  1. Started by intrigued,

Baseball is in the last quarter of the season and it is shaping up to be a very close race to the post season with 18 teams being within seven games of their division lead. I'm a rabid Mets fan and am hoping to see my team make the playoffs for the second year in a row. Here are my pridictions for the end of the regular season AL Divsions- East - Boston Central - Detroit West - Angels Wild card - Seattle NL Divisions- East - Mets Central - Milwaukee West - Diamond Backs Wild Card - Phillies That's what I think the post season will look like but a lot can happen in these last 5 weeks of the season.

Well I crashed my calculator tryin' to figure out how old you really are, but hey, age is just a number, right? Have a good one!

  3. I am considering a low-mileage car, unfortunately it is a 1995 Neon but it does have 76,000 kms and is almost free of rust except for the underbody. They want $2000 for this car certified and all repaired, it needs new exhaust and new lines. Would this vehicle be worth $2000?

Don't ask. Also, I went dealer hopping tonight. Looked at the new Acadia up close for the first time. It's quite nice. The interior design looks better than it does in pics, and it looked pretty good in pics. I like it. Got to look a Solstice GXP for the first time as well. Sad that it took this long, but hey, I live in the middle of nowhere. While I like the Solstice, I never really loved it. 7. So yes, I've been busy. Sorry I have been absent on here. I'm not "back" either, you probably will see very little of me in the next few weeks. Installing a water pump on my 1959 Buick for the 8th time the other day I cracked the timing chain cover so I can drive the car about 20 miles & or 30 minutes between 2 gallons fillups of H20. My STS is still not sold, it just might have to go to the junkyard tomorrow if the landlord is still having a cow. The Datsun sits in the mini-carport. Untouched, not roadworthy but still together. As far as my personal life, well I think I will keep my personal life "personal" for now, but a LOT has/is happening.…

If, in your life, there is ever a time when you are in a hurry, in the second story of a house with old, worn out carpet on the stairs, and you feel the need to apply your haste to the speed that you walk down the stairs... don't. Pace yourself and be careful. Otherwise, you may slip and fall. Then, you'd end up with a sore ass, right leg, left arm, and chest. It won't be pleasant. I'm warning you, it won't. You may shake it off, shortly after it happens as you get up and continue doing what you were doing, but the pain/soreness will increase as time goes on. As you wake up the next day, you will wish you had not been in such a hurry for such a silly reason. You say "I ca…

Hey guys, I've been using my parents' PC, which is infested with the occasional pop-up, and it's driving me insane. The pop-ups are related to whatever website I'm viewing. If I'm on a site about, say, internships, then there will be a Yahoo! Jobs pop-up ad. Sometimes if I click on a link from a Google search, it will automatically take me to a different, spam website. If I click "back" and try again, it's usually okay. It seems like Firefox is working overtime to close these pop-ups - the uppermost "bar" turns light blue, and I have to click on the browser to continue scrolling or typing - though several still come through. It's annoying, and I'm concerned about m…

Its licenced and inspected since July so apparently the brakes and all is working, so maybe the underneath is not too bad ? I just looked quickly at it from the outside and have not talked to anyone. During the early years it was a hybrid of sorts, often sharing its platform with whatever full-size Ford sedan was in production at the time while occasionally plucking engines or suspensions from the Lincoln catalog. After 1978, the Colony Park's fate was forever tied to its Marquis sedan brother and the Ford cousins, no longer did it have equipment ties to Lincoln. For 1992, the big Ford and Mercury sedans were redesigned to the new Aero look introduced ten years earlier on the Tempo/Topaz and made into a best seller with the 198…

  70. So I'm traveling down a suburban road, when an F-150 makes a right turn from a side road, with no turn signal, and swings way over into my lane coming toward me. She barely makes it back into her lane as I get to her. I look over and she's just smilin' and jackin' her jaws on a CELL PHONE, completely oblivious to the task at hand, seemingly, and that is... DRIVING HELLO. Freakin' birdbrain individuals out there, I'm tellin' ya. And the laws banning cell phone use while driving will not work until someone has an accident and it is proven they were using their phone at the time. What sort of alignment of the stars has to happen for a police officer to actually be there…

