Road & Track Performance Car of the Year
I'm kind of neutral on the looks of the C7. In "regular" form it's only "okay" to me. But dressed up in its race track clothes on the GS and Z06 I like. Granted, in those clothes it looks very much boy-racer with all the little bits and pieces added on. Also, I think the Z06 was the only C7s that have had issues. I don't think I can recall a Stingray or GS with any issues.

A review of the 2017 Continental, chosen just because they have what appear to be decent images of the car
And you act like a douche when you disagree with people. Like I said, and I should have stopped there like I said I would, you need to word things differently because you come off as a dick. Continental: Good car. Still doesn't truly compete with the Germans though. You "asked" I answered. Use me own words "against" me if you feel like that justifies your over-the-top reactions to people not thinking Lincoln is quite on the level of a true luxury automaker yet.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-Benz Shows Off Not One, But Two X-Class Pickups
Okay, I can see what you're talking about. That makes sense. And yeah, I forgot about that(bolded area). I forget that everything is electronic and theoretically you can have your foot 1/4 into the pedal and the throttle is 3/4 opened making the correct power/air:fuel ratio. And yes, Escape 2.0T.

Uhhh... are there any other engine configurations..? But there are really only two that even cross lines at all in the ZL1 and GT500.

THIS is what started the "dramatic"-ness. They stated their opinion and instead of saying something a long the lines of, "I don't think there is too much chrome, I think it was done tastefully." you essentially challenge somebody's opinion with an opinion. WTF? Meaning, your opinion means more and holds more value than anybody else's.

So it's a made up survey of his opinion.. so freakin' what? You get so overly defensive over people's opinions... And I would believe/agree with him, minus Buick. I still don't hear people talking about Buick as a luxury car. When I've been around people and luxury cars come up Lincoln does not until I mention the new Conti. Lincoln doesn't have the greatest name right now. They're working on overcoming dressed up Fords for the past 10 or so years(which they're still doing but executing better).

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-Benz Shows Off Not One, But Two X-Class Pickups
With my experience in my Escape I don't really agree with that.. OEM turbos on "average" vehicle(excluding race car-like exotics) spool nearly instantaneous(they're all tiny turbos). For example, when the 3.5EB came out in the SHO they marketed it as reaching full boost at driveway speeds. That definitely is not 1/2 throttle. And there are definitely different levels of boost. It isn't an all or nothing type of thing. I hear mine spool when I have the accelerator light enough to shift at 2,000-2,500rpm. It definitely isn't just a n/a 4cyl but it isn't utilizing full boost then either.

What poll or survey are you talking about to begin with? I also think Lincoln should have released this car with the 9spd. I know GM apparently gets first dibs on it but they needed to release this with more than an older 6spd when everything it's trying to compete with has 7-9 ratios. I realize they shouldn't have made something specifically for this but maybe held off a year on the release and in that time try and cut some poundage out of it.

Ultimate Dream Garage: Predecessor Edition
One day I'll have one as a second, toy car.. I love that that feels like the last generation of just a basic V8 car. Not much electronic going on inside, it's small, just a simple car. One-Dimensional? I have a couple of daily drivers in there.. I really wanted a 458 and that would have superseded the GT probably but I just like the rarity of the GT and thought it would be cool to have both of the gnarly pony cars of the same era. I could have easily chosen faster and better all around cars...

Hmmmm interesting.. alright alright.. I assume that's where the Boss 302 fits in as well?

Ultimate Dream Garage: Predecessor Edition
If anything the CTS-V Wagon shouldn't count as they don't make a 2017 or 2016 wagon. What's the Boss 302 a predecessor of? GT350?

FWIW, I consider "excessive chrome" when it's added to mirrors and stripes on the side. I'm like @dfelt in that I'm more of a monochromatic kind of person and I'd like both of those pieces to be body color. The big chrome grill is okay and works on this car. I do like the natural, outdoor lighting as opposed to any of the other pictures that have been taken of the car. That burgundy color... looks absolutely wonderful!!

VW News: 2018 Volkswagen Atlas Has A Tough Task Ahead of It
I think it looks "okay". Nothing flashy or special but that's how VW does things. I'm fine with that simplicity. I'm just not sure how I feel about the engine choices. I know Ford tried to use a 2.0T 4cyl in the Explorer and it was a failure and this seems to be the same thing. It was 240hp/270tq. I can't see this being significantly lighter than the Explorer to benefit from that same power ratings. The jump to the 2.3T and 280hp/310tq is more what's necessary for a 3 row SUV. A n/a V6(nearly an inline6) can't be all that much better... I think it's safe to assume it will be the same as in the Touareg = 280hp/266tq and in that it get's an outstanding 1mpg better combined than an Explorer w/ the 3.5EB.

18 cubic feet behind the rear seats of the Mecan? Why not just buy a Cayman with that kind of space. That's just a tad over half of the cargo space in my Escape and the Jag. I know I don't need a lot of space but that's legitimately small. The Trunk of a fusion is 16cu.ft., Malibu 15.8, Camry 15.4, etc.. I know I'm picking at something small but people do buy these for their space and that number just doesn't make sense to me. Gimme the Jag because it looks better and makes more sense. If I were actually spending my own money I think it would be between the F-Pace and an AMG GLC 43

What Would You Buy Instead: Porsche 911 Carrera Edition
Yeah I've owned a black car and in the right(wrong) weather and time of year every day is what it would take. Winter or the times of year when farmers are doing whatever to their fields and there's just a ton of dust in the air.. I would wash my car about every Sunday and it could have easily been twice a week to keep it looking how I wanted.
