Kia revealed a few renderings of the next-generation Cadenza, which is expected to go on sale sometime next year. The renderings reveal Kia making their full-size sedan a bit more aggressive with an angular front grille, a sculpted front bumper, rakish windshield, and a sloping roofline. The interior looks similar to the current model. But there are some changes that include a new steering wheel and a larger touchscreen. No information was provided on what would power the sedan. Source: Kia Press Release is on Page 2 Kia Motors previews next-generation Cadenza The all-new Kia Cadenza will set new benchmarks for cutting-edge design, inter…

William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com October 24, 2013 Kia made a big splash with the GT Concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. With its distinctive coupe styling and a turbocharged 3.3L V6, the GT Concept got a lot of love. Now a new report from Auto Express says that the GT may have been given the greenlight. “We have plans to build a GT – we spoke about it at our global marketing conference in Singapore. We’ll be mainly targeting the end of 2016 or early 2017,” said Soon-Nam Lee, Kia’s vice-president of overseas marketing. Now Auto Express reports that the GT will carry the four-door coupe shape as seen on the concept, but will likely use front-wheel …

Remember the Hyundai Azera? Yeah, me neither. The Azera was introduced in 2008 to compete with the likes of the Toyota Avalon, Ford Taurus, and Nissan Maxima. However, the car has fallen into the darkness with Hyundai introducing more stylish vehicles. Well, today at the LA Auto Show Hyundai shined some light on the new Azera. Design of the new Azera has many cues of Hyundai's "fluidic sculpture" design language, putting it more with the Sonata and Elantra. Up front, new headlamps and a prominent chrome grille incorporates a central indentation that extends onto the hood. Around back, a new trunklid and taillights that wraparound and extend onto the lid. The most promine…

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/conte...75048450463.htm Well, I wouldn't want to give my all to pad the pockets of unappreciative management sucking the $$$$ out of our economy with no gratitude. why loathe our own, and try to make it work for the interest of other countries. not understanding this. especially if the boss was a byunghole. get it? LOL. right Ian BEAVIS? byungholio! i would totally say f-u to some of what i was reading in the article. a real eye opener, that kia doesn't get it. they compete based on low cost to produce. so they need to get that.

Bigger is better for Santa FE hristmas has come early at Auto Express - our spy photographers have caught Santa on film. This amazing picture reveals Hyundai's all-new SUV totally undisguised and ready for the road, months ahead of its official launch. Left exposed in broad daylight, the new Santa Fe's sleek lines are a radical departure from the bulbous look of the existing version, and help take the model upmarket. Set to go on sale in the UK next autumn, the 4x4 will be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. And the VGT - Variable Geometry Turbo - badge on the side of this car reveals it's the 2.2-litre oil-burner, which is likely to be the top …

Looks like the new Rav4 and Santa Fe will be huge sellers once again. I was totally impressed with the RAV4 at SEMA. It puts the Equinox/torrent/vue batch to shame. Here are live shots of the new Santa Fe. Just unveiled in Korea. http://web.mph-online.com/web/news/00190 I'm not as big a fan of Hyundai products but their designs don't offend.

If anyone thinks this isnt a very well designed interior, you need to get your eyes checked. Lets just hope they follow through with the exterior. Spy photographers caught the Hyundai Genesis testing in the Midwestern U.S. earlier today and from these latest photos, we can see changes to the interior that include an iDrive-esque control knob located behind the transmission lever. Hyundai designers nixed the original Genesis designs, so these are the first photos we've seen of the redesign. Hyundai previewed the Genesis at the New York International Auto Show. The interior shots reveal a host of changes and we've included photos of the original design, taken in 2005, t…

Is the "Power to Surprise" slogan for Hyunda/Kia the best choice for an Asian based car manufacturer. Almost as bad as when GM ran the Superbowl commercial with the laid off robot, but I know, I know, its not nice to call attention to these matters. Pearl Harbor was considerably well befre my time, but that was the first thing I thought of..Not that I harbor or condone racism/prejudice just curious for some thoughts. I think they caould have done better. **If this should be moved to a more appropriate location please do so.

