JUST KIDDING! Actually yesterday I witnessed a miracle. I went out in the morning and got some "Marvell's Mystery Oil" and two sets of spare keys made for the Super 88. When I came home there were some sun showers and then it got overcast. I was on the fence about weather or not to work on the car finally. After about 25 minutes I have the 2-4-6-8 valve cover off and I pour some of the Mystery Oil on #2 & 8 cylinders. Those two supposedly have no compression. I call my friend Kevin outside. (he was talking to Marcia inside) I had him crank the car with the valve cover off so I can see what's what. The #2/4/6/8 spark plugs have no wires, and as he c…

Okay, here's what I need/want, followed by the reasons: I need a quiet, comfortable ride. After a loud day with students, I really enjoy a bit of solitude in my car. I love road trips and will be commuting a bit, so comfort is necessary. I'm tall, so leg room needs to be adequate in the front seat. I don't need the most-intense stereo, but quality of the sound is important. I feel any stereo in the Buick, Chevy or Saturn would meet my needs, and the Accord's stereo I've heard and it's sufficient for my needs. 2007 LaCrosse CXL: The LaCrosse would allow me to have a quiet, smooth ride, conservative looks and a nice build quality. The engine and tranny would be …

It will most likely be a GM because they are cheaper. 97-03 Malibu 95-99 Aurora 00-03 Cavalier/Sunfire 99-04 Grand Am 93-98 Bonneville 94-2000 Concorde/ LHS 87-92 Blazer/Jimmy 2 door 99-04 Alero any other suggestions? BTW, it should look good between our two beasts, LOL.

But I was knocked into a curb and fell off my bike onto the sidewalk. And this was UW Ring Road, with a speed limit of 20km/h. He was more like going 50. Add 2 scratches + 2 blood injuries for me...

Previous research found significant effects of ESC in reducing the risk of fatal single-vehicle crashes. With $ 3 + a gallon gas, who isn't concerned about gas mileage. My current car, at 14 years and 225,000 miles, still gets what was posted on the window sticker...about 18 in town and 28 on a road trip. It still gets that 28....amazing. Cautiously, I'm looking at new cars. I've been out of town the last 3 weekends, so I've had the opportunity to rent. I had a GP as a rental in Florida. On a road trip across the lower part of the state, the 3800 returned 27.7 mpg (with the AC on the whole time and some non-freeway driving). This past weekend, I was in L.A. I wanted a Monte 3.5 to see the mpg, but they gave me an Impala 3.5. UNBELIEVABLE. From LA to Santa Barbara a…

The Ben Roethlisbeger deal is just another example of the ludicrous nature of people not wearing helmets riding a motorcycle. Its time to mandate it. You will not avoid an accident. Chances are good you will take a dive at some point. The pavement is hard. Its harder than just about anything else you can think of. Maybe it doesn't look cool. But neither does an egg splattered across the pavement.

This morning, my friends and I were witness to one of the coolest things in my area for some time. The local mothballed coal fired plant called Lakeview, a long-standing waterfront landmark in Toronto's west end, had its smoke stacks toppled! It looked surreal in person. They fell in a semi-slow-motion way, with a loud thud and plumes of smoke. Check out the videos shot by CTV News : http://toronto.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTV...hub=TorontoHome

So.. I know what you're all thinking.. And I'm thinking the same. I love my Camaro, I really do. I love most everything about it. However, it's wearing on me and isn't as fresh as it was 2 years ago when I started driving, much less 6 years ago when we bought it. What's bugging me about it? Read on. Let's date back to when we bought this thang: almost exactly 6 years ago. Since the first day we had it in the garage, it has had a very slight oil leak. I'm talking about maybe one drip of oil on the garage floor after each time of taking it out for a drive. Not a big deal, no, but it does mean that my rear main is bad. But.. we fixed that with the engine rebuild, right? …

Alright... Each year, Brookville host's the week long Laurel Festival on Main Street. It officially starts tomorrow, monday morning. Well, being that it's really the only thing worth coming to Brookville for, other than the Labor Day homecoming in nearby Knox Dale, I thought I'd see if anybody wanted to meet there. I mean, might as well come to Brookville to see me sooner or later. And plus it's a car show that closes down Main St... Who can go wrong with that? You could even enter it if you wanted. A while back, my neighbors put their little house cat outside because she "attacked" their daughter (I think it may have been the other way around, but I digress). She was in heat. So of course a tomcat got to her and knocked her up... she was a homeless little girl in trouble. They put food out for her, but didn't let her back inside any more. She's been hopping over from their deck to mine from time to time if she knows my door is open. She'd been trying to get into my house. I've been petting her and being nice to her, but I didn't want to let her in. I had the door open this morning, she heard me through the screen door, so she hopped over and started crying he…

With all these "car shopping" threads in here lately, I thought I'd try one with a cool car in it for a change. So I'm going along my training route on the bicycle on Thursday when I see this early 2nd gen Camaro sitting on some guy's front lawn for sale. I didn't get a very good look at it, but I knew how to get to it for when I could take a longer look. Today, I'm in the neighborhood and I swing by to see if I can talk to the owner and get a better idea of the car's condition. To keep things short, here's the data: It's a '72 Camaro - the typical early '70s dark brown with black stripes. My guess is, it's not a Z/28 or SS, but it has the split bumper Looks to be …

I have always loved the 2-door Tahoes and Yukons but searching for them online is a hassle. They always slip between the cracks in any search and I end up entering every configuration of 2-door Tahoe(Yukon) as in 2dr Tahoe, 2-door Tahoe, Tahoe 2-door, etc. or sifting through thousands of 4-doors just to find a handful of 2-door listings. What a PITA! So, if you run across any let me know.

