Facepalm is for the stupid way they did the fix, not a fix, lost feature you paid for. Totally agree with you. Sorry to hear it was such a bird brain idea by Ford. Wonder if you can reconnect it and replace the bulb that gets hot with a LED version that stays cool and will not cause a fire? -
I had a recall done yesterday on my Navigator. The recall was to eliminate the risk of something catching fire due to the under-mirror lighting. The fix was to simply unplug the lights and I lose the feature. This seems pretty ridiculous, right? Like, there wasn't an actual fix. I just lost something I paid for. I had a loaner new Escape for the day though. It was..uhhh...okay... -
