The entry model Kia Soul comes with a CVT now. Not sure about the rest of the Kia lineup.

Drove a 2016/17 Jeep Compass (old body style) with a CVT from NC to Arizona. I would not wish that POS on my worst enemy. Apparently makers and sellers of CVTs believe that people are never going to have to suddenly accelerate to pass slower moving vehicles.

On Tour - 2019 Buick Regal TourX
surreal1272 replied to regfootball's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Congrats on the car. They are nice rides, especially in AWD trims but I agree about the packaging and pricing. They make no sense, which has been par for the course with most GM models. I one year old models for around $27-29 with less than 20K miles on them so it sounds like you got a solid deal for yours. -
When you search for a particular car that is hard to find for sale (in this case, a Cadillac CTS Wagon) and get this as your only match in said search.

Sales: Sales Figure Ticker: September 2019
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Feel better now that you’ve gone on your tangent? My point was it doesn’t matter if you feel like you’ve seen one truck more than another. There are 330,000,000+ people in this country and you live in a county of just over 4 million. See the problem with your “logic” yet. You also have to be a diehard GM fan nut to believe that the RAM interior is somehow inferior to the GM twins. You also might be drunk. That’s the problem with the “opinions” of a few over the “opinions” of the many. Guess which category you fall under in regards to the RAM interior “opinion”? Oh and so what if they are selling the previous gen along side the new gen.? Guess it wasn’t a problem when GM did it. I could care less who outsells who but let’s keep it grounded in reality before you make up another excuse. Those kind of excuses are only reserved for Mercedes fans. -
Sales: Sales Figure Ticker: September 2019
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
You must different Phoenix, Arizona (parallel universe maybe?) because I've lived here for years and have seen plenty of the new RAMs and they are worlds better than what GM is offering right now (can't even begin to compare the interiors of the two). I will say this. If it weren't for Jeep and RAM, FCA would already be dead in this country. -

That's because they can be recorded much faster on one hand lol. "Explain" it all you want. All you can reasonably determine is that folks want the GLE and not much else. Fact.- 19 replies

Thank you Captain Correcty. If you actually read the post above that, you would have seen that I listed the GLC under models with a positive gain.- 19 replies

September 2019: Mercedes-Benz USA
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Good thing you explained that. It seems like Mercedes is the only with older models on the way out, model changeovers, or any other number of excuses you have given Mercedes whenever things are less than stellar for them. And if all people want are more SUVs, why are Mercedes SUVs showing a decline (save for the G Class)?- 19 replies

September 2019: Honda Motor America
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Trolling extra hard on the sales threads ain't we? Yeah, completely fair comparison being that the RLX is a AWD or AWD hybrid only model. Oh and we will skip the part about the E Class sales being down from this time last year. -
You do understand that not every car needs to have competition right? Every model you have posted represents a tiny fraction of sales and this perfectly illustrates why companies like GM don’t need to waste too much time with niche models like that when their bigger things to worry about long term. And go hug yourself because I’m not angry at all. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Just done placating children like yourself.

See Drew’s post on the CT4 thread regarding sales of certain AMG lines and why your assertion about GM is indeed a “big whoop”.

"Superior fit and finish" that starts with faux leather on the "best or nothing" while displaying a design that only Helen Keller could love. Those pics do the C Class and A Class no favors. If those had any other badge on the hood, the resident Daimler fans would be losing their minds at how cheap it looks compared to Benz.
-
It's a silly word from two decades ago used by silly little boys when they think they're being clever.
-
Good grief. We get it. SMK hijacked your account or you've been huffing Daimler exhaust fumes again. *Continues to act like a thirteen year old boy quoting his favorite "wrastlers". You haven't had an original thought since you first farted. Everything else is purely derivative. Just finished rewatching Dexter for probably the nineteenth time (except for season eight which was garbage).
-
Oh, its hurts (sarcasm wholly intended). Calls someone "unoriginal" yet uses the EXACT same word made popular by a wrestler almost twenty years ago. Next time you want to call me out, follow your own advice and speak when spoken to bitch.

(Looks for FWD Cadillac that GM could produce this Transverse mounted engine for. Sees nothing because Cadillac doesn't produce FWD sedans anymore and hasn't for decades now). In other words, bIG wHoOp.

That and introduce premium level cars like the CLA and now The A Class as opposed to their normal luxury level cars. Seems like GM has done something like that long before then. What was it? It’s on the top of my tongue. I think it rhymes with Puick. GM has been doing pseudo luxury/entry line premium cara for a decades and Mercedes has picked up that cue over the last five or six’s years. in other words, your assertion that manufacturing cars is the only thing they have in common is not accurate. Kind of a Jabroni move to assume such things.

The slab of woodgrain in the center stack looks very fake but I have never been a fan of glossy wood trim because to the naked eye, it just looks like high grade plastic. The matte finish in the top pic is nominally better but still "meh" to me. Like someone said, different strokes for different folks. Both Benz models look like they have about five different design directions going on with no real sense of cohesiveness. Both the CT4 and CT5 are much more consistent in this regard. Oh and when did having plastic buttons become a bad thing? If that is the case, can I point out all the plastic buttons in the above pics? Geez. Talk about nitpicking.
-
And thus proving my point. If you’re going to try and sit there while gaslighting folks, at least be good at it. Otherwise, just $h! up and grow the f@#k up.
-
Tell it to ccap. I dropped it yesterday and he decides to continue to troll me after that fact and not wants to pretend that he innocent in $h! that was of his own doing. It merited a response and I stand by it.
-
What was that about trolling? You posted (after Drew said for us to chill) and I responded. Drop the BS already Mr. Escalator.
-
My mental note is that your post is 100% BS and you know it (since you’re the one who said “use a better source” which was clearly directed at me) but moving on... One has to be smoking the fanboy cigar pretty hard to think that the ATS looks better than the CT4 (especially the interior). Is it perfect? Nope. Is it a step up from the ATS? Seems like it. In other words, nothing you stated in your “intentional troll” post was actually wrong meaning someone else jumped the gun and way overanalyzed it but hey...that’s okay. It’s easier to criticize others when you don’t own a mirror.
