The first vehicle that kicked off the renaissance of Jaguar, the XF, is getting a redesign that will debut next month at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The British automaker released two teaser shots showing the exterior and interior. Mercedes-AMG is going overboard with the number of models it is offering, Case in point is the 2017 E43 that will be debuting at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks. Like the C43 Coupe that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, the E43 uses a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 paired with a nine-speed automatic and a rear-biased 4Matic all-wheel drive system. We have to admit Jaguar pulled off quite the stunt with the 2016 XF. Driving across London's Canary Wharf on two 784-foot long wires is no small feat, but it highlights some of the big changes made to second-generation model which Jaguar has divulged today. First off is the XF's body. Jaguar says the body is now 75 percent aluminum which means a drop of 132 pounds on the rear-drive model and 265 pounds on the all-wheel drive model. This is our preview of the five-seat version Volkswagen is planning to launch sometime next year. Three years on from its original launch, Acura has given the TLX a substantial refresh and revealed it on the eve of the New York Auto Show. In a couple of weeks, the New York Auto Show will be underway with automakers showing their various wares. Toyota will be using the show to reveal the 2019 RAV4. Today, the company dropped a shadowy teaser of the next-generation compact crossover. To our eyes, the overall shape looks somewhat familiar to the Jaguar F-Pace crossover. The Toyota Prius remains the poster child for the hybrid vehicle. But when it comes to the plug-in hybrid, there really isn't a vehicle that stands for it. Since Ford made the announcement of the Focus RS and that it would be arriving in the U.S., we've been hungry for more details. Well Ford has dropped a few more bits as it announced that the Focus RS will make its North American debut at the New York Auto Show next week. I just got back from the New York Auto show, and besides having a bad driving/parking experience it was a lot of fun. I have to say the Aura and the Sky that I sat in were pretty crappy. I don't know if it was just a show car or what, but it was total junk. Most of the other GM cars I was pretty impressed with though. The Camaro was truly a work of automtive art, and was even better than in pictures. I'll probably post some pics a little bit later. Any other questions?

The WRX Concept "hints at the design language of the next-generation WRX," Subaru said in a statement. The concept is shorter than the current WRX/STI models, but it's wider and has a lower roofline. The design cues on the concept include a large hood scoop, massive grille, bulging fenders, quad exhaust outlets that frame a rear diffuser, and a set of twenty-inch BBS wheels. Inside Line got their hands on some video captures of the 2013 SRT Viper a day before its official debut at the New York Auto Show. All of the familiar elements of the Viper are still here: double-bubble roof, wicked hood scoop, gaping side vents, side exhaust, and powerslides. Well, some new information has come to light about the next RL before its debut. The next RL will have a new name. According to Ward's Auto, the RL will add an X to its name. That comes from Acura's vice president Jeff Conrad, during a media event for the new ILX and RDX. Hyundai released some sketches of their upcoming Venue due to debut at the New York International Auto Show next week. The Hyundai Venue will be the smallest and least expensive crossover in the Hyundai lineup. From the images, we can see what appears to be a 3 door crossover with a deep-set grille similar in shape and texture to the Hyundai Santa Fe. Deep creases run along the sides to pod like tail lamps. Fisker says the Atlantic will utilize and updated version of the same technology found in the large Karma range-extended EV. This week, the official images of the Fisker Nina, now called the Atlantic were released. The Atlantic carries a lot of the same design elements as the larger Karma, mostly in the front with aggressiveness and scalloped sides. The back end ends abruptly.
