Eh, I think there's some good stuff from The Black Album (namely Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, and The God That Failed), but I'd agree that St. Anger was a disappointment.

To me, The Black Album was the beginning of the end for Metallica in a lot of ways; a new "mainstream" sound compared to their last records, Bob Rock was now their producer, and Ulrich's drumming was losing passion in my opinion. No offense, but I find "Enter Sandman" a horrible song; it uses the same main riff over and over to the point of repetitive mediocrity, like Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness."

I gotta little iPod Shuffle for Christmas. it hasn;t left my ears since. It's already full, so I have to boot out old songs to put new ones in. such a hard choice. I have a lot of AC/DC, AIC, Ramones, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, G&R, Disturbed and Face to Face just to throw off a few (I think those are what i have the most of)

Currently though it's "Saw Red" by Sublime.
