Maybe. I have been quietly continuing the search for a plow truck to replace the ROPOS, and I went to see and drive this truck today: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/3265427508.html Not at all what I really want , but it is the only truck I've looked at that doesn't have serious rust issues. It won't tow and haul the way I'd like, and pushing a heavy snow might be a challenge, but time is short and I haven't found much else. The only real concern I have with this truck is the mismatch of the body lines between cab and bed. It can be seen in the pics, and measures about an inch. What I don't know is why. I don't know if it is just trashed cab mounts (they seem …

http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2412894602.html My 17 y-o step-son will be getting his driver's license in early September... he has been "car shopping" for a little while now. His "wants" include the Jeep Wrangler, Cadillac DTS, and Pontiac Grand Prix ('97-'03) - and the price range he's in is around $2500 now (however I think one of the grandparents may contribute, and he recently took on a 2nd job). He sends me the DTS above that he found on CL, asking me what I think about this one. I know from here that the Northstar engine is not a recommended engine, but what other issues may this year DTS suffer from that might make this car not a great purchas…

Lately I've been bringing truckloads of.... stuff home, all sorts of interesting vintage tidbits, parts, tools & whatnot. Tonight was boxes of factory & aftermarket mechanical parts. Anyone need an NOS fuel pump/filter for a '47 Willys? Maybe someone here recognizes these 2 caps : This one reminded me of the '79 Eldorado caps (the section with the holes is cast metal, so it's rather heavy for a hubcap), but it's not that. No holes for a center emblem is a puzzler, too. It's not going to be post '85, I believe. This one I've never seen before, is reminding me of '60s/early 70s Jeep (I think it's the red stripe), but I've not placed it yet. Another one without …

Whole: $1500 (but no title). Parts available: everything but motor/ trans/ radiator (only a later 350). Lots of solid sheet metal & stainless, no notable options. Has desirable BOP front-loader rear- heavily sought after for vintage drag cars. Seats were re-upholstered, but not factory & not exactly appealing. Hate to break this one up since it still oozes personality & class.... but not my decision/ car. Located in New Brunswick, NJ

Thoughts? Price is in my range, and I like these GMCs a lot... does it look like a good project truck? Link: http://southjersey.c...3268067034.html I believe this is a High Sierra trimmed model, can't make out the dash plaque since it's missing it's fender emblems. I'd definitely need to keep the motor in it though!!

Found on Craigslist For sale a pair of 61 Pontiac Ventura's 1 was an original 425A car with drag Racing history from new in Florida. The other is a complete running 389 auto. The 425 A car has PHS , 8 Lugs, HP manifolds, 3:64 posi, still on it but it is good for parts to build the other car. Worth well more than the asking price in parts alone. Also selling off a 1963 Grand Prix 1 owner from California complete with A/C and 8 lugs for $2400.00 http://philadelphia....3036308980.html

Saw this advertised in the local Auto Shopper magazine; went to the Red Cross Motor Pool just to check it out: 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Roadster, 98k, $1,950: Outdoors kept car, filler panels in rear cracked/need replacing, some bubbling (rust) on the doors and otehr areas, interior seat repairs needed, but overall a nice car to restore if into these. I hate the fabric roadster roof though.

While attending the All-GM Nationals show in Carlisle, PA this past Saturday, I fell in love with something I've always had a soft spot for - a 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser station wagon (this one was not for sale). However, a quick look on Craigslist today brought me to this 1991 model: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/2457511935.html So Custom Cruiser experts, I ask for your knowledge, advice, insight, opinion on this '91. I am definitely a lover of all things GMC Trucks, but there are certain generations of pickups I desire to own. My most desired pickup generations include 1955-1959 (with an emphasis on '55-'57), 1967-1972, and 1973-1987. The '50s GMCs are just too darn expensive to restore, as not all parts are shared with Chevy Trucks (engines & transmissions from Pontiac with GMC truck parts used)... and the same could be said for the late '60s - early '70s trucks too, though more parts are now shared with Chevy Trucks. The killer for me with most of those two generations is the entry price to get one. The values on those trucks are steadily climbing. While at the AACA show He…

