About two months ago I started to get terrible pains on the right side of my abdomen, at first I ignored them as most men would do, but they persisted. I waited to see if they would go away but they only got worse as time wore on. Not being the kind of person that sticks his head in the sand, I took medical leave and decided to come back to the United States to see what the hell was going on with me. I decided to grab the bull by the horns as it were, and I scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist (sp?). The night before my procedures, I got the choice of two lovely prep kits to start the ball rolling as it were. The 1st prep kit you had to mix a gallon of cle…

First off... how old am I? Second... what is she trying to tell me? She's seen the previews for Brokeback Mountain? She consciously knows where I'm coming from? It's all a big mystery....

Expected to bow later this year to replace the aging 2012 Lexus ES (which first debuted for 2007), the new car will reportedly be wider and longer than the current model in an effort to better compete against rivals like the LaCrosse and Acura TL . I much prefer the ones we have up here in Canada, where we replace all English with icons. Also troublesome is that last time I saw a nice six disc changer unit for cheap, but I couldn't get it because all the buttons were different, and if I install it, it would look odd. Why don't they just make one radio with different firmware for metric and imperial units, and bother with the buttons?? Waste of development costs if you ask me.

Police found Frank Kozumplik, 49, homeward bound on a John Deere tractor Saturday night, toting four bottles of wine in a paper bag, officials said. He told officers his wife had taken their car to work and the mower was the only way he could reach the store, three kilometres from home. His blood alcohol level was 2½ times Michigan's legal driving limit of 0.08 per cent, police told WLEN-FM. They arrested him and confiscated the mower…

It seems the forum software has been getting a little FUBAR here lately. First, my account was mysteriously deleted recently. Second, my PM inbox has been acting up and deleting new messages after I respond to them, and there are no copies of the PMs I send in my sent items folder. Third, the site seems to "stall" at times; meaning it doesn't load after a long period of time then re-loads as soon as I hit refresh, although slowly. And now I've been seeing this little oddity ... Anyone been encountering anything strange on the forums here lately?

I was driving home after work today when I saw an odd-looking car/truck waiting to pull out into traffic. In profile, it looked like a Holden Ute except shorter. It looked like it was from the 90s. As I drove by, I saw it had a Chevrolet badge with a ring around the bowtie. Anybody know what this could be? Something from a Latin American market?

I've been spending much of my time this month in this shop wrenching on these cars. Today I was working on the red and white car and cleaning it up as I go. All of the wheelwell areas and engine compartment was as nasty as the driver's side of the compartment still is. Healeys are leaky little buggers. By Wednesday, this car has to be back on its wheels.

Um OK I had a customer come in this afternoon with a Sable, saying someone backed into him in a parking lot. He needed an estimate. He said the hood wouldn't open. I was expecting a need to call for a rental car by his initial description. When I got out there, there was a tiny spot of black rubber residue on his right side fender from the Toyota SUV's tire that backed into him, no dent. I couldn't think of a reason why the hood would be affected from such miniscule contact, so I stood at the hood and asked the customer to pull the release while I pulled out every trick I could think of to persuade the hood to open. Nothing worked. I asked the customer to trade …

From a Buick 8. If you haven't read this, do yourself a favor. As with other Stephen King books, it's very well written. And if you think a Buick is for Grampy and Granny, this will sure as hell change your mind. The story centers around the ultimate Buick from hell. A '54 Roadmaster with a dummy V8 engine, a dash meant for show, a key that cannot start any car of our imagination, a deap blue paintjob that's restant to all dirt and other Earthly substances and able to heal scratches (my, my, wouldn't we love to have that feature standard on a new Impala), fat ass whitewalls able to spit even the smallest grain of sand out of their treads, a steering…

It will going without saying that Josh and a few others will predictably HATE this stuff. This era reminds me of everybody having a Cutlass Supreme coupe, bad clothes, Greg Brady hair and a much easier-going and more affordable LA. At work, I will put on the headphones and draft away to Donna Summer's greatest hits and similar stuff - MacArthur Park is her far and away her finest work, IMO. It's great to drive to as well and...no...I've NEVER set foot on a dance floor to this stuff. I know there's a lot of people who hate it. So be it.

  85. It's one of those things that remind you of your own mortality, I guess...a coworker and friend of mine who was only slightly older than I (37) died today at work... they believe it was a heart attack. Found him slumped over in his chair in his cube.

Ok, I'm debating if it is time for a new 3rd car...... Have now: 93 Cavalier wagon, 3.1, 135k, needs new-gas tank(maybe line also) EGR. Rusty, but for the most part, very trusty... Considering: 98 Mailbu,3.1, 72k good shape for age..newer alt, runs pretty good.. dealership wants $4900...should be ablr to talk them into the low 4s.... Could get 600-700 for the wagon....and put a little cash down too... I was planning to fix the wagon, but this had me thinking: Fix the wagon, or just get the Bu'? What do you think?

I just ran some insurance quotes over at Allstate and, I have to ask, does this make any sense to you? *1998 Chevrolet Camaro, V6, Base: $3,150.00 *1998 Pontiac Firebird, V6, Base: $2,760.00 That's right. It's pretty much the same friggen car and the Firebird comes out cheaper on insurance. (And, you know, it never occured to me until just a minute ago to see what a Firebird would cost me on insurance; I thought it would cost around $200 bucks above the Camaro.) Well, folks, looks like I may just be finding a Firebird to drive. That's not a bad insurance rate, really.

Hello. My girlfriend is looking to replace her '99 Cavalier within the next month or two. At first she was thinking of getting a Cobalt, but within the last few days she has shifted over to the G6 (a little of the reasoning being the G6 comes with a dark green exterior color since she likes British Racing Green), but so far she's looking into getting a 4 cyl. sedan (which with all the options and so prices out near $19,000). From fellow G6 owners in here, I'm wondering if you have had any problems/complaints about it, as well as the positives of the G6. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
