Here's a picture I took last September of my car, a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis. You may recognize it from the Frappr! page:

This was my last generation Pontiac Grand Prix (W Body). I liked this generation alot, even with the overhangs. This was summer 2004. As you can see, I hadn't brought my dry cleaning in yet.

A couple weeks ago, there was a little accident on the farm. One of the guys we have working for harvest sideswiped my dads 04 Silverado with a piece of equipment. Destroyed the whole driver side of the pickup. The insurance company totalled it. Hopefully tomorrow my dad will be picking up a 2008 Silverado LT1. Optioned for the 5.3, the 3.73, and trailering package. Nothing too special, but will be much nicer than his 04 Silv. LS. If he gets it tomorrow I will try to snap a few pics.

Guess how much I paid....? . . . . . . . . It's a 1995 chevy 'Burb 1500 LT 4x4, on the floor transfer case lever, and MOST importantly, it has BARN doors. I'm 100% with XP on that, just as ALL Camaros and post 1949 Cadillacs should have hardtop greenhouses & NOT B-pillars w/ glued in fixed windows like some garbage-pile Japanese economy cars, real Chevy/GMC Trucks should have barn-doors, not lift-gates like a Honda Civic. Oh, the truck has 184,700 miles on it. Sooooo, guess how much I paid?

Just wanted to drop a line in here... figured I'd peek in here to see how things go. Anyhow, my house is pretty much a GM house, with products from three decades and four divisions. My main car is my 2004 Pontiac GTO in silver, now almost completed with the process of a LHD Holden Monaro conversion (only missing some seat covers). Some pics: The exterior: Underhood - I tried my hand at airbrushing some Corvette fuel rail covers: List of mods: Engine: * K&N AirCharger short-ram intake & baffle * Hand ported/polished throttle-body w/ coolant bypass * NGK TR55IX Iridium Spark Plugs (gap to 0.055 inch) * Taylor "409" 10.4mm wi…

Okay... so rememebr how my buddy Sean owed me like $2600+ from our crazy roadtrip to No. Carolina when I sold his 1969 Camaro on eBay? Sept. 2005 Well, I finally tracked down that guy after gettig blown off for a few months. Long story short he's hurting for money and so I decided to take a vehicle of his as partial payment. I was really hoping he'd give me his 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SEC. It's a true pillarless hardtop! Well that did not happen. *DAMN* But I did get a scummy death-trap of a truck. It's a 1988 Chevy Blazer Silverado that's been riden hard and put away wet. I've had some rusted out, squeaky, dented & Carbon-monoxide spewing POS beaters in my day bu…

Just bought a black Lt with sunroof, and the bright Chrome package. It has the 2.4. I am really surprised with the room, and it has more cargo space than my in laws Pt. The 2.4 is really peppy, too. I'll Will add pics when I take them, having too much fun driving it.

...A VW. It's a 1998 Jetta GT. It has a 2.0l 4cyl, automatic, moonroof, alarm, air conditioning, and only 68k miles. It's not perfect, there are some flaws, but it's mechanically sound. I was cautious about buying a VW, but I didn't buy it blind. I looked into its reliability ratings and common issues, got a carfax report and had it checked out by a mechanic before I bought it. It runs very well and is rather peppy for only having 116 hp. Rides nicely, too. It has alot of quicks I'm not used to, though. The seats recline using a twist knob, the single door lock button is on the center stack, the wiper stalk functions oppositely of how I would expect, the headlight k…

Surprise. Family vehicle change again. I'm no longer around to see them happen, except for my own, but a picture texted today said it all. Mom. Camaro. Loved it. 14 months old with 11900 miles. Couldn't drive in snow, worried her, freaked out multiple times, but loved it and drove like a banshee. Ever since I told her "drive it hard", she would, carefully. Weekly was freaking out about going to the store and not having space, going to work in snow and having to borrow the Subie, going anywhere with dogs and taking Subie, etc. Really, a workable situation, but apparently it pained her to let it sit those times. Really, the space/functionality issue got to her, even if it …

::WARNING!! NOT 56K FRIENDLY (SORRY BV):: This afternoon I took out the Buick once more to get some daytime photos...dust really...it was horribly hot and humid today...so it was the best time to not bake. As I mentioned before, the car's really temperamental on cold starts. I had it pulled into the driveway, so I started it and backed out...then it stalled on me while I was crooked and facing up on the hill...probably a funny sight for the couple cars that went by. Basically it took about 10 minutes of sitting there with my foot gently on the gas to warm her up. Once she was warmed up she was fine...probably needs a carburetor rebuild or at least a good tune. I also …

I'll be starting a total frameoff restoration/rebuild/modification of my wife's 2002 GMC Yukon in the next couple weeks. I will chronicle the job here. Will post before pics soon. The plan is, take it down to the frame, sandblast and powercoat the frame and most things attached to it. Add an air locker to the rear end, lift it about 2inches. Modify it to use a stick transfer case instead of the push button setup it has, lockouts on the front wheels. Repaint it from white to purple, rebuild trans to handle larger tires, rebuild engine to about 350hp. Interior mostly stock but recover the seats and new carpet

It was a nice day out but at the same time rather warm (85 degrees!). I discovered today that the Intrepid's A/C wasn't very cold. So I bought a couple cans of R134a (one for the Intrepid and one for the Shadow, (because I know it needs it). Took some time but after an hour or two I had both cars blowing out ice cubes. Then I cleaned out the interiors, and finished off with a rinse to the exteriors. They'll need a more formal cleaning inside and out but a rinse couldn't hurt. This is especially true for the Shadow, as the poor thing wasn't washed once all winter...making it look even worse than it is. After I finished I snapped some late afternoon photos while the cars …

A whole $3.95 (incl s&h) from eBay gets me one of those Oldsmobile badges that looks like the kind they stuck on the hood of Cutlass Cieras. I'm sick of people saying, "Its an Acura?"

Over here I mentioned some big news not related to my vacation, well here it is: I'm now the proud owner of: *drum roll* A 1968 Corvette convertible. My father won it on eBay on my behalf while I was away. It's a project car in boxes, as the owner started the restoration but didn't finish it. All the hard work is done. It just needs new paint, an engine and tranny, and to be put back together. Here's the stats: 1968 Corvette convertible hardtop and softop L68 427 - 400hp M21 4 speed manual originally silver over silver, but changed to dark red over black I plan to put the car back to the original color combo, since I want to find a correct 427 and M21 to put in i…

Name: Oldsmobile Toronado Category: Vehicles Date Added: 2021-04-02 Submitter: Drew Dowdell Oldsmobile Toronado So as I mentioned in another thread, I’m trying to keep the truck parked for a while and only drive the Toronado. As I was driving home last night I noticed how dim the sealed beams are. I have LEDs on the truck and active HIDs on the Chrysler. I think I need to find an LED retrofit for the Toronado just for safety reasons.
