It might look the same, but there are big changes coming for the next-generation GMC Acadia Car and Driver got their hands on a set of spy shots showing off the next-generation GMC Acadia crossover. This is an important model for GMC as it currently is the third best-selling model in the lineup with more than 80,000 Acadias sold in the past couple of years. So what do the pictures reveal? It seems GMC isn't changing the basic design of the Acadia's exterior. But the interior shows some drastic changes. The dashboard looks similar to the one used on the Canyon with a compressed centerstack and a large screen with GMC's Intellilink. The new Acadia along with its…

Okay, so I'm new to all of this, had a quick question. How difficult is it to find a 78 GMC 3/4 ton? Been looking around and have only seen this one which happens to be for sale right down the road from me. It looks a little rough around the edges but still seems to be running very well. Was wondering what would seem like a fair price just based on what you can see, and if it doesn't seem worth it, how hard are these to find? Any help or advice would be very appreciated.

Following the debut of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC's released pictures of the new look for its bread and butter Sierra series for 2016. The update consists of new "C" Shape tail lights and front running lights, along with a new front fascia. From the not surprising file, a spy photographer has gotten the first indication of a Canyon Denali. Back in September, we reported that GMC's chief wants a Canyon Denali, but didn't give a possible timeline for when it will come out. Pictures show a prototype Canyon wearing the Denali's chrome mesh grille and chrome bumper behind some camouflage. Now the prototype doesn't feature a chrome rear bumper like other Denali models. But it doesn't mean that the production model will not feature one. No pictures of the prototype's interior, but we expect the usual Denali upgrades. Source: Autoblog View full article

Hello - My wife and I are looking for another SUV and I'm just curious what you all think of the Suburban vs the Yukon XL and the Yukon XL vs the Escalade ESV. Do you think the significant price hike between the XL and ESV is worth it? As best as I can tell, the noticeable differences are a much better quality trim (leather-wrapped in the Escalade - painted plastic in the Yukon), the Escalade has a Bose 5.1 surround system, a bigger navigation screen and a better ride (IMO.) The downside is, even with my GMS pricing, it's $12k more and it doesn't have Active Fuel Management and FlexFuel (stupid move on GM's part) I appreciate any feedback and insight.

A few months back, we reported on a story dealing with possible future products for GMC. One of those products being bandied about was a competitor to the Jeep Wrangler. Well it seems this idea has some legs at GM as a report from the Wall Street Journal says GM has spoken to its dealers about this. Speaking with a several sources, the Journal reports that GM talked to its dealers about the possibility of a GMC product that would borrow cues and off-road credentials from the defunct Hummer brand. Dealers were asked to provide feedback and do some research to help the company make a decision of whether or not to go forward with it. “The idea is being kicked around real h…

GMC is following the same lines of Chevrolet by reducing the amount of brightwork on one of their trucks. The automaker announced a new Nightfall Edition for the Canyon today. Available on the Canyon SLE Crew Cab model, the Nightfall Edition comes with a Onyx Black paint color, along with a number of blacked-out trim pieces such as a front grille, cab steps, and eighteen-inch alloy wheels with black inserts. Nightfall also includes automatic climate control and remote start. “The new Canyon Nightfall Edition expands the Canyon lineup and gives style-conscious customers another choice. Importantly, customers get the great looks of the Canyon Nightfall Edition and its uni…

I'm sorry I didn't find this truck last weekend during the 20% off Black Friday Sale. One option I wasn't considering is the 22" tires & rims ($3k option!! :-O ). Looking for input on this option (22" tires) - other than being an expensive-to-replace tire, anyone have any knowledge about the ride quality and handling characteristics of this size tire? I like everything else about this truck.

The Jeep Wrangler really has no equal. Sure competitors come on the scene to try and take on the Wrangler, but they go away after awhile - see the Toyota FJ Cruiser as the latest example. But that isn't stopping automakers from taking a stab at it. Case in point is GMC. Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred tells Edmunds that is looking at strengthening the brand by looking at the possibility of introducing new models. "We are looking at everything. What segments will grow? What segments will not? We are evaluating all possibilities that could really turbocharge the brand and the growth," said Aldred. Aldred says at the current time, GMC is in the brainstorming stage …
