 God damn Brookville has to be boring if that's a spot.

Why not mention the 1998 Camry LE in beige with the gold package and a missing hubcap.

This is just what I see go by my house, which is in the middle of nowhere. So yes, it's quite boring. Anything that isn't a Ford Focus, Chrysler minivan, Ford fullsize truck, Chevy fullsize truck, GM J-body, S10/Blazer, or a random domestic sedan from the 80s.. I constitute as a spot. :P

That Riviera was a 1972. It was MINT!!! Beautiful inside & out.

French guy owned it, (slight accent so I asked) he's had the car

for about 7 years, he just finished the restroration. He offered

to trade it straight up for the 2006 Corvette (manual, coupe) we

have with 15K miles, I was tempted to say "uhhh.... sure" give

him the keys to the late-model Chevy & take off the in the Rivi.

Others today:

- 1970 Buick GSX in saturn yellow... at Autozone w/ the hood up.

- 1949? DeSoto 4-dr in battleship gray

- 1965 Mustang notchback hardtop in burgundy

- 1967/8 Mustang ragtop in baby blue/white roof

- 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, 99% original (but I see it everyday, it's on the 3rd floor)

- 1960 Oldsmobile Super-88 four door hardtop "flattop" in white (ex-neighbor's)

- 1973 Mercury Cougar hardtop in red (have not seen this gen. Cougar in 6+ years)

not the car I saw but to illustrate the bodystyle:

I saw a base model new Tundra today..regular cab, short bed..silver w/ steel wheels, black bumpers. Pretty homely. I haven't seen any work truck/base versions of the '07 Silverado or Sierra yet, w/ black bumpers...I assume they exist?

Hmmm...interesting..the Fox Mustangs started out with the 2.8 V6 in '79, then switched to the 3.3L inline 6 mid-79. The 3.8L V6 replaced the 3.3 in '83 (according to Wikipedia). I don't think I've ever seen a straight 6 in a Fox Mustang, didn't realize they were offered with one (I'm more familiar with the 5.0s).

Yes, the Park Ave. had chromies...

"Theyz only six-teens but I keeps 'em clean!" :spin:

The B.P.A. was driven in by a lady who was interested

in the CROSSOVER Cadillac, NOT the SUV. (her words)

She thought the Escalade was VULGAR and disgusting.

The SRX seemed to please her but she was still a bit

ill tempered about the graystone metallic. :P

It's at a $h!-show gas station in Dracut Mass.

when I lifted up the hood and gazed at the six

spark plugs all in a line was the moment I

stopped thinking the guy was B.S.-ing me. To

be honest I had NO idea the Fox-body EVER

came with a inline-six.

If the Mustang's asking price was closer to

"actual cash value" I'd probably seriously

consider it for a cheap "fuel efficient" winter

beater, even though the automatic trans.

dissapointed me. It had a GHIA emblem on

the trunklid.

Actual cash value for that car is (IMO) $350

Just a second ago a silver late '80s Ferrari Testarossa rolled by.

The guy was not driving in a spirited manner at all... I did not

evennhear any detectable exhaust note. :(

A Sienna, marooned in the far left lane of the Beltway. Apparently, it's radiator exploded: coolant was everywhere. The new Tundra's also becoming popular around here. I saw several examples that ranged from the vulgar base-model regular cabs to the Limited CrewMax 5.7L's.

On the bright side, I saw a boat-tail Riviera, and the white '65 Cadillac Sedan deVille that recently appeared near my work is still there. I can look out the window at my leisure and admire it.

Aformentioned International "My Weiner is Extra Small" CXT pickup.

Razor cameras suck to begin with, in backlit situations they're useless.

And some jerk parked his old beat up Buick right in the middle

of the Brand New Cadillac line at work next to a 2008 DTS. :P

You may or may not be right. It was treated to very $h!ty paint and recent THICK bodywork that has made that awesome bodyline that comes to a point at the back a lot less pronounced. Actually, the horrible quality of both body and paint and quantity of bondo used reminds me a lot of the bodywork (and I use that term quite loosely) on my $200 beige house paint special '67 Eldorado parts car. At least it's still around, right?

there's been a CXT sitting in front of the area's international building for a while.

saw a, i'm guessing, 66 or so impala 4-door...maybe a 70's? had circle lights, 3 pairs, tops looked barely flattened. (not good at impala year guessing.)

I imagine you on a bike is quite the presence.

Hah. :P

Local ad I saw:

1996 Impala SS

Black with grey leather interior. Super clean. 8 way power seats, 5.7 fuel injected engine W/overdive Transmission, AC, power windows, remote door locks. Premium Sound System is the best I've ever heard. Kelly Bluebook retail value listed at 11,255. This car is a steal at $8,000.00.
