The Ram Power Wagon is one of the most capable off-road trucks on the market today. For 2017, RAM has redesigned the Power Wagon. The Ram gains the Ram 1500 Rebel grille, enlarging it for 2500 use. Six colors will be available along with additional custom colors and graphics. BMW's march of the diesels will continue at the Chicago Auto Show next month as they will unveil the first 7-Series with a diesel for the U.S. market. Meet the 2014 740Ld xDrive. The 740Ld xDrive comes will utilize a 3.0L inline-six diesel engine producing 255 horsepower and a mighty fine 413 pound-feet of torque that peaks between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic and BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. Last week, we brought you a report that said General Motors was going to send the Chevrolet Bolt into production by late 2016. Sources said the Bolt and a sister Opel model would be built at General Motors' Lake Orion assembly plant. Kia has made the Chicago Auto Show home of the Soul. Within the past few years, Kia has introduced a number of Soul concepts and the electric version of it. Today, Kia introduced another Soul concept - the Trail'ster. The Trail'ster concept shows what happens when you give the Soul a bit of adrenaline. Nissan is using the Chicago Auto Show to see whether or not it should add another model to their growing NISMO lineup. The 370Z NISMO Roadster concept could be the sister model to the 370Z NISMO coupe. Like the coupe, the 370Z NISMO roadster features a number of aerodynamic parts from the GT-R such as red-accented lip spoiler and rear spoiler. Toyota appears to be taking the 'long-view' with their teaser for the Chicago Auto Show. You can barely make out the 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra in the picture provided. "Toyota will unleash its next batch of trail-ready four-wheelers on February 8th, 9 a.m. CST, at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show," the company wrote in a very short press release. So my wife went and surprised the heck out of me this year for Christmas and purchased 2 tickets to the First Look for Charity event the night before the Chicago Auto show officially opens to the public. Kia claims the Soul EV will have an 80 to 100 mile range while packing one of the most energy dense batteries on the market. Producing 27kWh, the Soul EV's battery has a 200 watt hour per kilogram rating. Spent last night at the Chicago First Look to Charity event and it was a blast. I should have eaten more food and drank more, but so hard to do when you really just want to sit in all the cars and take advantage of not having to wait in a line to get in them. GM's offering was very nice, and I am extremely impressed with the Acadia! I just got back from a long day at the Chicago Auto Show and had a great time! I am exhausted from getting up at 5 AM to pick up others and make the 4 hour drive, so I will add pictures later. I started the day off with Ford, since it was right by the main door directly across from Toyota. Ford had some of the best displays, with plenty of interactive showcases, engine cutaways, and touch screens. Saturday was crowded, so I would highly suggest that anyone who is planning to go to the show go on a weekday. This is a very long write-up, but I hope you at least skim through it. Ok, here goes... What a disappointment when I saw almost the exact same Aura that was there last year. Only changes being those that members of this site have noted in previous posts elsewhere. Lucerne was also somewhat of a let down in person. No folding rear seats and low output HP V6??? Make the V6 at least 240, then keep the 275 Northstar V8. 2010 CHICAGO AUTOSHOW I made my trek to Chicago again today (2/13/10) and armed myself with my trusty Pentax K-100D and 18-55mm along with a 2GB San Disk SD Ultra II. Nissan rolled out a pair vehicles today at the Chicago Auto Show that show a somewhat sporty side. The first is the 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR which is somewhat sporty-ish. The SR adds revised front fascia with smoked headlamps, standard foglamps, and black chrome accents. Along with the changes to front, the SR comes with a dark-finished sixteen-inch wheels, revised mirrors, side sills, and a new rear spoiler. What is Ram Planning for the 2011 Chicago Auto Show? Posted by Mike Levine | February 7, 2011 By the time you read this post, we'll probably be on our way to the 2011 Chicago Auto Show where Ram is expected to unveil "a truck aimed at carpenters, plumbers and other tradesmen," according to Automotive News. We don't have any more information to share, for now. The Ram folks are being very tight-lipped about their scheduled press conference on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. Central.
