My wife's company is headquartered in Denmark (it's a pharmacutical company). She was asked to attend a workshop there for several days next week (Sept 23-27). She asked what I'd like for her to bring me back, and I couldn't really think of anything until this morning. Depending on what brand of GM vehicles are sold there (i.e. Vauxhall, Opel), I'd like a brochure from them (I'm a cheap person to get gifts for at times). She'll have time to tour the city and will be taken around by someone she knows from Denmark that comes to the States often at her work, so they should know where to find these dealerships. Pittsburgh Air Quality Called Second-Worst In U.S. I've been suffering some breathing problems for well over a year but wasn't really able to pin it down to a specific cause until I went to Europe. After 3 days there, suddenly, I could breath again. I could sleep comfortably. I wasn't miserable. It's stuff like this that has been turning me into an environmentalist.

I saw a green and white Prius taxi today in traffic..I googled and found this article: From the Denver Business Journal: ---Metro Taxi doubled its fleet of hybrid vehicles on Denver streets Monday, bringing the total to 10. The addition of the five new Toyota Hybrid Prius is in keeping with a pledge Metro Taxi made in late May to replace all 500 vehicles in its fleet with hybrids. Just got back from a relocation research trip to Atlanta and Florida (no, not Miami). I lived in Atlanta for 2 years, slightly after college. As a product of LA, I was surprised to find that I loved it. Basically, I'm attempting to install my Clarion CD player into the Cutlass. Needless to say, it's ancient wiring has confused me. The simple wiring diagram I have for it doesn't explain what two certain wires are. As well, I don't see where I'm supposed to connect two certain wires on the other end. I quit smoking. After trying the gum and having that fail miserably I went to my doctor and got a prescription for the stop smoking drug Chantix. It doesn't totally get rid of the cravings but it does make them more managable. After about 5 weeks I took myself off of it because I didn't like the side effects. Well this week the Prizm accident was finally settled for 1,494.66, including keeping the car. Not what I wanted but better than what they were going to give me. As some of you may know, I busted my oil pan about a year ago on Tampa's infamously decrepit Kennedy Blvd. After calling a local shop who has always given me good service, I was quoted a price of $1200 to replace the oil pan because it was necessary to remove the engine and much of the transaxle to do it. I'm doing a relocation investigation trip right now to ATL and Florida. I made it a point to spend 3 days in the Panhandle on the Gulf. It's pointless to think about living there in terms of career and sophistication, because it offers not much else than a stunning seashore. Now, if I didn't have to work.... In the U.S., I'd live somewhere on the water on the Gulf of Mexico near Pensacola FL In Europe, I'd live in a small coastal village in Northern Portugal What about other C&G-ers, if work and school and other obligations weren't a concern?

Hey just figured i'd tell you guys that i wound up getting the Cadillac that i put the holding deposit on It's a 2004 3.6L Infra-red or whatever Caddy calls its dark red color these days... black leather interior... it has wood trim on the steering wheel and shifter knob which i beleive designates the luxury package... not sure tho... it has 36,000 miles on it and will only cost me about 20,000 plus taxes i'm picking the car up tomorrow and ill get some pictures then so stay tuned

This is one seriously awesome game. The graphics, the realism, the combat modes...and mostly, the scenario. In 1989, the Soviet Union mounts a full-scale invasion of the United States (Seattle, to be exact) and you're engaged in various campaigns to route the Russian advance. A few months ago, I was browing the IL Secretary of State website and discovered that IL has a specialty license plate that features/celebrates Route 66. Since then, I've been considering switching to these plates on all 5 of my Monte Carlos. But, I haven't yet switched because of the increase cost of the plates [though, on the plus side of that, a portion of the fee supports the Illinois Route 66 Heritage Project]. I'm also not happy that the letter/number combinations are limited (i.e. 2 letters, 2 numbers ... or ... 3 letters, 1 number), and I haven't been able to come up with some good combinations.... Linkypoo Some I disagree with, many I'm sure a lot of you will disagree with. Many of the cars on the list, the author, "Dickhead" Dan Neil, bitches about fuel economy, especially on the more modern cars. I do agree with him on the neutered Corvette and a few of the others, but I really disagree on the Corvair, Explorer (it probably kept Ford afloat after the 1996 Taurus debacle) and the EV1, as well as a few others. The EV1 wasn't a terrible car, it was terribly handled by GM.

Law school is looming on the horizon, which is going to require a move. I dont want to sell my house because of the incredible amount of equity I have in it (simple numbers appraisal value when I bought it-what I bought it for=FWD Acadia SLE; market value based on what a couple of houses down the block sold for-what I bought it for=2008 CTS) and the fact that they're doing a lot of improvements on my side of town, so I'm going to rent it out then rent someplace at school. I've been thinking (yeah, yeah-I know :AH-HA_wink: ) Anyways, I've been thinking about what I could replace the wagon with. I've seen quite a few 98-01 Blazers around here for sale, with most running between 3-6 grand, and many with 4x4 power... I was thinking about all those jobs that were lost and the people I knew that worked in those plants. The following plants were more special to me than others. I have a love/hate relationship with the car sales business. Always have. Still recent events make me seriously doubt I want to stay at my job for longer than absolutely neccessary. As cool as it is to deal hands on with brand new Cadillacs & Chevrolets the car biz can be so unrewarding. 55-70 hrs a week & for WHAT? The money is not there like it used to be. My aunt & uncle recently have had problems with their brand new Prius. It seem that it quit on them several times while driving. While it's being looked at, the Toyota dealership gave them a new Camry LE as a loaner. Now I have something to admit... I don't think it's a bad looking car.
