..for the rest of the GMT900s? I am specifically looking for info on the Denali and XL Denali. From what I hear the schedules may have been bumped up a little, so I am anxious to find out. The people on this board seem to know more than the dealers. thanks!

The NAV radio with Rear Ent is still holding up orders, so I was able to get one with the Voice Rec. NAV and NO rear ent. system. I'll have to add the read DVD later. This machine is awesome. I love the 6.2L engine and the 6 speed tranny. Only have 130 miles on it so far. Seems much more responsive than the old 5.3 in my (traded in) Avalanche. The computer claims I am getting 14.2 MPG so far. I can't complain about that.

While the title states "Chevrolet Silverado", what you see mostly in the video is the next GMC Sierra: Based on those two photos I've posted above, I'm not getting a 2011 GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept vibe in that front end: Nor am I getting a 2013 GMC Acadia vibe in that front end: And I would say that from the two pictures I posted above that there's going to be a large chrome piece mounted at the top of the grille, a'la GMC Terrain, based on the mounting holes visible:

Spied! 2011 GMC Sierra 3500 Heavy Duty Last month, our spies caught a lightly disguised 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 Heavy Duty pickup out and about, showing off its new three-bar perforated grille that shares styling with the 2010 GMC Terrain midsize crossover. Now, we’ve just received this picture of a completely uncamouflaged 2011 GMC Sierra 3500 dually, which sports a brand new hood that features reverse-power-dome styling with prominent center mounted louvers. It says “Duramax 6.6-liter” on the louver sides, along with the logo for the Duramax’s six-speed Allison transmission. Full Story Here

GMC had a bit of a surprise for the Dubai International Motor Show with the Desert Fox Middle East truck concept. Desert Fox was a special package available on the 1977 GMC C/K 1500 pickup that featured a tan (Buckskin) exterior color with color stripes running along the sides and hood. The package also featured a brush guard, bed mounted sports bar, additional lights, and tan colored wheels. This package was also available for the Jimmy SUV. This Sierra 1500-based concept brings this package into the modern era with the same paint color and stripe layout. It also comes outfitted with some off-road goodies such as an off-road bumper with a winch, beadlock wheels…

Went to the TEXAS state fair today...and saw all the new trucks (except for the HDs). The leather compares to the leather in my wife's old BMW. It was truly incredible to see that kind of material quality in a pickup. Everything else looked good about those trucks, but the leather was amazing....

GMC is primarily a truck brand. However, why not make it live up to the name General Motors Commercial. 1)GMC should not be availible for non-commercial costumers. GMCs would be sold wholesale to its commercial costumers.Saturn would take on selling non-commercial costumer models. 2)GMC would have two versions of every major type of GM vehicle sold in the US, the 2 types are Basic(Entry)& Denali(luxury). 3)This would liberate GM's 5 main brands from official fleet sales. Any fleet buyer would get the same cars as other costumers. Only personal changes to product may be made for disabilties, etc. 4)Pontiac & Buick would no longer need to worry about s…

The 2010 GMC Terrain Details Book, for dealership sales personnel training, has been given to a member of the TerrainForum.net who ordered a Terrain recently. It won't be too long before GMC reveals its counterpart to the brand new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Automotive News reporting that GMC will be holding an event on March 1st in Detroit to reveal the 2019 Sierra. Expectations are that the Sierra will be differentiated from its Silverado sibling. Previous spy shots seem to indicate this with a different front end treatment on the Sierra. There is talk that the Sierra will also get some changes for the interior. The 2019 Sierra specs will likely match up to the Silverado with a longer wheelbase, weighing up to 450 pounds less than the outgoing model, spacious cargo bed, and an available power tailgate. Six powertrai…

GMC Hummer EV drivers can now charge their gargantuan EVs on Tesla Superchargers, according to an announcement on GMC's website. Enabling Supercharging requires an update to the myGMC app; however, users can use the Tesla app and register temporarily as a Rivian R1S until the app update completes. Drivers who expect to use the Tesla Superchargers network regularly may wish to sign up for a $12.99 subscription through the Tesla app, which grants a 10c/kWh discount. With a 200 kWh battery, just two charges from 20% - 80% per month would cover the membership fee. The myGMC app will also allow owners to purchase an official NACS to CCS adaptor. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/01/2015-gmc-canyon-whats-the-difference.html Mark Williams wrote a good article on the differences with the 2015 GMC Canyon and 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. I've got to say while I was impressed with the Colorado when it was first shown last month in Los Angeles, I wasn't 'wowed' enough. I figured if the Canyon was a rebadge of the Colorado (a'la 2004), then my next vehicle decision (Sierra) was easily made. No such luck; I'll have some thinking and planning to do here

