Not a huge fan of the early-to-mid '60s GMC pickups but if it was the right price ($2k or <) I'd consider one. This one caught my attention recently but exceeds my range; check out the full listing here: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4582603348.html

72 gmc pick-up 4x4 clean - $9200 (Levittown) http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/2302573649.html Pretty much my ideal '72 GMC pickup... though I'd want the two-tone white in the middle of the body. Looks great for an almost 40 year old truck, too bad it's way out of my price range.

Check out the specs and many other pictures at this link: http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/active#!/1957-GMC-1-2-Ton-Pickup/133020/180319 What's this truck got under the hood? A 5.7 LS1 V8 engine, hooked to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. A fantastic paint job in an awesome color - Planet Color Tobacco Copper Metallic exterior paint. And it can be all yours, for $99,900. Thanks for the head's up FOG... that's one modified GMC I'd be proud to call my own (well, there's a few things I'd nitpick about for that price, but other than that it's a great looking rig). . BTW, I won the NJ Lottery today.... too bad it was only $2 from a scratch-off …

I've been looking at comfortable, cheap SUVs that I won't mind putting a ton of miles on due to a job duties change that is starting in 2015. I'll be driving back and forth between Pittsburgh and NJ twice a month... So I was looking at Rainiers and 9-7x since they can be had for cheap and some of them come with rear air suspension. (I've also been looking at MB GL350 CDIs with airmatic too.... because I'm a masochist apparently) In the process I found this: 2004 Buick Rainier GNX Prototype They claim it is a one-off that was sold at Barrett Jackson when GM went into Bankruptcy. It has a supercharged V8 (5.3??), Borla exhaust, and AWD. I can't seem to…

Linkypoo Attention car collectors or anyone who wants to ride in style. This car is priced to sell quickly at 3,000. NADA retail ranges from low of $3,038 to a high of $10,699 with an average retail of $7,830. The odometer only shows, 53k miles. Title indicates these are actual miles. Lack of wear and tear on the vehicles seems to support this. Cold AC and interior is clean. Tires are good, original hub caps are in excellent condition. Motor and transmission work fine. Flexible inserts around bumpers are in excellent condition. Body is excellent with no rust. There is some slight oxidation on the hood and roof. The vinyl top does need repair.

http://southjersey.craigslist.org/ctd/2260421276.html One of my top favorite Trans Ams. I was 15 years old when Pontiac introduced the MCE-for-'91 Firebird line in spring of '90. I would ride my bike to Cathcart Pontiac (about a 4-5 mile ride from my house) in Trenton (Ewing) often to see the latest Pontiacs, and wait for one of these new T/A GTAs to show up. I got lucky one day when a transporter full of new Firebirds and Camaros was in the lot and I got to watch a green and tan T/A GTA just like the one above get off-loaded. The salesman standing next to me went in to his desk and came out with a '91 Firebird brochure with a like-GTA on the inside spread (I still…

Got this in my wanderings. Aside from the minor dog-ear in the lower right corner, it's a mint book. 96 pages, see the pic for the table of contents to see what the book covers. Asking $5.00 plus 2.00 shipping. Will let this ride here first for 2 weeks or so, then off to eBay. Side note: anyone remember the GMC Desert Fox ?? :

Yes, the holidays are upon us and people have spared no expense and put themselves in grave risk of bodily harm just to decorate their homes for the holidays but, sadly, the same cannot be said for their cars and trucks. In honor of the neglected and forgotten rides sitting in driveways and garages from Brooklyn to the Bay Area we thought we would post a quick reminder that Rvinyl offers not only smoked head and taillight film in standard charcoals but we also offer a number of festive films such as green, red, blue, pink, orange and yellow. http://blog.rvinyl.com/2013/12/24/colored-head-and-taillight-tint-for-the-holidays/

First, swap out the bumpers for something more elegant and overhaul the interior. Next, replace the 351 with something more period appropriate like a straight 8. Finally, lose the hood ornament, black hood scoop and whatever that triangle shaped thing the back license plate is on to clean up the front and rear ends. I don't know, what do you guys think?

We've just launched a line of Brembo style, plastic caliper covers on our site. We have carried MGP covers for years but wanted to give our customers a lower price point and a different look. As a result we have begun to carry ABS Caliper Covers which you can find here: http://www.rvinyl.com/store/c/371029-1997.html We've come up with a detailed install video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drh_DbLw6VU&feature=youtu.be and you can see step-by-step instructions here: http://rvinyl.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Install-ABS-Plastic-Caliper-Covers

How do you make so little horsepower with so many cubic inches? I'm sure the there are breathing issues with the flathead arrangement and metallurgy issues with iron that old, but that can't account for all of it.

I've really been into the '73-'79 GMC Sierra pickups the last two years, even to the point I'm window shopping more of them than the '55-'57 GMCs I so desire. Here's an interesting color combo I haven't seen in my spottings: Here's the link with 11 more pictures (no interior shots though). Wish I had $10k available and the means to get this back to the east coast LINK: http://www.autoshopper.com/used-trucks/1979_GMC_Sierra_Classic_Bellevue_WA-21548430.htm

Link: http://cnj.craigslis...3106614244.html Seeing as how I really want a '55-'57 GMC, yesterday I jumped on the email and contacted the owner. I received a reply today, and unfortunately for me it is a 1955 1st series pickup (carryover 1954 model). I will admit that of the 1947-1955 style, the '54/'55 models are the only ones I like (non-split windshield and extra chrome surround around the stock grille). Here are the eight pictures the seller sent me: So, what do I envision this truck to look like if I were to buy it and put it all together again? This: However, I'm not sure I want to go for this truck (though the price is sure attra…

What does everyone think of do-it-yourself paint protection? Is it a job you would consider doing yourself or do you think it is something best left to the professionals? In terms of PPF, would you consider using thinner films like Rshield (at 4mil) which offer the UV protection and prevent light damage from scuffing but won't prevent rock chip damage at high speeds or would you bite the bullet and go for 3M or similar? http://auto-trim.org/2014/01/16/paint-protection-kits-ppf-for-the-rest-of-us/

Does anyone here have experience with installing and using racing seats? We have been revamping our catalog and I have no real experience with them. Currently we have harnesses and seats in the same category (because it seems to make sense) and although I know harnesses should only be used in race cars for safetly purposes I don't think the same is true for seats. If you guys wouldn't mind taking a look at these product pages and let me know what you think I would appreciiate it: http://www.rvinyl.com/Chevrolet-Racing-Seats-Harnesses.html Is it clear that race harnesses ARE NOT for daily commuter use? As much as we want to sell product we don't want anyone to ge…
