Maybe he did buy that Jaguar....

...... and burned to death inside of it on the side of the highway after the car had an electrical fire; lets hope not! Buying a British automobile AND dying in a car fire is too much horror for one young man and his family to have to go through. He probably bought one of those super platinum memberships to a porn site that includes access to 20 other sites for one low price and forgot we existed. He'll be back when his mom's hand lotion runs out, don't worry.

Y'know, Fly, it's not as fun making fun of you when you're not here to defend yourself; stop by and at least say hi once in a while :lol:

And, yeah, Josh was retarded. He claimed to have sources everywhere, but I don't think he was accurate very often at all...

We get it. You have a sarcastic sense of humor and you don't like Josh. Still, don't you think it's ironic to come on C&G to post about how there is more to life than posting on C&G. If you have any information about Fly's whereabouts, please do tell. Otherwise, take your own advice.

He's not coming on here and posting that the site's worthless, but rather pointing out how ridiculous it is for people to mount a phone campaign to harass Flybrian and determine his exact whereabouts. Is the guy not allowed to take a vacation? Is he obligated to tell everyone here every time he won't be posting for a few weeks? Maybe his computer imploded--is he mandated to go to the nearest internet cafe to inform us of the situation ASAP?

Gimme a break...people come and go from time to time, life happens, sometimes things happen that make a person feel the need to take a little personal time. But trying to track down his phone number and stalk his house is just ridiculous and frankly invasive.

You do release most if not all of the phone harassment jokes/threats were just that right? Jokes.

Most people want to know what's up with Fly because we care. Usually when members aren't going to post for a while they give everyone a heads up anyway.

Well Josh was banned and PCS left because that's what his position in GM required.

Fly... I don't know. I'm worried about him. If you're the head Admin of a site, you don't just leave without notice. This is kind of like if Lutz or Wagoner left for a month and nobody had any idea where he went, why, or what he's doing. On a smaller scale, of course, but it's the same thing.

ya, kinda reminds me of another guy that used to post all the time on C&G. he got into some good banter with josh and others. then all of a sudden he disapperared. i've noticed lately that he's back with some periodic posts - but no where near the volume of previously. :AH-HA_wink:

I couldn't care less about Josh. Was just a little reminiscing about the good ole days. :thumbsup:

As for Fly, don't know where he is, don't care where he is, but I wish him well. He was certainly much of the glue that has kept this place going over the years.

And for anyone who is a friend of Fly's, I suspect that they would know how to get a hold of him. And for those that are truly concerned, you should likely try something other than an open chat on a public forum with a thread that started as a mild bemusing of why he's not posting these days.

as far as joshiepoo. he is declaring on gms that the 2012 corvette will be mid engine. 'we can exclusively confirm' and no other supporting data to back it up. nice one.

googleing flybrian or brian dreggors shows lots of links but any forum boards are consistent with his disappearance from here too.

maybe he's working 2 jobs or has a hot n heavy going on. or he got fed up with the internet in general.

Just to calm your nerves down, the last time I called him in December, he was leaving work, and he was super busy. He is basically running a mom and pop owned used car shop and has transformed it.

We talked about his ride home (Caddy Deville 1994) which was showing him 9.7mpg on the counter. He had fifteen miles to go home with his gas light on. We laughed about how a Mexican lady wrecked her Escort, and became a convertible. He is also trying to finish the school. I understand some people think it sounds strange that he left without a signal.

Unless something happened in the mod website which we do not know about, (and which I highly doubt give his nature) I am going to stick with the work and school theory.

Thing is, life happens. When you get a job and/or classes that are demanding you just don't have time to post; you're mind is just elsewhere. As a result, you don't think about it much if at all--hence no "Oops, I haven't posted at C&G for a while, I need to log on for five minutes and let them know I didn't fall into the toilet or anything." Posts like that just aren't that high of a priority.

I guarantee you when I took some time off it wasn't like I was going through each day trying my hardest to enforce the self-imposed break on myself; I just got busy and didn't have the time.

Plus, there's a little bit to be said for post quality instead of quantity--maybe Fly is preoccupied with life at the moment that he's out of the loop and just doesn't have anything insightful to say. Maybe when he has something insightful to say he will post.

And to the guy who googled his name and got nothing: guess what? That means he's OK because if anything bad happened there'd be an obituary hit on his name. So you guys now know he's OK, just not posting, and can carry on.

Hey now you guys don't get all hot and heavy when I don't post for a month or two :P. Anyway, I find it odd that he wouldn't leave some kind of a post saying he won't be around considering how involved in the site he was. You could kind of tell that this was coming though...he wasn't around too much up until the point he left and the amount of updating on the site shows that.

I hope he is fine and I would bet that he is. Life takes over sometimes. He'll be back someday.

The difference between you and him though are that he's one of the admins who run the site, you'd think he'd at least inform the other staff members. As well, I've got plenty of work with full time classes and a job but I still find the time. :P
