My Dad has been ready to replace a 2000 F-150 that was worn-out. My parents have been long-time, loyal Ford buyers...I have worked for a Ford deale since 1992. Their first consideration was Expedition and F-150 Super-Crew. Mom currently drives (and LOVES) her 2002 Explorer. Dad was very interested in the Nissan Armada, and some of his co-workers suggested a Ridgeline. So he looked, drove, and then took Mom along to test drive again. And again. Mom & Dad's thoughts: Expedition and F-150 - good reputation and good $$ deal with my family plan pricing, but looks are a bit too bland. Performance feels weak. Armada - very impressive overall, great seats, ni…

CSI Detroit? GMC Creates Its Own Mobile Analysis Unit Date posted: 04-20-2006 DETROIT — GMC said it donated two 2007 GMC Yukons to Los Angeles and Las Vegas law enforcement on Tuesday as part of an initiative with the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The General Motors brand, working with forensic consultants, designed and manufactured the Yukon-based Mobile Analysis Unit (MAU), which includes a stainless-steel mobile command center and illuminated slide-out Plexiglas evidence trays. Other features include a power liftgate, an integrated KVH TracVision A5 in-motion digital satellite TV receiver, 20-inch polished-aluminum wheels and chrome tubular assist steps…

..for the rest of the GMT900s? I am specifically looking for info on the Denali and XL Denali. From what I hear the schedules may have been bumped up a little, so I am anxious to find out. The people on this board seem to know more than the dealers. thanks!

I was just on my GM Access vehicle locator looking for a 2007 Yukon for a customer. So I set the model year to 2007 and was looking through the list for the Yukon when I saw at the bottom of the list "TV14526 ACADIA AWD". So I'm thinking that the Acadia might actually be a 2007 model.

GMC is primarily a truck brand. However, why not make it live up to the name General Motors Commercial. 1)GMC should not be availible for non-commercial costumers. GMCs would be sold wholesale to its commercial costumers.Saturn would take on selling non-commercial costumer models. 2)GMC would have two versions of every major type of GM vehicle sold in the US, the 2 types are Basic(Entry)& Denali(luxury). 3)This would liberate GM's 5 main brands from official fleet sales. Any fleet buyer would get the same cars as other costumers. Only personal changes to product may be made for disabilties, etc. 4)Pontiac & Buick would no longer need to worry about s…

2007 Yukon is a leap forward in styling and content By Paul & Anita Lienert The redesigned 2007 GMC Yukon got plenty of advance publicity months before it went on sale in February, as much for General Motors' questionable timing as for the full-size utility vehicle's extensive makeover. Critics have questioned why GM focused so much of its development budget on big trucks and SUVs at a time of stratospheric fuel prices and increasing foreign competition in passenger cars. But the Yukon and its siblings, the Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade, were pretty long in the tooth and desperately in need of a major overhaul. In any context, the '07 Yukon is a huge step…

The dealer had already ordered the same truck for dealer stock so he expects it to be on the ground in about 6 weeks. Lets hope he is right!

I got my April issue of C&D yesterday, and they had a short review of the Denali. For the most part, they liked it a lot. They said the new 6-speed was almost always very smooth and was happy to downshift two or three ratios. They attained 20 MPG on the highway over some streches, even at near 80MPH. They averaged 12MPG throughout the test. They love the Autoride and said it feels "impossibly solid and composed and, at the same time, comfortably compliant." Performance was really surprising to me, considering that GM says the Escalade does 0-60 in 6.8s and C&D got 6.2 in the Denali. The 1/4 mile was also surprising: 15.0s at 94MPH. That's faster than a V8…

Aparently on the new GMT900s if you opt for the Navigation radio you only get a single slot DVD/CD player. No CD changer available like the previous models. This stinks! When you have the Nav CD in the player, you have no option to play music CDs. This seems like a typical GM oversight to me. Even the Caddy does not offer a CD changer. You get one extra slot for 1 more disc. Better, but still not adequate. Comments?

2007 GMC Yukon: Professional Grade at Competitive Price DETROIT – GMC today announced that the all-new Yukon will be offered with an MSRP of $34,690, $3,290 less than the recently repriced model it replaces. The Yukon features an entirely new interior and exterior design and the Yukon lineup features an all-new chassis and continuing standard Stabilitrak with new rollover mitigation technology. The aggressive MSRP is in line with the recent repricing announcement for the GMC brand. The 2007 Yukon will be available in February 2006, followed by the launch of Yukon XL and Denali models later this year. “We are excited to introduce the new Yukon lineup, and with the…

When I stumbled across this concept a few days ago I figured it had to have been something a bit older due to its overall blocky design and shape. But when GM announced the debuts for L.A. just yesterday I knew that Gizmag had done wrong. Take a look at the pictures below of this new PAD along with some information below courtest of Gizmag. http://www.gizmag.com/watermark.php?p=4914_7120533502.jpg http://www.gizmag.com/watermark.php?p=4914_7120533626.jpg http://www.gizmag.com/watermark.php?p=4914_7120533435.jpg http://www.gizmag.com/watermark.php?p=4914_7120533405.jpg http://www.gizmag.com/watermark.php?p=4914_7120533121.jpg The GMC PAD is an urban loft …

So without contacting a dealer for a direct price quote, does anybody have any idea how much a 5500 and a 7500 GMC would cost?

Have you seen the latest GMC commercial?....I especially like the part where it goes into 380 degrees around a Denali pickup with great hot music playing. I kind of got aroused, made me want one of those very sharp, sexy trucks. I hope GM does more of that....make me want to buy it. Bonus commercial item: I just saw a coolant commercial...of course can't remember the name because it was so blatantly sexy and I was distracted. A hot well-endowed mama comes over to the car and begins to pour in some liquid while a male voice mentions something about a 'jug' of coolant.....as the model leans in and displays her ample cleavage...now that's how to sell sex…

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Featu...rticleId=107544 I believe this is the first time that we've seen an extended cab GMT-900 pickup, all the other spy shots have been the crew cab. The front end does look different from the Yukon, adding to what insiders have said about the pickups looking much different from the SUVs.