http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/cto/4100335374.html I SO WANT THIS THING!! Seriously. It's located in Mechanicsburg, PA, outside of Carlisle/Harrisburg. I wish I knew someone out this way to go check it out for me in person. I'd have to get real creative with finding a storage spot, but I've got two potential places in mind (if the people will be open minded). My illusions of granduer have this in mind for this GMC (after a lot of time and money, of course!):

It should be no surprise that I look weekly for GMC pickups from two different generations: 1955-1959 and 1973-1987 ('89-'91 V3500). While most times the measley sum of cash available to me won't get me the trucks I find, it doesn't stop me from contemplating 'projects'. I present for discussion the following two '86 GMCs: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4234478112.html *Asking price: $1200 http://delaware.craigslist.org/cto/4267461741.html *Asking price: $700 I'd want to fix up the first '86 (C2500) and use the second '86 (K1500) to make one truck. Not sure but likely would keep the C2500 a 2WD. I'd use as many parts from the K1500 to fix u…

The wife isn't crazy about the Riviera's design, especially the rear, and being a two-door doesn't help either (there's the pesky car seat that my little guy needs to use). So I decided that I should look into finding a 2002-2003 Buick Park Avenue instead. I found four that interest me - (3) 2002 PA's and (1) 2003 PA Ultra. I'm asking about the Ultra. Here it is: 2003 Park Avenue Ultra, 51k original miles, fully loaded (HUD, sunroof, chrome rims, leather/heated seats, etc.) and all for the low-low price of $9,499. My online research indicates that these are a pretty reliabel car and that the 3800 V6 is a great engine to have. Not sure about the supercha…

1999 GMC Suburban 1500 SL 2WD: http://winnerford.reachlocal.com/?scid=1782856&kw=6725450&pub_cr_id=13483169053 http://southjersey.craigslist.org/ctd/3420387572.html This is probably the most basic '90s GMT-400 GMC Suburban I've ever seen. No 3rd row seat; vinyl 6-passenger seating (bench seats 1st & 2nd rows); front A/C only; AM/FM Stereo; manual windows and locks; no crusie control. Surprisingly, it has the upgraded 2WD aluminum wheels, rear hatch/tailgate (barn doors standard), and bright bodyside molding (options on the SL trim). Very low mileage for it's age - 69,xxx miles. But $6,995???? These used vehicle prices are out of control!?!? …

http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/4578545956.html - 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Ram Air Coupe I was searching G-body Pontiac Grand Prix's ('81-'87) and stumbled upon this awesome low-mileage 2000 T/A Ram Air WS6 Coupe. The wife and kids love this car, and I can't say I blame them. I had a a '95 T/A Coupe (used) in 1998 & 1999 - I absolutely love the '93-'02 generation ('96 & '97 WS6 Coupes are my true love). The '95 I got rid of for a more family sensible ride ('99 Grand Am GT1 Sedan) and the wife has not to this day let me forget how much she loved my '95 T/A. Showing her this 2000 got her all worked up and my son jumped on the bandwagon. Neither want me to pass …

This car, from the looks of the exterior, is exactly the car that started it all for me. Nearly identical to my first Toronado except this one has a sun roof. It popped up for sale on EBay today for $1500 less than 30 miles from my house. Of course, I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma this week!!! I'm trying to get in contact with the seller.

http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/1922136019.html I need to find $300 quick - it's super close to where I live - and a place to park this thing (my HOA would kill me for parking this on the street!!). Its not the 100-series pickup I want, but for $300 it could be a cool classic GMC to own. How difficult would it be to get rid of the dump bed and related equipment? I could see making this a stake-bodied truck.
