    Invicta name out

Lucerne and Lasaunne sound way too wimpy for me. I like Statesman better than Invicta, but would have much rather heard Roadmaster or Park Avenue used.
  2. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Great, BV called me stupid, and now I'm going to spiral into another depression Okay, maybe a poor time to make a joke, but I think my sense of humor helped me get through some rough times. That, and creativity (you guys should meet "The Force".)
  4. BV, not everyone feels it during the course of their life...... and to those who have never, just understand it makes complete sense at the time. Not that I'm saying it's right. Never thought things would get better when I tried. Granted a lot of the things that bugged me then are still bugging me, medication does wonders for making someone not feel so hopeless 100% of the time. Meds helped it make things seem hopeless 99% of the time--and it was that 1% I needed to battle the thoughts in my mind--to tell myself, "Hey, maybe if this one element in my life is good, there can be other good elements one day?" The funny thing about my "suicide attempts" is that, I was doing it for the obsessive guilt I felt (guilt brought on by my mind--I didn't do anything wrong)--it was the guilt I felt thinking of all the extra work I'd cause for people if I killed myself, like arranging a funeral, cleaning up the body, etc. Thank God I had a friend who was intelligent to play off my guilt issues. Bowtie, I'm so sorry you and your wife had to see that.

    Next Honda Accord

I don't see it. I mean, one car has an "H" and the other, a "T".What are you talking about? Okay, so, yeah, they look similar. Let's wait until some actual photos come out before we pass judgement. But hey, if the new Accord looks like this, with Honda's interiors and handling/powertrains, they'll be a good sell. Just, uh, let's pray for no fires LOL
  6. Hey... be grateful you're not going through a sympathetic pregnancy. I did that with my friend's pregnancy... it wasn't until 5 months in I went to the dr complaining of irritability, dull pains in odd places, odd cravings, extremely emotional, etc. I almost blacked out when he told me. Now, I just think it's funny. Thank God I don't live with her anymore, because she's 8.5 months pregnant now with her second! Odd though, her husband didn't get the sympathetic pregnancy, but I did?!

    Next Honda Accord

Eh, not bad. I'm willing to bet that the final product will be nicer... not to mention the interior gorgeous and powertrains upped.

    Invicta name out

Albeit you prefer it to be "harsh", however, it doesn't fit in with the "soft" names the entire lineup has. Want bold? Go to another name. Roadmaster, Statesman, etc., fine. Better yet, deliver AWESOME content, and whatever you name it will become "bold".
  10. Happy Birthday! And way to make us feel OLD!

    Invicta name out

Not true. I, with several others, felt the Invicta name was a horrible idea. Too harsh sounding.
  12. We had an `82 Malibu Classic Sedan when I was a lad. Biggest piece of $h! EVER. I don't even remember if the car hit 100,000 miles? But that's not to say anything about your car... tons of luck! And, you've posted a picture that I can ask people questions about, because this is what I remember an engine looking like when you opened up the hood. Now, cars don't look anything like that to me. I always wanted to ask specific questions about certain things show in the above pic... so thanks! Again, best of luck!
  13. It doesn't look that bad on an all black Lucerne. Just picture it with the chrome ventiports, chrome around the windows, and other chrome trim.
  14. Happy Birthday Nick!!
  15. I wanna see pictures of the changes damnit! :AH-HA_wink:

    Death of the V8?

Uh, I don't think he's talking about the quantity of pistons, but more the "bore and stroke" of a piston if you will.
  17. Nice review. The car is great--I'd like my Caddy to have a slightly more upscale interior for the 41K pricetag, but the NG CTS will take care of that.
  18. Oh God, that would have been an AWESOME Buick!
  19. Hah, funny... All of the Buick logos on my car (all except the one on the steering wheel and the hood ornament), the wheelcovers, the trunk lock logo, etc., have ALL faded and become monochromatic--sorta like the newer Buick logos. Maybe I should buy these and stick them in front of the lower portion of the front doors on my Century?
  20. Congrats Intrigued! You should get pictures of yourself with the new car... you know, so one day you can remember yourself with the car at that age. Not like we're trying to get you in pictures or anything--that'd be for the "other" topic.

    ....

Kinda reminds me of the wood used in the Enclave... I wonder what the production version of the wood will look like?

    ....

Not that bad... yet not that much different than the current model. I wonder what the power output of the 4.0L will be.
  23. Oh well, the revival of Buick will have to wait a little longer.
  24. Glad to hear you're okay Satty! It's a shame... sounds like a freak accident. Glad to hear the catscan came back fine.
  25. What the hell is wrong with the Italian thing!?
