It's there to fill the gap between the bumper and body. That's probably a modern aftermarket Continental kit. Good day for old GM sightings... saw a clean white early Fiero GT, a clean white mid 80s Cutlass Supreme 2dr (white 1/4 top and red interior), a clean bronze early 80s Camaro Berlinetta, a clean black '67 Camaro, a clean yellow '75 Olds 88 convertible top down, tan interior...a couple out enjoying the beautiful Friday afternoon weather...

That would definitely be the way the German 3 approach the market...

Chevrolet News:Officially Official: Corvette Starts at $59,995

It will be interesting to see how the performance compares to cars like the Ferrari 488. In Z51 spec the estimated 0-60 time sounds in the same range, but over $200k less... It's in the 718 Boxster/Cayman price range, but potentially playing at a higher level... -

LoL....I've worn New Balance since high school, and am XXL... but I don't go to Old Country Buffet and don't plan on buying a Vette anytime soon... -
Interesting how the trim below the decklid/above the rear bumper differs between the 60S and the 75..

I meant stop selling to (and thus shipping product to) these corrupt dealers. Make them hurt...the current franchising model is obsolete and stupid, IMO... -
VW News: Forbidden Fruit: Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Volkswagen
Yet somehow the Wrangler continues to succeed with the primitive approach and removable tops. Sounds like the new Bronco may have a version with such a configuration. Will be interesting to see if it works for them.- 42 replies

And the Broncos, Scouts, Ramchargers, Blazers and Jimmies didn't even have normal convertible tops but primitive tops that snapped on and had to be manually removed. Very different from a proper power folding top like the Murano CC, Evoque, or T-Roc have...- 42 replies

If they see dealers surcharging, they should stop shipping cars to them for a year to penalize them. -
Saw a dark gray Aston Martin Vanquish on a windy backroad yesterday, and went past a house with an interesting group of GM cars in the driveway--a really clean late 90s tan Cadillac Sedan de Ville, a bright red '04-06 GTO, a black Chevy SS, and a modified '80s Regal--possibly a GN---in a custom bronze/gold paint job w/ cowl hood, black centered BBS wheels--very sharp.

The Wrangler does well in this niche. But I like the idea of a convertible SUV w/ a power top. A 2dr Grand Cherokee cabrio would be sweet...- 42 replies

Sorta kinda a replacement for the late Beetle and Eos cabriolets. Those were neat cars...I can see the appeal of such a convertible...not a performance car, but a cruiser..saw a brown Eos on the ferry out to Kelleys Island last Saturday..on a sunny, 75 degree summer day it could be fun.- 42 replies

Yeah, by making extra payments I've knocked off almost a year so far. My goal is to pay off the 30 year in 15-20 years, which is doable, though I may move before then.

Neat...kind of a budget Evoque cabriolet. Not sure how big the market for a crossover cabrio is... but, I like seeing offbeat stuff like this.- 42 replies

I've made a extra payments to get my 30 to 26 years now (2 1/2 years into it)...may look into a 15 year. But I may be getting another mortgage for a vacation home sooner than later...

No, just an idiot. They were seized when he was arrested last year, but he may get them back after probation ends next year..but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, the automakers shift to CUVs and SUVs seems short sighted if a downturn is coming...smaller, cheaper cars seem more likely to sell in a down market...

Yeah, the older ZJ (93-98) and WJ (99-04) GCs had solid front axles. They went to IRS with the WK ('05-10). I've had both a WJ ('00) and now a WK2 ('14) and love them..... Wranglers are fun off road toys, wouldn't mind having one for the weekends, but no bueno as a daily driver, IMO. Though I have a few friends that daily Wrangler Unlimiteds and love them. I prefer the GC's refinement and creature comforts.

Heh heh..just a pile of a few weeks of Prime delivery boxes, need to recycle...

Current TLX has been around since 2014, so it's probably based on the 9th generation Accord platform that was around 5 years ago..

My new wheel barrel is on point with the blackout trim and wheel package fad seen on current utility vehicles...

An early 'donk'... heh-heh...

Yeah, the only instances of DW with GCs I've heard of were with the ZJs and WJs which had solid front axles, and was pretty uncommon w/ them...it's a Wrangler thing.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-AMG One Delayed
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Mercedes-Benz
That's all theoretical at this point, though...if it ever gets into production, then maybe such numbers might mean something...but who cares. Outside of a few journos or M-B test drivers, it will never see a track.
