  1. This was expect with the ending of the Employee discount and now the redtag pricing should help December sales some. When compared to Toyota and all the bad press and them being down 41 next to GM's 31 doesn't seem to bad. I am not to suprised but still sick then again compare them to Toyota we didn't fair to bad.
  2. I know not everyone likes my Pontiac CUV, but I do, but seriously I hope your right I still think a new G6 on the EP II designed right that handles well with the G8 and Solstice along with a large sports coupe would be a great Pontiac. I do think one FWD model (G6) is still a good idea. I just hope you are right, but Saturn on chopping block is great news for me and you. Could Pontiac get Opels?
  3. Pontiac will get smaller seriously, but I doubt there future will be without a volume model like the G6, but expect a G8, Solstice and a sports coupe as well. That would be a Pontiac I think many could get excited about.
  4. Would this mean we will still get them sold in US then go for it.
  5. Congrats on the new Mini, Satty you will like it. Does this mean no more Prius? Von I would go with that silver GP over that G6 anyday, sorry I love the chrome wheels and 3800 with silver.
  6. That day can't soon enough no more Saturn, cars that Pontiac should have got. Do you see Pontiac going away or refocusing of them to purely cars and maybe a new G6 the rest being performance? Or do you see this as the begining of the end or do you think GM is smart enough not to kill them? It happend with Olds and it will happen again if Pontiac goes, they will go to Nissan/Dodge just watch. Although I am hopefully after reading this in these forums and the pdf sounds like Pontiac will stay... What do you personally think though Camino? Am I wasting my time praying for Pontiac?
  7. I also would bet Pontiac will be focused more towards performance with one maybe two volume models like a G5/G6.
  8. I am very happy indeed is this offical? As long as they live, and does this mean we will get rebadge Opels and Holdens along with some unique product? That is me reading between the lines if Saturn will get the axe. I like the sound of this plan I would focus GMC for commercial trucks (medium duty, and get rid of the Kodiak) and also luxury Denali models. This is frankly a good plan and I think GM can do it, so long as the core and old brands Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Pontiac all stay. Works for me. Thank God for Pontiac, even if they never make another SUV again (which maybe they shouldn't) I at least have mine and love it. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. Pontiac has way more potential than Saturn does. Saturn and Saab should be sold along with Hummer if any brands have to go. Saturn never was really seen as part of GM anyways nor very American, some people still believe it is an Asian company! Bundle them with Saab another company folks don't think GM owns and then slide Hummer in to dump them and that would be pretty much a way to get rid of them. Theny you are left with "core" old fashioned and storied brands. Pontiac can be performance with FWD/AWD/RWD and the same platforms as its cousins but with different styling and more power/handling at a great price that is a slight premium to Chevrolet yet below Buick/Cadillac. It is pretty simple. I would like to see Hummer go first, followed by Saab then Saturn. Pontiac cannot go and will not go trust me those folks will buy Nissan.
  10. I like that thing, I hope it doesn't end up as a fake GTO wagon. But an Endura front and with Lemans badging wouldn't bug me.
  11. Saw a young guy driving a 2008/9 CTS in Crimson Red with standard 3.6L and AWD he had a huge smile on his face. Not to mention the fact his wife was hott, also the car needs different base wheels.
  12. Some good ideas are getting tossed around here.
  13. That is pretty stupid and not very bright. Lots of Detriot brands Chevrolet, Pontiac and Buick are built in Southern Canada.
  14. Honestly you got it right again. Don't bring in the Charger it isn't doing much better when you take out fleet sales.
  15. I know I got the issue and now subscribe to it as well. It was AN EXCELLENT ARTICLE. The 2.4 Turbo is a great motor.
  16. I really don't think killing ANY BRANDS except for Hummer, Saturn and Saab is a good idea. Pontiac has way to much heritage and way to many dealers in BPG or Chev, Pont, Buick that I see alot of. Olds market share was lost the sales went to Acura and Lexus not Pontiac and Buick like GM thought. There is no way that GM would ever want to dream of killing off Pontiac, that would be plain stupid, that brand has a history and a pulse that Saturn can't match. Pontiac has adapted through good times and bad and they will again. When you get down to the core GM Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac and GMC that is all you need and should have left if you must cut. I would refocus GMC on only building luxury/medium duty trucks and take the Kodiak away from Chevrolet and just give it too GMC. Trust me loyal Pontiac owners won't go to Buick or Chevrolet, they will go to Dodge of Nissan just watch. If Pontiac is gets killed I might end up buying my first HONDA.
  17. I'd spend a litte more and get a 2008-2009 Cobalt SS.
  18. :rotflmao: I have said it once, I will say it again, the G8 GT is great car. It will help change the way the folks see Pontiac.
  19. :rotflmao:
  20. Rick can drive, and he should. Put a few black Tahoe Hybrids around him no-one will mess with him.
  21. I enjoyed all three, sad thing is they are all true.
  22. I understand what your saying but still, HATE is the word I would use too sorry.
  23. It had to have been intentional he even had a has blinker on like he was trying to fool the cop. How did he get the back end of the 4 banger Camri over the Vicy? (Must ride like a truck!) This made my day! Too funny.
  24. I don't know isn't he dead? I did like Lee Trevino when he did Cadillac ads in the early 90's tho.
  25. That is so true, those ads really pushed me to buy a Pontiac back in 1990 over a Chevrolet or Olds, that I was looking at. They need that slogan back, they also cars that have unqiue designs at least and look exciting. I could be happy with "We are driving excitement" from the late 90's also. I would devote some money for Pontiac give them the come-back they deserve this way. The OC is right on.
