When I go to the page, FF just stops. Doesn't even load the address in the bar. I'm on 1.5. Any thoughts? Tony

I posted this on another thread and was told by Northie to post it here. Most of the graphics on the site don't appear, instead I get the dreaded red 'x.' It happens to most of the pictures and all of the icons, even the smilies. Does anyone else have this problem?

Lately, there have been a lot of reposts with debuts, and it is understandable but I think it can be prevented. Reposted topics simply add clutter to the forum and make it hard to navigate at times (and confusion occurs when there are multipul topics because people don't know which they've already posted in). As a result, I, along with other Admins, are going to make an effort to pin topics that we want the discussions to be in. If you find another story about a vehicle that has debuted and you think it is significantly different from what has already posted, please simply post a link to that story, but do not post the whole story in the thread as that requires excess sc…

Can we please get some of our old mods back? I'm missing having "regular" mods, and I'm sure they're missing their positions...

Is it just me or is the text size in the new C&G much smaller? Is there any way i can make it bigger without just changing the text size in my browser?

Moderators need to curb their right to alter or delete posts. Within the last few months, Ninety Eight Regency posted one of his photo parades. I commented on the setting in one photo and said it "looked very Houston TX" (which is where he happens to be from...a metropolis of 4 or so million people). Ninety Eight provided us with some humor in the grandstanding exit/re-entry also exhibited by a few others on here so I get a kick out of such "self-importance." I notice you've sub-divided the "Other Guys" forum. I liked it better the other way since you could see all the news in one bite, without having to enter each subforum. Not only that, but the purpose of the subdivision really makes no sense. One can ascertain the company the post deals with by the thread title. I haven't been here long (and since in the migration, my account was eliminated, I appear to be even newer) but thought you might like a little feedback on the change. Tony

I don't know if you consider other GM fan websites as competition, but I wanted to alert you to "Help Fix GM." To go directly to the website, click here. At this time, there's not a lot of content, but mostly a request for ideas to, as the name says, help fix GM. Would you ever consider a merger between C&G, GMI, and Help Fix GM? (Hey, if nowadays people suggest that GM merge with anyone and everyone... ) Just think of how you could reduce the cost of bandwidth with united buying power. Just think of how you could triple the number of complainers. Or silly posts like this one.

I'm pleased to announce that C&G's own GM Economy and Efficiency Guide has been updated to reflect the latest federal information for the 2007 model year. The tab on the top right of forum headings. It lets you either expand or collapse those you do not wish to view. Who cares about the Foreign Exchange? Not I! Same for the Powertrain tech stuff. Pffffft I love it.

Just a couple suggestions. One would be to place the PM box in the upper right corner like it used to be. Everytime I get a PM, I get forced to go to the User CP page to read the full PM where before I could click the PM and it would just link me straight to the new message I received (inside the User CP). Also, I noticed on cobaltss.net that they have a very useful drop-down menu in the top left corner of all the forum pages where you can skip right to the forum you want to go to. It's really nice to use sometimes instead of going to the forum home page, then searching for the right forum. Damn it, I'm getting lazy.

I realize that a lot of other sites allow people to recieve feeds. I think it would be a great feature for the site. Anyone agree?

Just a suggestion but I feel it would be a good idea to extend the forum width to 97% or 98%. The important content is in a box that's too narrow with the sidebar on the right. It's just wasted space on either side - might as well utilize it...

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to relocate the forum information section (which encompasses "Site News/Updates" and "Forum Feedback") to the top of the forums. I think it would make the member concerns and staff members' announcements more visible and people may pay more attention to them. Just a thought.

Several other websites have a link to be able to allow a user to go back to previous posts, instead of having to search thru topic titles.. In some cases you may not even remember the topic title, but would like to go back to it, and see what responses may have been added. Another fast connection link needed is current topics, instead of, again, having to search thru the whole format.

Just got some insider info from a friend who works at Hyundia. He said some models are showing advanced rust to the sub frames and control arms. These are not 10 year old cars either. He did not give me the model names in the e mail but will post them when I find out. He said the fix right now is to drill the frame, hit it with a hammer to break lose the rust and then pump it full of wax. Needless to say he was not impressed with the fix. Might want to see if anyone else speak of this since it has not been reported in the press.

I don't know what happened but about ten or eleven of my posts have disappeared. Anybody know what happened? Did I miss something?