Earlier this week, I had an "uh oh" moment on the way home. I was in the right lane of a 2-lane road and was trying to get over into the left lane. I kept checking my rearview mirror and glancing back to see if anyone was coming, but a Ford Explorer kept speeding up and slowing down such that I wasn't able to get over. In the meantime, the minivan ahead of me suddenly slammed on its brakes ... apparently because someone else had slowed down to turn right onto another street. At the time that I looked back ahead of me (I had been checking the rearview mirror), I panicked ... and hit the brakes, thinking I was going to hit the minivan. My '87 MC LS screeched to a halt …

Hmm....debating on what I want to do here. I have an 03 Cavalier with a month or two before it is paid off. I'm up in the air about what I want to do here...Whether I should keep it fully covered, or drop it to basic coverage.... On one hand, it is only about 4.5 years old, and in good shape. On the other hand, Cavaliers in general are not worth much (they were giving them away those last few years there..) I can take the money saved for a new car, or if by chance it does get totalled, we could just buy a new one.... What would you do? Normally I wouldn't think about this (car isn't that old yet), but when I see Cavs in good shape going for 5995, that kinda …

  74. Want to talk politics with your neighbour? The Economist I WAS in Seattle on Monday, chatting to Pat Murakami, a lady who runs a small computer repair shop and does a little political agitating on the side. She’s concerned about her neighbourhood, a vibrant area full of Vietnamese shops and veiled women waiting at bus stops. A few years ago, the city tried to declare parts of it “blighted”. That would have enabled it to seize people’s homes and hand the land to private developers. Mrs Murakami started a group called “Many Cultures, One Message”, to rally her neighbors to object to the proposed bulldozing. She prevailed. Or at least, the plan to knock down chunks of he…

There is a '71 Eldorado for sale in the Wal-Mart parking lot, $5000. Its red with a tan top and red leather interior. The body is really straight, the interior is in great shape, only problem I see is the rear window on the passenger side is down and I dont know why. I want it and I could probably talk my way into being permitted to buy it, but I'd have to find someone to give me a loan for at least part of it and someplace to store it.

I am a huge one and I can't wait for the seventh and final book to come out this July 21st, Harry Potter and the Deathley Hallows. I enjoy the movies but as with most good books the movies don't hold a candle to the books. Anyways just asking. can't wait for the 112 days till the book release.

As a kid or young adult, I didn't have the nerve to do this. Now I do, though I use it sparingly. Our office/firm just lost a bunch of people after the new year. Some picked up their year end bonuses and went to new companies or started their own. When the job market (in a field or in an area) is short on help, job hopping goes up and loyalty goes down. I handle my own client projects and now I "inherited" a few more from the departees. Everybody has been just awesome in understanding and is allowing us more time to complete projects. Except one client who is in the "inherited" batch. In 6 days of working with him (and I jumped right to it to servicing his project)…

Just found out from the news today (Yes, eventhough I'm anti-press I do glance every once in a while) that as of now there are only 2 other place in America where gas prices are higher than what I'm paying. Those places are 1) Hawaii and 2) Some high class place up north I think. So we have the third highest gas prices on average in the nation. The other day my community had the most expensive gas prices in NC. They're averaging from 3.19/gallon to 3.21/ gallon for regular here. I got a tank in Charlotte this weekend for 2.98/gallon though...SCORE!!! Just thought I would whine a bit.

The graphite colored cloth/leather interior with the faux aluminum trim, 3 spoke wheel and other SS trim bits is really sharp. the 3.9 is deffinetly fast in this lighter malibu than it is in teh g6 gtp and the gtp was getting very respectable mid to low 0-60 times and good quarter mile times to begin with. The sport suspension and hurdallic steering are very well balllanced and calibrated and I like the tossability and handling of the shorter wheelbase epsilon though it makes for noticably more tourqe steer than the long wheelbase cars. Why do they profess their love for you one minute, then ignore you the next (say, when an Attila the Hun special turns up on TV)? Why can they not remember our birthdays? Let science explain some of these conundrums—and help you rev up your relationships! Be patient with his memory The hippocampus, where initial memories are formed, occupies a smaller percent of the male brain than the female brain. If on your first date he can't remember where you work, even though you told him all about it when you met, just remember that size matters … hippocampus size, that is. Don…
