  5. I've been looking at comfortable, cheap SUVs that I won't mind putting a ton of miles on due to a job duties change that is starting in 2015. I'll be driving back and forth between Pittsburgh and NJ twice a month... So I was looking at Rainiers and 9-7x since they can be had for cheap and some of them come with rear air suspension. (I've also been looking at MB GL350 CDIs with airmatic too.... because I'm a masochist apparently) In the process I found this: 2004 Buick Rainier GNX Prototype They claim it is a one-off that was sold at Barrett Jackson when GM went into Bankruptcy. It has a supercharged V8 (5.3??), Borla exhaust, and AWD. I can't seem to…

It's not my ideal, but it would end up being a screaming deal for me. It stickers at $41,7xx With GM Supplier Discount that I'm eligible for, it would be $38580 It is still technically "new" but it has 3,000 demo miles on the clock, so they would knock another $1,000 off of that. There is currently $4,500 in rebates also plus I could get 60 months at 0% interest. So I'm looking at $33k for a truck with a ticker of $41,7xx It's a V6 4x4 with the big screen MyLink, cloth interior, G80

  9. http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/4578545956.html - 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Ram Air Coupe I was searching G-body Pontiac Grand Prix's ('81-'87) and stumbled upon this awesome low-mileage 2000 T/A Ram Air WS6 Coupe. The wife and kids love this car, and I can't say I blame them. I had a a '95 T/A Coupe (used) in 1998 & 1999 - I absolutely love the '93-'02 generation ('96 & '97 WS6 Coupes are my true love). The '95 I got rid of for a more family sensible ride ('99 Grand Am GT1 Sedan) and the wife has not to this day let me forget how much she loved my '95 T/A. Showing her this 2000 got her all worked up and my son jumped on the bandwagon. Neither want me to pass …

This really isn't a post about selling as much as a review but I figured this would be the best place to put it. I know I have discussed a few of these products in other threads (such as the rim wraps and Duplicolor paint kits) but I wanted to do a more comprehensive post on the available options out there since they do seem to be multiplying at an astounding rate. If you're interested check out my post entitled What's a wheel accessory and why do I care? Feedback of any kind is always appreciated and, if you read all the way to the end, there's a chance to get a prize (sort of a prize anyway). Thanks again and enjoy the warming weather!

What does everyone think of do-it-yourself paint protection? Is it a job you would consider doing yourself or do you think it is something best left to the professionals? In terms of PPF, would you consider using thinner films like Rshield (at 4mil) which offer the UV protection and prevent light damage from scuffing but won't prevent rock chip damage at high speeds or would you bite the bullet and go for 3M or similar? http://auto-trim.org/2014/01/16/paint-protection-kits-ppf-for-the-rest-of-us/

It should be no surprise that I look weekly for GMC pickups from two different generations: 1955-1959 and 1973-1987 ('89-'91 V3500). Yes, the holidays are upon us and people have spared no expense and put themselves in grave risk of bodily harm just to decorate their homes for the holidays but, sadly, the same cannot be said for their cars and trucks. In honor of the neglected and forgotten rides sitting in driveways and garages from Brooklyn to the Bay Area we thought we would post a quick reminder that Rvinyl offers not only smoked head and taillight film in standard charcoals but we also offer a number of festive films such as green, red, blue, pink, orange and yellow. http://blog.rvinyl.com/2013/12/24/colored-head-and-taillight-tint-for-the-holidays/

  25. Hey everyone I hope your Tuesday's going well. We just got a bunch of rebate submission photos of a precut headlight kit installed on a 2002 Mini so, naturally, I did a blog post and threw them up on YouTube. If you take a look you'll see our customer (who now has tinted headlights and received a $20 rebate refund on his purchase) hand-trimmed the headlight tints because they are normally designed to cover the entire light. Not my cup of tea but he did a nice job. So, check it out and let us know what you think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy5OkU9L4jM&feature=youtu.be http://rvinyl.blogspot.com/2013/12/customer-installation-photos-of-mini.html

Anyone need an NOS fuel pump/filter for a '47 Willys? Maybe someone here recognizes these 2 caps : This one reminded me of the '79 Eldorado caps (the section with the holes is cast metal, so it's rather heavy for a hubcap), but it's not that. First, swap out the bumpers for something more elegant and overhaul the interior. Next, replace the 351 with something more period appropriate like a straight 8. Finally, lose the hood ornament, black hood scoop and whatever that triangle shaped thing the back license plate is on to clean up the front and rear ends. I don't know, what do you guys think?

No 3rd row seat; vinyl 6-passenger seating (bench seats 1st & 2nd rows); front A/C only; AM/FM Stereo; manual windows and locks; no crusie control. Surprisingly, it has the upgraded 2WD aluminum wheels, rear hatch/tailgate (barn doors standard), and bright bodyside molding (options on the SL trim). Very low mileage for it's age - 69,xxx miles. But $6,995???? These used vehicle prices are out of control!?!? …

  91. So the wife and I were talking the other day about larger, family-oriented vehicles, and she asked why I never looked for a Yukon when I was shopping in March '10 (when I bought the '06 Envoy). A quick check of my GMC dealer's site finds me this: a 2008 GMC Yukon SLT 4WD nicely loaded but with 90k miles selling for $24k: http://www.burnsbuickgmc.com/VehicleDetails/used-2008-GMC-Yukon-4WD_4dr_1500_SLT_w%2F4SA-Marlton-NJ/1859871383 Would that many miles scare anyone away from purchasing this SUV? I'd have to go and see the truck in person to make sure the rest of the condition was good, but with that kind of mileage should I look elsewhere?

  92. Started by Blake Noble,

"It's nice to see ya. It's been a long time ..." If you clicked the link, you'll see that it is a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro, in black, with LT-1 style taillights and I think it appears as if the Camaro plaque on the center stack has been moved in between the fog light switch and TCS delete panel. Call it a hunch, but I believe that is, in fact, my old Camaro. I think I'll call the lot up and ask if it's a five-speed car just to see if my suspicions are correct. Don't worry. I'm not buying it back. That car was worse than the fucking plague.

  93. Link: craigslist Very, very tempting - that's one of my top two-tone color combinations, and the fact it has the blue cloth interior tops it off. The mileage though... 191k. Any info about the durability of this year's engine and trans?

http://reading.craig...3293420447.html I've been watching this very interesting 1979 GMC Sierra. A little gawdy in the color (green), the hood, cap, rims, and front fender extensions all reek of '70s street performance. However, the biggest issue I have with this truck is the "Sierra Grande" trim. I don't believe this truck is a true representation of that trim, as it appears to have more equipment per that trim/package. I'm wondering if it's a true Sierra Grande with additional items put on during its last restoration, or if it is wearing the wrong emblems? I will try to contact the seller for a picture of the RPO Service Label to verify.

Maybe. I have been quietly continuing the search for a plow truck to replace the ROPOS, and I went to see and drive this truck today: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3265427508.html Not at all what I really want , but it is the only truck I've looked at that doesn't have serious rust issues. It won't tow and haul the way I'd like, and pushing a heavy snow might be a challenge, but time is short and I haven't found much else. The only real concern I have with this truck is the mismatch of the body lines between cab and bed. It can be seen in the pics, and measures about an inch. What I don't know is why. I don't know if it is just trashed cab mounts (they seem …
