"I said MARCH, young man!"

Recommended Posts

It's March, wow, we made it through another winter. For once, I am happy to have March come in like a lion (if it's the lion on the grille of the Holden Coupe 60, that is.) Anyway, post your stuff if you got it!

Driving down a side street I'd never driven down before, a 65 or 66 Red GTO hardtop poking out from a garage.

A brown 69 Camaro SS big block moved in about a mile or two down the road from me.

And I saw a Lambo Miura on the road in rural Ohio, what it was doing there I don't know.

Also saw a big block 71 Corvette ragtop at a gas station.

RK Sport makes a tasteful, traditional Pontiac Ram Air hood for the G5. I wonder what a G5 GT, in white, with that hood, tinted windows, Eibach springs and a set of snazzy 17" aftermarket rims would look like... :scratchchin:

Not so much a car, but I saw an abandoned gas station in St. Mary's County that still had its prices posted: $1.67 for 87. If only...

Also, a black Super Beetle.

A urine yellow Ford Pinto was in the Richmond McDonald's parking lot today. The only thing that could have made my laughter increase was if it was painted in traditional Pinto Baby $h! Green. I also had the (dis)comfort of hearing it's engine start up. Yep, it sounded basically like a mix tape of a roomful of chimps $h!ting and a balding middle aged man mowing his lawn with a Goodwill special lawnmower.

I also saw a '91 Ford Escort wagon that had it's recent paintjob done with a few cans of Period Red Krylon. Which ultimately means it had more runs in it's paint than a Vegas hooker's stalkings.

White looks great on the Cobalt SS and G5.

Early 70's Cutlass convertible this morning - with the top down!

A Zo6 that ran up this highway side by side with me in the Silverado - sounded like heaven. Two black Chevy beasts making a charge - very cool, made me smile.

An older all black Mustang 5.0 LX with Pony wheels and a healthy cam - sounded great and had just come out of winter hibernation.

I about drove into a snow bank when this puppy came into view: 1974 Maverick - green over green. Rust was prominent. Probably going to be the old girls last year on earth. It had been a long time since I spied one. Ford had a slogan about a better idea - was this and the Pinto that Idea?

A convoy of uncamo'd 5-door BMW 1-Series (actually was my friend's sighting....but he called to tell me.) Wonder if they are bringing the 5-door over finally? He said they had manufacturer's plates on them and were followed by some MINIs.....

Hyundai Genesis V6 at "Cars and Coffee" in Irvine last weekend. It got lots of attention......

Saw a very unusual car in my office parking lot today... a black mid '80s Buick hearse...it was a stretched (in the rear doors) LeSabre wagon with a padded raised roof...no casket in back, but had chrome flames at the bottom of the grill.. very strange. Unusual ride to set at what seems like a very button-downed, straight laced company (aerospace software company).

see four mexican dudes riding down the road in a saturn sc coupe forest green with a red front clip and a red hood, and of all things, buick port holes on the fenders... i wish my camera phone could have gotten it.

I can go you one better (or worse)...

I've seen the port holes on a Corolla... <_<

I have confirmed that a high school student here drives a lotis elise to school.

I wonder how much his insurance is?

Zero dollars and zero cents. If he's in high school and driving a goddamn Lotus, then daddy bought it and daddy pays the insurance. Daddy will also pay to fix it each and every time he cracks it up, which will be often. Might be fun to count the dents and dings and scratches on it as time goes on.
