General Motors Corp.'s all-time top sellers
Interesting..never knew the Camaro was a top 10...must have been the sales in the 70s and 80s.

Big problem at GM: Too little bang from too many cars
Well, gas prices and recession happened. Never? I suspect Pontiac will re-focus and concentrate on FWD rental cars, which has been their niche in recent years.

Chevy Cobalt production boosted by overtime in Lordstown, Ohio
I would think so...unless they are following the Toyota philosophy of no. fun. ever. All serious FWD generics. All the time.

NO headlights, NO windshield, NO seatbelts
Cool.... I have my Dad's 1968 vintage Snapper Comet rear-engined riding mower stored in my Mom's barn..I will always keep it, has a lot of sentimental attachment for me, not to mention it's the mower I learned to mow on.

Third party platform you can support?
No different than a drunk driver, yet we see no one shouting for banning alcohol sales and possession... personally, I'm for the legalization/decriminalization of MJ purchase/possession...not sure about how I feel about any legalization of hard drugs.

Outsourcing. It has hurt my industry (software engineering) and many others. Though illegal immigration, healthcare, and the national debt are important to me as well.

Third party platform you can support?
I could support many of those platform issues...my concern about elimination of income tax, though--where to replace the shortfall from? The government would need $$$ to invest in infrastructure, etc..

Sarah Palin.........?
+1. Yes, Whitman would have been a credible, rational choice. Palin represents the lunatic fringe.

PLAYBOY
Never heard of those...wasn't there also a car called the Jordan Playboy in the 20s or something?

Classic American Cars
Mmmm...lots of goodies. I'll take the '71 Rivi and the '69 Marquis. My folks had a Marquis similar to that ('71), but I was too little to remember it. My folks had a '58 Monterey back in '58, but no continental kit (which I think look stoopid) AFAIK.

'84 LeSabre on ebay--24k miles!
Collectible Automobile magazine had an article on them a few years ago...it does sound like they used parts from GM and others over the years quite a bit. The basic body and structure dates to about 1956, I think.

The Latest Fall Fashions
I saw the stealth Century again yesterday...(there is '97-05 Buick Century nearby that is painted entirely flat black--all the chrome, the wheels, everything).

Air cooled, 3-speed on the floor (no synchro)
It's the engine that threw me..I'm used to riding mowers having Briggs and Stratton or Techumsehs...but my folks only bought Snappers, so that's what I knew at one time. Figuring '68, it's probably 40-50 years old at least. I did discover that the Poulan (part of Husquavarna) and Craftsman have used Kohler engines, but that is in more recent years.

I'm close to a decision

The Electoral Map: Key States (Political)
+1. Sadly, I know 2 Ohio residents that are going to vote Republican--my Mom and brother (I don't talk politics with them at all--makes me too angry).

tragic LA train wreck
Yes..frustrating...every time I've been across the pond and ridden the rails in Europe it makes me angry how limited our rail infrastructure is. Arggh

Something that really pisses me off.
My sister turned in some that were down the street from her a couple of years ago...a neighbor had rented out a house to a bunch of filthy Mexicans who made a mess of the place..working on broken down Chebbies in the driveway, loud Mexican music at 2am, let the yard go to pot, etc. Their presence hurt the neighborhood--it's a nice Phoenix neighborhood of clean older $200-300k houses with palm trees and green yards, not the shabby barrio dumps found in other parts of town where the illegals run rampant. Eventually they got evicted (through the efforts of many people), and the house was sold and remodeled..I talked to the guy that remodeled it, he had to strip the interior to the studs--ripped out the sheetrock, everything because the cretins had made such a mess...

tragic LA train wreck
Yes...I'm sickened when I think about the billions we have wasted on that pathetic sh*thole when we could have been investing the money in the US...

My tater is limp!
I first saw that movie when I was 7 or so...loved it..have seen it probably 20 times over the years.. Driving on two lane roads in CO, when I had a tanker behind me I always got nervous...esp. driving on a twisty switchback w/ no guardrails and 500-1000 ft drop offs like Loveland Pass, about 12k feet at the peak.. I kind of liked the movie 'Joy Ride' a few years ago, it definitely had a few elements reminiscent of Duel.
