Yeah I can't believe I am asking this... Will a 2005 Impala LS with the premium CD player like shown here only with out the tape deck play burned CD's/MP3 formated music say from iTunes? I think it works in my Bonneville and never tried in the Torrent because I know it can't at least I think, because it was the standard l-cheapo cd-deck and its has an AUX input for my Nano. What "gets your attention" but is completely different than what you'd normally go for? In other words, what says "hey, I'm worth a second look", despite being a configuration you generally wouldn't consider? I ask this because I think that is where the winners in the market are to be found. I'm not saying that you'd necessarily follow through with a purchase of a given example, but that it engenders a level of positive respect that you can't quite deny. An example of such a product that just barely fits this category for me is the Ford Flex - it is interesting and individual enough that I have to give it some credit. A BPG dealer I've had contact with over the past 5-6 months regarding some of their used/GM Certified inventory has had the following 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi sedan available for the past two months now: It has a tad less than 71k original miles on it, is a fully loaded SSEi model, and from the pictures and e-mails I've received from the sales lady, the car is in excellent condition for its age. The price they're asking is a little high IMO, but as with all used cars I'm sure it could be negotiated to something better. The Cruze is being introduced to the US in 2010 and so is BAS II. GM has stated that BAS II is platform flexible, unlike BAS I. The press release and interviews about BAS II seemed to focus alot around the use of a turbo with the system. Could GM be "smart" enough to introduce BAS II with the Cruze? What about the Orlando? If the combined gas mileage for a 1.4L Turbo Cruze was 32 mpg, which is not unreasonable considering statements made by the company, than a Cruze with the 1.4L Turbo, with flexfuel capability, and BAS II could/should be 38 to 39 combined mpg. That would provide some major help to GMs EPA #s and would be great PR.

What would it be? Personally, I'd do something like a double feature, with both movies based on the original Smokey and the Bandit. One movie would be similar in spirit to the original film, but feature a different car, altered plot and storylines, and different characters. I went out for a little bike ride to work off last nights cookout, I went on a gravel trail that I've been riding for years. Somehow I managed to wipe out, even better I did it about 4 miles from civilization. I scraped my knees and elbows and managed to not whack my head on anything, which is always a plus. But my bike took a fair bit of abuse. The rear derailleur is all jacked up and the brake cable snapped, so I had to ride 4 miles back to the car without being able to shift and without rear brakes. It was fantastic. Even better, it started pouring on the way back, so I got to do the last mile in the rain, which at least washed all the blood off.

So in addition to tinkering with my car I've started tinkering with my plane. After not one but two crashes yesterday which managed to do a good chunk of damage to the plane, I fixed it up and did another upgrade. It now has larger wheels, because they look cool and more proportionate, but more importantly they make the plane more stable during taxiing, takeoff, and landing on grassy surfaces. Since we always fly in a field, this has made life much easier. Made a huge difference today. Naturally I can't resist an excuse to take photos. Besides, Captainnbooyah wanted to see them.

Well I also updated the orginal forum with the car but decided to start a new topic about this... The 2005 Chevrolet Impala LS as many of you may know that I plan on getting (when his new Impala comes in.) This is only a remote start system no aftermarket alarm or security has been added from Viper or anyone else. This is a Viper remote start system. I've been feeling kind of apathetic lately. My job is "just there." I live for the weekend when I can sleep in and then go out and do stuff or take a day trip. Right now, my trip to 2-week trip to Europe in early July is keeping me going. Hey, folks, the Regal turned 17 today. It's got 255,736 miles. It's now "legal" to watch R-rate movies. With 44,000 extra miles needed, I will keep it to try to make 300,000 miles for the hell of it. It's going to the car wash, before it gets too hot here today. Went to an autox test & tune day yesterday. I made 2 runs, Em (my wife) made 2 runs, and I made one more run. LOVE the new tires! So this was probably a day or so after I bought it and I took it over to my parents for photos. For some reason I didn't look very happy. hahahahaha! What's interesting about this next one was that many years later I ultimately ended up driving that GMC Jimmy that was parked in front of the Camaro in the photo. Hey guys, I've been using my parents' PC, which is infested with the occasional pop-up, and it's driving me insane. The pop-ups are related to whatever website I'm viewing. If I'm on a site about, say, internships, then there will be a Yahoo! Jobs pop-up ad. Sometimes if I click on a link from a Google search, it will automatically take me to a different, spam website. If I click "back" and try again, it's usually okay. So as you may or may not know, I haven't owned a car in over a year. I've been sharing my boyfriend's CRV. I've never been a big fan, but it saves money and we almost never have a conflict on when we need wheels. Over the past year I've kinda just gotten used to it. It's inoffensive in every way. So we looked, then looked at the Cubes before heading back to Lancaster and lucking out at a decent local restaurant for dinner. What'd you guys do for your mothers today?

First big cookout of the year is going on as I type. Hamburgers on the grill, cold beer and other assorted beverages in the cooler, and a nice little fire going in my newly built (literally started yesterday and finished today) fire pit. Marshmallows are being roasted, s'mores are being made. The only way the night could be more perfect is if it were lit by fireflys.

Today was the first day it really felt hot. Car thermometer said 130 when I started, but after a few min w/ the A/C on, it settled down to 100. Though one TV news channel says it was only 98. Well, 6 months of heat begins. Looking forward to getting in pool soon. Supposed to be 102 tomorrow, then cool down to the 90s for a few days.

OK, this is a crazy question. All of my college training deals is ultra-pratical -- how things go together and how to look at/evaluate money. Society stereotypes certain jobs as male (miner) and certain jobs as female (make-up artist), for example. Is there an occupation typical of the other gender that you could do, or would do? So its that time of year. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I've caught some of the playoffs, as a Chicago native its nice to see the Blackhawks playing decently. But on the NBA side, this has been amazing. If you guys haven't been paying attention, the Bulls and Celtics are playing probably the greatest 7-game series I've ever seen. 6 games, 7 overtime periods, amazing play by both teams. I cant wait for Game 7.

Looking for some verified, SPECIFIC dates: When was Saturn announced ? I have a clipping of then-POTUS Reagan driving a GM concept that looks like a red banana, it's captioned as a "Saturn concept", but it's wearing a Bowtie. Recently, I've had a guy inquire about my front fender. He's all the way over in Washington state. Talks of shipping have been going on and I'm not entirely sure how to do this for a reasonable price. The length, width, and height are very close to putting it over UPS/FedEx's limit for a large package, which adds a $45 upcharge to an already high price due to distance. I'm not entirely sure I can find a box that will be under the said limit and still be able to fit the fender. Weight-wise, it's just under 10 lbs. Is there any way I can ship this without getting him raped on fees and not likely to go through with the purchase?

I fly back to Germany this weekend to start my new job @ BMW ... I look forward to starting a new automotive chapter in my life ... While visiting with the owner of my local Chevy Dealer, the subject of GM's future came up. He stated that with 40% of GM dealers being closed, it will be impossible for GM not to file for BK. He stated that GM could not get enough government cash, and doesn't have enough lawyers to cover all of the potential law suits.
