please get rid of that 'Direct Injection" badge.

reminds me of the Multi-Port Injection crap from the front fender of the Z24

and while u are at it, get rid of the 3.6 badge as well

I don't usually get this picky, but you're right. It looks junky. The only badging this should have is the Caddy logo, the CTS letters and the V-Series should get the V badge. If in the future they have a hybrid model, maybe that gets a hybrid badge, but that's it. It should good enough that it's a Caddy...and it should go without saying that it has great features.

Sorry, I don't mean it looks junky overall; I actually love this thing. I just agree that it would look that much better without all the extra badging. The clean, simple design is in...for example, look at the way Apple packages things...very clean.

You, my friend, are insane! I love both of these options!

Yes indeed, thats me :P

Seriously I just think the nav screen while a good idea, makes me think it looks sort of flimsy, like a bump or something might make it fall down. Plus eventually if it gets a lot of use, whatever controls it to pop up may fail, thats just another thing that can go wrong with a car with so many electronic goodies. The wheels are just plain ugly IMO.

I like this car alot, but was hoping for a better rearview.

The 3/4 view is still slightly ungainly.

With the new led bulbs you would think

they could do something real minimal with the tailights,

just a sliver of vertical red.

Think the early Eldos....that very elegant vertical tailight.

Still the sexiest element on Cadillacs when done right.

I agree about the tail lights. I hate the double rows of LEDs in each light on the STS; it messes with my eyes. They should light up the entire area of the lens. The only LED taillights I've liked were on the last generation DeVille, and I hate that car.

Other than that, this is my favorite A&S Caddy to date.

Man, I thought I was the only one that was bothered by the STSs led rear lights when they light up.

So many tail lights when lit, look all wonky. The current CTS is a case in point...a total mess.

I often wonder why designers and car makers don't do rear tail lights with the end result in mind.

I'm really liking the latest BMWs rear lenses...they gave it some consideration. I notice they

are on during the daytime using LED lighting rods...very subtle, cool look.

Man, that all black interior is freakin AWESOME!!!

My favourite.

EDIT - Saw pics of Euro-spec '08 CTS in another website, and I have to say Cadillac f#cked up again: white tail lights, as if the Euro-spec STS and the Escalade weren't crappy looking enough! :puke:

What a profound observation. . . I definitely agree! These new LED's show the two rows of "dots" illuminating, whereas the '00 to '05 Devilles featured a totally illuminated lens (even though I agree that the rest of the styling on those Devilles left alot to be desired). Even the first generation CTS's, with the circular illuminating portion, did not really follow-through on the vertical taillamp theme--but I'm holding onto hope that in-person these new CTS lights look better than the photos--the thin, vertical tallamp is such a classy trademark of Cadillac!

Sadly, that is the Stupid Euro Union rules that is killing the looks of some awesome auto's. All this pedestrian friendly auto designs and safety crap like a single read fog light. Having that one brighter read tailight sucks big time. Socialism BS that is screwing up good looking cars. :D

I think it's a case of GM-old-school-stupidity, actually. I guess some things will never change, not even with 1000 Lutzes working at GM... :AH-HA_wink: Edited by ZL-1