Troubled Seoul: Probe Could Crimp Hyundai and Kia Expansion Plans Date posted: 04-25-2006 SEOUL — An investigation into an alleged slush fund in Korea could curtail ambitious expansion plans by the country's top automaker, Hyundai Motor, and its Kia subsidiary. Government prosecutors were scheduled on Monday to interview Hyundai Chairman Chung Mong-Koo in connection with the investigation. Prosecutors last week interviewed Chung's son, Chung Eui-sun, president of Kia Motors. As part of Chung Mong-Koo's vision for Hyundai to become one of the world's top five automakers by 2010, the company is in the midst of an aggressive global expansion, with major new plant constr…

I know this is just an artist's rendering, but every other mainstream midsize sedan maker needs to watch their back if the next gen Hyundai Sonata turns out to look anything similar to these renderings. A Hyundai midsize sedan that looks like this would surely steal sales away from the Camry/Accord/Altima segment mainstays. I would possibly consider buying one if it turns out to look like this (and I am definitely not a big Hyundai fan). Visit My Website Source: GlobalMotors.net P.S. The accompanying article is from December. For some reason, I didn't see these renderings until today. If these renderings are old news, then I apologize.

Revealed: 2007 Hyundai Tiburon Our good buddy Dave Thomas over at Kicking Tires alerted us to the appearance of an official photo of the 2007 Tiburon that magically appeared today on Hyundai's media site. The pic appeared stag without any accompanying information, but we already know there will likely be no mechanical changes to the coupe, which means it will again be offered with either the 2.0-liter four-cylinder or 2.7-liter V6. However, Dave informs us that the 2007 Tib will receive a few new features like a standard tire-pressure monitoring system and available stability control. test "The Sonata continued to post unimpressive fuel economy. Though it's pretty rare for an Edmunds vehicle to get better-than-expected fuel economy, we had thought that the long-distance drives would bring up the car's overall average. The Sonata did post a new high of 23.5 mpg, but this is still quite a bit lower than what our long-term 2004 Chevrolet Malibu was capable of — a high of 30.8 mpg." average was about 21.8 or something, which is good, but i thought it was interesting they compared it to the Mally. To me, a mid size with a gutsy v6, getting 20-22 is about right.

Spied: 2008 Hyundai Mesa Meet the next vehicle dedicated to Hyundai's love of the American Southwest: the Mesa. It is Hyundai's newest and largest SUV, larger than the mid-size Santa Fe but not quite as large as full-size competitors. A great bit of detail can be seen in these photos inside and out. The interior looks to be a fusion of the Infiniti FX and Lexus RX. Read "When Santa Fe just isn't big enough" @ Edmunds

SPIED: 2011 Hyundai Elantra Our very own member, CanadianBacon94, managed to snap these photos of the Hyundai's next Elantra undergoing cold weather testing in International Falls, MN. The details are still covered up, but we can tell that the overall shape of the new Elantra is much more rakish than today's Elantra. No doubt Hyundai is aiming to push the Elantra upmarket as is the trend for the class. Expect Hyundai to aim it squarely at the class leaders when it debuts as a 2011 model.

Spy Pic: 2007 Hyundai Elantra Spotted in Camo Date posted: 03-01-2006 LOS ANGELES — Spotted in the desert in the American Southwest is the latest prototype of the next-generation Hyundai Elantra, the latest in a continuing series of new and redesigned vehicles from the Korean powerhouse. The Elantra slots into the lineup above the entry-level Accent and below the midsize Sonata. Current prices start at just over $14,000. The Elantra is sold in the home market in Korea as the Avante. TCC Takes on the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe At some point in time the fundamental ordinariness of Hyundai products will become unremarkable. That point is coming, but it isn't here yet. Because the most the most fascinating thing about the new second-generation Hyundai Santa Fe sorta-SUV is what a competent and thoroughly conventional machine it is. There are no glaring flaws in its design, it seems well made, and operates dang near imperceptibly. It's just one more well-conceived Hyundai. Read TCC's Review of the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

TCC Test: 2007 Hyundai Accent We can recall the days when cheap cars felt all of their description. This opinion is now obsolete thanks to the thoroughly modern and competitive offerings like the Accent SE, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, and others. Hyundai takes it a step further: to quell concerns about quality and reliability, it backs the Accent with a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty plus a ten-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Hyundai wants you to compare their Accent to the Yaris, Scion xA, Fit, and Chevrolet Aveo. After researching competitors, add the Chevrolet Cobalt and Ford Focus to that list. All of these cars offer solid transportation valu…
