If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise. Since GMTruckGuy74 started spilling spoilers because he wanted to talk about the movie, and since those of us who have seen it are probably dying to talk about it, I made this thread so we can discuss it without ruining the movie for everyone who hasn't seen it yet. At least, that's the idea I'll start. Do you think we've seen the last of him? If history is any indication, I doubt it. Even with the water pressure 7 miles below sea level, I doubt it would be enough to crush him and the others..plus he has a general knack for coming back…

  17. Would there still be any interest in certain circles of enthusiasts for original parts catalogs on microfiche, or has the internet's easy access of information pretty much killed said interest? I remember a time not so long ago when people would search high and low for the little envelopes full of slides, but is that still true today? The reason I ask is I have some that I'm looking to get rid of, but am wondering what would be a reasonable price to ask for it all.

  32. I'm in DC all this week. I arrived on Sunday. In the two and a half days I've been here I've seen 6 new Toyota Avalon taxi cabs in black or beige just in the small 10 block radius I'm staying. They haven't been beat to hell and back...... yet......but I wonder how they'll hold up over time. Interestingly, DC must not have the age or mileage laws for Taxi cabs as NYC because I have seen a number of B-body wagons from all 3 divisions that made them still chugging about. On my way back from lunch, I was passed by a Custom Bruiser in surprisingly good condition for any 14 year old car, much less a cab.

When we featured the car in 2008, it was running low 10s in the quarter-mile and achieving more than 30 mpg at Hot Rod magazine’s Drag Week—and that was just the start. Later, a Gear Vendors Overdrive was added to the 4L80E transmission, the engine was hopped up a bit more and given larger doses of nitrous, and the entire combination was fine-tuned. Then Mike went racing. Although not as publicized as they perhaps should have been, …

So it's time for me to start thinking about what I want to do for full-time, for a living. A short while ago, I went for an interview with a major financial institution, and I was accepted and offered a position as a trainee analyst. However, the job isn't really exactly what I want to do for a living, *cough* programming and application development *cough* *cough*, and I honestly can say I totally suck at the stuff. I haven't taken the offer yet, I still have until December to decide whether I want to take the offer. The lady who interviewed …

  73. Ever sign up for something, but not really pay attention to it? I've had a US Airways Frequent flyer account for years now and I also have the Credit card that goes with it. I've never bothered checking my mileage balance until tonight.... I have two free domestic flights or one flight to Europe! So... San Diego + second trip to some other city? or Koln Germany with a trip to the Nurgburgring?

Rain rain & more rain... makes for a wet & damp roadtrip. As some of you know I attended a Nissan Club Meet at the Grafton Lakes State Park, NY this past weekend. It was raining when I left Mass, it rained the WHOLE time I was there and rained even heavier on the way back. Western Mass & NY better have some sick May Flowers this year, that's all I have to say. The Meet was fun but the cars and events were dismal. The lack of attendance was chalked up to the crappy weather but the people who did show up were cool so it was a fun roadtrip. As it turned out, most of the guys there were from Altimas.net but the mix of cars was pretty hilarious. 3…

Last Wednesday my gf and I went to an auto auction. We sat in an drove many vehicles. Some were good some were not so good and some were pretty horrible. There were a couple GM cars I saw and looked at. a previous gen Grand Prix, and a 90's Seville. I didn't get to test drive either, but I did sit in them. The Caddy was nice, with plenty of soft materials and so on. I've always been a fan of the styling, but it's not a car I could afford, so I passed on it. The Grand Prix was probably in my price range...but I just could get get by the interior. Now, I can put up with a lot...but the plastics and the switchgear were just awful. Ugly, cheap, and squeaky are some good ad…

Wow, it's been a rough week... My mom has gone in for quite a few tests on her heart within the last week or so...including yesterday and today. Good news is that everything is good. I've really been worried the last few days..... She has a few more tests, but the important ones have been good....

Well... Today's my brother's birthday, he turned 14. I still remember that morning like it was yesterday- I spent the night at my grandparents place and we rushed over to the Rockyview Hospital in their then new Emerald Green 1994 Neon Sport Sedan (with the automatic) so I could see my new baby brother... We were trying to meet my dad but when he was going down an elevator we were going up and vice versa- my grandfather was 65 then. Today, in that very hospital, two floors above the maternity ward, my grandfather lies suffering from congestive heart failure and a collapsed lung at age 80 (He's fine for now)... We're not sure what's the cause but they think it's a leaky …

I hear the work load is crazy, but the education is second to none with the entertainment industry in their backyard... levi strauss, Billabong, The Gap and many other brand's are located in and around the greater San Fransisco area... L.A., OC, and Sandiego have a ton of respectable names as well... has anyone in here visited the campus... ? Just curious, take care. Some random sketches.

I've been saying I'd get these uploaded since I joined the site in 2004. Well here they are: several videos of how I occasionally abuse my poor Camaro. The car is tough as nails, unrestored, pretty rough cosmetically and pretty much all of the mechanical hardware is factory save for the crate motor. Enjoy.... & let's see your own shenanigans too! * these are all only 15 sec. quicktime movies with no sound. They were taken with my ancient Nikon digital camera. This footage was taken at the same place where I did my burnout photo that got published in Car Craft. As a matter of fact this was only about 2 months after that photo was taken. July of 2004 or …

Last year I gave some friends of mine a crack pipe for Christmas. Neither of them are what you would call a crack head. The husband has never so much as drank alcohol, his wife was a bit of a pothead when I first met her (I've known her longer than him) but she doesn't do it now. Its in a box somewhere now, I thought they should have put it on the tree as an ornament.