2007 GMC Acadia Road Test A notch above the rest—including some big names by Eric Peters | (2007-07-05) | Link to Original Article @ TCC GMC is GM's upscale SUV and truck division, up a notch from Chevy, not quite as high-end as Cadillac. And until now, it has only sold trucks and truck-based SUVs. Of course, not everyone needs or wants a truck - or even truck-based SUV, for that matter. Realizing this, GM decided to broaden GMC's product portfolio by adding the new Acadia to the lineup. Though it has the hunky looks of a large, truck-based SUV, the eight-passenger Acadia is in fact the first-ever GMC model to be built on what is essentially a front-wheel-drive, …

Somewhere I saw an drawing of a 2009 GMC minivan. It was included in a photo gallery of some of the NAIS vehicles. If the vehicle was produced, it would at least give GM a shot at making up some lost ground in the minivan market. Chevy and GMC should make minivans instead of Saturn, Pontiac and Buick. Lutz should have demanded that the Venture had a slight facelift and destroyed the Uplander and its boring siblings. To me the 1984 Astro was more attractive than the 2004 Uplander.

The event will take place at the Shops at Sunset Place at 9:30 p.m. “Gridiron Gang” is based on a true story about two juvenile detention camp probation officers who turn a group of troubled teens into a disciplined high school football team in four weeks, while teaching them self-respect and responsibility. Have you seen the latest GMC commercial?....I especially like the part where it goes into 380 degrees around a Denali pickup with great hot music playing. I kind of got aroused, made me want one of those very sharp, sexy trucks. I hope GM does more of that....make me want to buy it. Bonus commercial item: I just saw a coolant commercial...of course can't remember the name because it was so blatantly sexy and I was distracted. A hot well-endowed mama comes over to the car and begins to pour in some liquid while a male voice mentions something about a 'jug' of coolant.....as the model leans in and displays her ample cleavage...now that's how to sell sex…

Aside from the turbo-four engine, the 3.0L Duramax diesel inline-six for the upcoming 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 has us very intrigued. General Motors has been quiet on power figures and fuel economy for this engine since announcing this engine earlier in the year. But thanks to a crafty person who got some photographs off of GM Canada’s dealer site, we now have some figures. The photos were posted by TFL Truck and reveal the diesel engine produces 282 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque - 32 horsepower and 10 pound-feet more than the F-150's 3.0L PowerStroke diesel. GM also claims a highway fuel economy figure of 28 mpg - about two mpg less tha…

Not sure if this is the right place to ask questions, but I thought I would try. I bought a 2008 Sierra All Terrain 12 years ago, wow time flies ! Totally love the truck and thought I took really good care of it. Now however, I've got rust developing on each side of the rear fenders. I see many trucks of this same age with the same problem. Does anyone have any experience or comments on how to fix this so I can keep the truck looking as good as possible as long as possible? I see a product called "rust converter". Hello Everybody, Let me start off by saying I know very little about cars. I'm a software engineer by trade so please keep that in mind as you respond to my post(s). I know most of the basic components work. I can fix a flat and change my oil but that's about it. Here's my story: I've been contemplating for the past, oh I don't know...year and a half, about buying a new car. I'm at the point in my life (and career for that matter) where I can afford to buy myself something nice. During that time, the Sierra Denali has been front and center in my thinking. I haven't really been thinking about it all that seriously though because I don't really drive that much any…

Okay, so I'm new to all of this, had a quick question. How difficult is it to find a 78 GMC 3/4 ton? Been looking around and have only seen this one which happens to be for sale right down the road from me. It looks a little rough around the edges but still seems to be running very well. Was wondering what would seem like a fair price just based on what you can see, and if it doesn't seem worth it, how hard are these to find? Any help or advice would be very appreciated.

Canadian Driver: August 8, 2006 Feature: GM reveals new 2007 Silverado and Sierra Among domestic manufacturers, trucks are big business: they are General Motors' highest-volume product, and the profits they generate are going to be considered a large part of the company's plan to revive its flagging fortunes. So it's no surprise that the company made an event out of revealing the new generation of its Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, which debut as 2007 models. It all happened at the company's massive proving grounds in Milford, Michigan, where media, dealers and a select group of truck owners from across Canada and the U.S. were assembled in the scorching Augus…

The Ram 1500 has a diesel option and recently updated Ford F-150 will be getting one in the near future. What about General Motors' full-size pickups? Some new spy photos reveal that it could be in the cards for the next-generation models. Somehow, a spy photographer was able to get underneath a GMC Sierra mule to find what appears to be a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter - key items you need to sell a diesel in the U.S. Of course, the question arises of what engine is under the hood. Various reports say it could range from a 3.0L V6 from Navistar to the 2.8L Duramax four-cylinder found in the Colorado/Canyon (we're a bit dubious on this …

