  3. I can't get the code to work but here is a link to GM's page: http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayServlet...amp;docid=50747

  5. My screen name refers to a stylish single cab chevy I had when I went to college and joined this board. The SS I thought was pretty neat. Had nothing to do with lifestyle choice. You can all think what you want which is what is great about this country but, there is no convincing me that the gay lifestyle is "okay." Like I have said several hundred times now, I don't think it should be legislated because that isn't the role of goverment. However, if you open your mouth in public it is open for discussion like it or not.
  6. For those comparing the gay movement to the racial issues of the past... shame on you! Not even close.
  7. You apparently misunderstand me. Afraid of homosexuals no. Disagree with the LIFESTYLE yes. Any person with a brain would notice that it wasn't meant that way. The only arguement that homosexuals produce for the LIFESTYLE choice is that they are born that way. Well if you are indeed born that way why aren't we seeking a cure? Like a said before, you disagree with what I think and that is fine. I have no problem with that. You do. That sums up the whole issue nationally.
  8. On the spending note, we have had Democratically controlled congress for almost as long as we have had Bush. The President himself is not responsible for writting law or for that matter lately, approving it. Regardless of party we need term limits in both the House and Senate. After that is accomplished every single department within the US government should be responsible for writing a budge that prioritzes spending. From there, the Office of Budget should then organize priorities for the entirety. Put income tax (taken as 17% of all income no matter brackets) at the top and go down the list until you run out of money. Programs below the black number lose. Do it every year. Forever.
  9. Where do we need to get exactly? I will never be in favor of gay and lesbian couples. Period. However, I will never pursue legislation that allows or disallows it. It simply is not the job of the government. So, I will again iterate... if it is brought up in public it is open for public discussion. PS "IF" you are indeed born gay or lesbian why hasn't anybody sought government funding for finding a cure?
  10. Republicans and Democrats alike are both cut from different cloths on social issues. One tenant to both parties however, is that democrats seek to improve quality of life through government run social programs while Republicans are fiscally conservative. What this means in plain english is that Republicans and Democrats clash on spending money. Everything else is based on what part of the country they are from, a democrat from the south will most likely have differing viewpoints from a dem. from the north. Same with east and west coast vs. mid america. Back to this particular issue. Disclosing what you think, feel, or way of life in a public manner allows for open discussion. Censoring AFA is similar to censoring GLAD. Frankly, I wish the whole issue would go away with both sides agreeing not to talk about it in public.
  11. Upon further scruitiny I find your graphic to reinforce my opinion those it doesn't reinforce Obama's statements. His taxes increase for the wealthiest Americans while decreasing taxes the most for those Amercians that use the most government services. How is this equitable? If we HAVE to have nationalized healthcare or a million other socialistic programs (i.e. Social Security) why not follow the Brits and have a flat 17% income tax?
  12. Croc, I don't know where you got your graphic. Truly it doesn't matter, the man himself stated it on national television. Fact.
  13. Pure and simple, here is what is wrong with Obama: From 60 Minutes interview: Interviewer: "Mr. Obama, you and John McCain both say that you are giving tax breaks. How are your's different?" Obama: "My tax breaks will roll back the Bush tax cuts that Mr. McCain would like to continue like the previous administration. My tax breaks would focus on giving MONEY BACK TO THE MIDDLE CLASS WHO WOULD SPEND IT RATHER THAN SAVE IT. If you earn less that $100,000 a year you will see the most benefit. If you earn more than $250,000 a year you will pay slightly more taxes." Interviewer: "What about if you earn less than $250,000 and $100,000 a year?" Obama: "Well, Mike [interviewer] uh... [pause] your taxes will go up some." Mr. Obama's tax "cuts" are similar to a Robin Hood plan or some would even call it socialist. I find it ironic however, that he really aims to increase taxes upon the people who vote Republican. Most successful small business owners, a mostly Republican bunch, fall in the 100k-250k range. The "Whine and Cheese" Dems who have supported Obama for the most part will not see much change in his tax policies. Furthermore, most of Obama's policies address the symptom not the problem. If most of America can't afford healthcare but can afford 17 million cars sold at an average of 24k=$408 billion something is wrong. Just that one consumer item would amount to $113/month per individual drawing breath in this great country. You think that could buy some damn insurance for those who STATE they can't afford it? Obama like many of those who support him (voting on issues alone, not race) don't know when to stop the entitlement arguement. Not everyone needs a home. Many can't afford it, now we are all paying for it. Not everyone needs the latest cell phone, car, furniture, clothing good, video game, computer, etc. Much of America simply wants more stuff without earning it (i.e. credit crisis) so they turn to government rather than changing their priorities. We DESPERATELY need a President that will bring individual accountability to the table. I don't see either candidate doing that.
  14. There obviously were more than a couple of dealerships last month that took delivery of Titans, Armadas, and Quests with absolutely none moving out the door. Inventory levels probably suck all over.
  15. It is a Toyota Harrier, which is sold in the US as the Lexus RX. The RX is based off of the Camry.
  16. Most of those vehicles are projected anyway, the Rogue and 1-Series have not been on the market long enough to determine 5-year values. I don't place much faith in a fabricated article.
  17. This view is unattractive but the car as a whole looks very sophisticated.
  18. The driver in the ZR1 was not pushing it. Top speed in the film showed 175 in the straight. It can go faster than that.
  19. Smaller engines in luxury cars are commonplace throughout Europe. The E-Class, 5-Series, and Audi A6 are all offerred in the motherland with small displacement varriants.
  20. I think GM and Honda have been teaming up. Ever since the 3.0l V6 showed up in the Vue, something has been up.
  21. Am I the only one who doesn't like this vehicle? The rear looks like origami. Oh well, I have never been in the market for an estate.
  22. Truthfully man I have to say that I love Acura and went the to Acura dealer first. After a drive in the MDX I thought it was neat, we even took it home but... for grins we tried out the new Pilot. Sure, the interior design isn't quite as nice but, it IS STILL very nice. Handling was similar unless you pushed it hard into corners (the advantage of SH-AWD) but, other than that even the suspension setups are the EXACT same UNLESS you spare for the MDX Sport which features active dampers to change ride and handeling characteristics but, even still... the last MDX was every bit a cut above the Pilot offering feature you just could not get on the pilot (i.e. nav until the '06 model change). I LOVE Acura but... even the Acura dealer acknowledged the Pilot had it beat this year. Apparently though, there is an MCE next year for the MDX that should fix all of the "deficiencies" I mentioned. Oh and... the TSX desiel is real, apparently it was shown to the dealers when they previewed the new TL.
  23. The current SRX's problem was not capability. The problem was that it looked like a CTS wagon. No one in the market for a sport SUV is going to buy a wagon. I don't see why Saturn as a premium brand couldn't offer what this vehicle will have. Cadillac was to have unique platforms and styling and as a result it would be one of its strongest selling points. What prevented Cadillac from doing an RX if that was there intention off of Sigma? The only thing I can think is that the decision was made to ax the sigma platform after CTS development reached critical mass and SRX was still up in the air. Either way, I guess the thing most upsetting about this vehicle is that it is a dent in the armor that shows that development money at GM is tight. After all that is how Nissan ended up with a Murano and FX.
  24. No really, check again. The NG A5/S5 combo are RWD. Just went to Audi's website. Both are AWD and RWD biased.
