Came across a new Porsche book after reading the review by blogger Joe Sherlock, his review is below and another showing sample pics, book cover etc. Got mine on amazon.com, but they seem to be out of stock at the moment. It's real nice, mainly covers the air cooled 356 & 911, which are my favorites anyway, lol. https://www.4legend.com/2020/livre-cranswick-on-porsche-de-marc-cranswick-veloce-publishing/ Joe Sherlock review

At the prestigious Detroit Auto Show on December 21, 2007 Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 - an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design. The ZR1 is instantly recognizable, with perhaps the most identifiable feature a raised, all-carbon-fiber hood that incorporates a clear, polycarbonate window. The window provides a view of the top of the engine's intercooler, with the legend "LS9 SUPERCHARGED" embossed on the left and right sides, and an engine cover with the Corvette crossed flags logo debossed at the front. Jada Toys, makers of popular diecas…

GM is a vehicle supplier for the upcoming (7-4-07) live-action "Transformers" movie, and there are already some shots out of a couple of the car/robot toys. See the links below and click on "NEXT" to the upper-right of the pic: Solstice Some kinda GMC truck thing There's also supposed to be a new concept Camaro, but I couldn't find any pics of that one. I'm quite stoked at being able to combine my love of GM w/ my Transformers geekitude! Enjoy!

Picked up this years Hallmark ornaments this weekend... The Classic American Cars Series was a T-bird. The All American Trucks Series was a yellow SSR. And... a no series ornament this year is the Corvette Stingray Concept (also known as Sideswipe). There is no Transformers tie-in with this, so this may be the first semi-realistic rendering of this car.

To the best of my knowledge, Hot Wheels is the only model manufacturer that has all but one Monte Carlo generation depicted in some way, shape or form ... and I now have at least one of each generation! Pics are not the best, though.... 1st Gen (1970)... 2nd gen (1973-5)... 3rd gen (1980)... 4th gen (1987)... Next generation (Intimidator Concept, 1999 ... for 2000+ models)... Group... For those that have ever fell in love with the 1953 GM Futurliner, or have been lucky to see the fully restored-to-original condition one (like Oldsmoboi, Ocnblu and myself at the '06 AACA Fall Meet in Hershey), you will appreciate this new book. And knowing that the purchase of the book helps to maintain the restored 'liner makes it even better. http://www.futurliner.com/items.htm

Just found this one this past weekend; couldn't pass on it! The color is corral (pinkish) over white, although the pics make it look more redish over white. The funny thing is that it's not even listed on the back of teh card with the rest of the cars in the series.

I just got my copy today straight from GM. Here's the link: Setting the Pace Almost 500pgs. Lot of color photos, illustrations, historical stuff. Chronicles many of the neat stories behind the cars that were made. Pretty much the whole N-body development is detailed. Great item for the GM and Olds fan and cheaper than I've seen it elsewhere. Plus, they're brand-new, so quality is guaranteed.

After getting an e-mail from the Franklin Mint about a limited-edition, web-exclusive Mercedes gullwing diecast model, I decided to check out their website to see if any new GM models were available. While disappointed that the offerings have been trimmed, they do have the following for sale: 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Hardtop Coupe (in two colors): 1957 Chevy Bel Air "Fuelie": 1956 Chevy Cameo Pickup: I'm particularly interested in the '56 Cameo, as this is the first time a 1956 model is being offered (Franklin Mint has done the '55 Cameo and Danbury Mint offers the '57 Cameo). Now hopefully DM offers a '58, as they have both the stepside and fleetside…

I just ordered my own copy, seems as if you have to go through www.Solsticestuff.com, Amazon.com (Amazon Marketplace) or through the publisher's own website (http://www.lammmorada.com) to order it. The cost - $34.95 + s&h. So far every Solstice owner that has bought or received this book has had nothing but good things to say about it. Only one chapter though on the SKY Thought I'd pass along this info, for anyone out there interested in reading about General Motors.