For the 2018 Model Year, Chevy gave the Tahoe an RST package for some extra sporting pizzazz and more recently introduced the RST Performance package on the Suburban. The RST removed chrome, blacked out grilles, and added custom wheels. Upgrading to the performance package brought on the 6.2 liter V8, 10-Speed automatic transmission, and GM's Magnetic Ride Control. At GMC, the only way to get those performance upgrades was to first check the box on the order form that said "Denali". One of our intrepid readers lurking around the GM Fleet Order Guide (Hat-tip: @ocnblu) found that GMC is planning to offer a virtually identical set of packages on the Yukon for 2019. …

William Maley Editor/Reporter - CheersandGears.com February 8, 2012 Last March, we got our hands on a spy picture of what was a Denali version of the GMC Terrain. The mule had a blacked out honeycomb grill and a new square, chrome exhaust tip. We though the Terrain Denali would be coming sometime this year. Well, we were right on except the year. Automotive News reports that sources inside GM say Terrain Denali is a go. The reason to building a Denali version are to keep the sales momentum going for the Terrain (2011 saw a 37% increase in sales). Building a more luxurious version of the Terrain could attract more buyers, with Denali vehicles seeing a 79% increase last…

Hello all, I'm a newbie to this site, contemplating a return to the GM fold after an abscence of 15 years. I have a question regarding the reliability of the cylinder shutdown system on the 5.3L engine. I had a really horrible experience with a Cadillac Eldorado with the old V-8-6-4 system, and I'm scared to death of the thought of another similar deal. But wifey wants an Envoy Denali. So, the question is, what are ya'll experiencing? Can it be decativated electronically by means of a chip or some other device? Any real world experience and/or advice would be most appreciated. Thanks so much ya'll....

In particular, my wish list would include: (1) a back up camera to go with the navigation unit- already planned for the Enclave; (2) rain sensing wipers- I love these on my VW Jetta; (3) preservation of the 6 disc CD when navigation is ordered; (4) having a DVD slot on the rear entertainment system unit itself; (5) availability of Bluetooth; (6) availability of a tan/beige interior as an option; and (7) amber rear turning signals- far easier to see than red ones, from my perspective.

Hey guys, not quite sure if this is where this thread belongs, but hopefully if not, It will get moved. I didn't know if the dealers typically follow a pattern in rebates through the months of the year. I ordered a new 2500HD and it will be here in February. DIdn't know if that was traditionally a bad month and hopefully they usually give bigger rebates then???????? I believe they're somewhere around $1500-2000 now. It will be my first ever new vehicle purchase, so I don't have any past experience with new car rebates to go back on. Thanks in advance.

I got the new 2007 NG Sierra pamphlet at the Barrie Auto SHow. Here are the pics and I will post the Silverado pamphlet pics over at Chevrolet Trucks. Sorry if they are too big. I just dont want them to be too small so people can read it. Resize them if you wish.

I love the GMT-900s but I hate the Yukon's front end... it looks like a smily face. Trucks should be more agressive. Has anyone tried photoshopping the Sierras front ends or even just the headlights onto the new Yukon? I think it would be sweet.

Next time you're over to the YouTube on the internets, check out this guy's channel. He's out in Oregon where trucks don't rust away to nothing. http://www.youtube.com/user/ElderlyIron?feature=watch He's got a lot of videos uploaded, so you might have to look around, but his GMC finds and Redneck Restorations are pretty cool to watch.

2000 GMC Sierra Stepside Z71 thinking of putting on a lift kit probably nothing more then 2/3" (would like to still get into garages and drive-thrus) But I am not sure If i should get a suspension lift kit (and all that comes with it) or a body lift kit. What is easier? What will cause more headach in the end? I know the price difference but are there things about a lift kit that most do not pay attention to (ex. driveshaft, axelwrap, etc.)????

So the mid size trucks GM will have as an option the 2.8L Duramax with 200 hp/370 lb-ft. I have been searching but have not found anything on what the hauling and towing estimates will be. Does anyone have a idea either backed by engine know how of what these trucks can haul or have seen any GM documentation that would indicate what it can haul / Tow? I have been searching for the over seas spec and not found it yet, but then not very good doing a search for this info. Please post if you find it.

I was wondering if anybody knew why the GMC Sierra is priced higher than a compliably equipped Chevy Silverado. Based on MSRG's listed from both websites, the base price for a Chevy Silverado 1LT, 2WD extended cab is $26,860. A Sierra SLE1 3SA, 2WD extended cab lists for $27,455. Unless I am overlooking something, both trucks have the identical features and options. Another price difference is on the Max Trailering Package. Chevy list price is $1,685 and GMC's is $2,265. Both packages are identical. Personally, I prefer the looks of the GMC over the Chevy. I was leaning towards purchasing the Sierra, but Chevy appears to be a better bargain. I will have to admit tha…