Well, since the crash I knew I was going to need to get a new car, its inevitable. Since the crash I've been driving around in a less than perfect 1992 Honda Accord LX 2-door 5-speed. I figured that as long as I had it I wouldn't need to make a rash decision on a new car and I'd be able to save some money up, put some money towards baby-related stuff and get my finances in order before deciding on how much and what I want. Well, last night the Accord lost second gear (it just grinds when I try to put it in second, makes driving interesting) and I dont have high hopes for the rest of the car. So I figured that I would take suggestions/comments from the peanut gallery b…

Company paid for it so I took the opportunity to come down to LA and get some continuing education credits at the AIA (read "geek") convention. SENSORY OVERLOAD..not the convention but LA, rather. The convention is at the Convention Center downtown. Since I can't come up with $2k... I'm stranded with only $2600 to buy a vehicle. I'm suspecting my parents would atleast be able to help me out a little bit, so I'd say my limit is $3k. What can I get for a lousy $3k? Give me suggestions. However, I'm still going to continue to be picky. I will only consider cars with 4cyls, manual trannies, and two doors. I might consider a sedan depending on what it is. That means... no floaty Buicks and such. As far as reliability... f@#k it. As long as the car itself runs good, I'll deal with it regardless of it's reputation.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. Coming home from work yesterday, traffic was slowing as is normal during rush hour. I was in the fast lane, having just slowed from 60+ miles per hour to about five. I didn't even see it coming behind me - a woman in a white 96 Maxima didn't notice that traffic had slowed, and plowed into the back of a Land Rover Discovery, who must have been right on my tail. He smashed into my car, and dazed, I rolled into the guy in front of me: This is the guy who hit me. Not too bad - he did break his washer fluid resovoir: This is what he did to me: And this is from me hitting the guy in front of me. The nose of my car is actually n…

I got myself out of bed early Wednesday morning to get a haircut before work. I got to the barber shop, noted the people ahead of me (couple of middle-aged guys, an older gentleman and his grandson, about 5-8 years old), and plopped down in a chair to "rest my eyes". Within minutes, the TV blared a promo for the new movie, "Cars". My ears perked slightly, in part because I'm eager to see this movie. The promo ended, and I went back to "resting my eyes", though not for long. Within seconds, a voice piped up: "That movie doesn't look good." Suddenly, my dreary eyes were not so dreary anymore. I looked at the young kid who had just uttered those words. While my mind…

Every Friday, a group of us at work head out for lunch at a nearby steakhouse. Recently, a new Chili's has opened near our work, and we had talked about trying it. Last Friday, as we walked out to the parking lot to head out ("my" guy Ryan and another friend), we discussed where we would go. The other friend and I wanted to go to Chili's, Ryan didn't want to, but he reluctantly agreed we would meet at Chili's, along with two other coworkers. I told Ryan I had to go to the bank, but would meet them at Chili's and I took off in my truck while they waited for the other 2 guys. As I was sitting in Mickey D's this evening being a bad boy eating my quarter pounder, I watched to see who would leave the restaurant and hop in a gray, base model Honda Fit in the parking lot. It was an 80-year-old lady, 95 pounds at most, with a huge hairdo, accompanied by her p.i.m.p., a dude who was at least 80 and walking pretty slowly. Has the "Fit is Go!" ad campaign fallen on (nearly) deaf ears? Is every "hip, young" Japanese car doomed to congregate at Friday Night Bingo at the VFW? I find this phenomenon pretty amusing.

Since all of us planned to go around on vaction for the next week we decided to go north up into canada and camp way up there are goal was to go up into the northren territories. Well some where in northren canada there was F*cking snow still on the ground so the first 2 nights where pretty cold while i heard it rained and was hot down here. On the third day we went driving around and we came across some very nice 4 lane hiway with a cement divider and all. It was pretty…

Today on my way back from school I saw a 2007 Acura RDX proto. It had black tape over the rear lights and badges but it was silver. It looked pretty good but I didnt see too much of the front. I sucks how when you see something like that and dont have a camera on you. That happened when I saw a red '66 Cadillac Limo in my town. I guess the RDX was testing because we are only about half an hour from the Alliston Honda Plant.

Doesn't the radio look like it is too far of a reach from the driver in the 2007 Tundra. I thought this from day 1. Here is the pic. Does anyone think this as well?

Lately i've been digging Atreyu, they seem a lil' emo i guess, but they don't whine and actually have metal vocals and guitar solos.

OK, so yeah i'm bored , but anyway do you like where you currently live? If not, where would you perfer to move too? Me personally I love living in Fort Worth, however with the way its expanding rapidily I think a place out in the country, but close to the city would be nice for the future.

There is a video on VVCARS.COM where it shows Chery's design studio. If you look closely at some parts, you can see a design of the Volkswagen Touareg. The other one shows the Mazda Kusabi clearly and if you look to the right of the designer's ear, you can see the Chevy SS. I can understand if this is for inspiration but Chinese cars have a bad history for copying other cars. To see this, go to the website and click on Factory. There will be a video and if you pause it, you can see some of them.

Not sound like I am pulling a Frank and talking about how awesome a chick is but I always find it odd how things have a way of coming back full circle. I've been feeling a little down in the dumps as of late when it comes to snaggin' the tang and I've quickly been searching for a pick me up. First, the ex has been blowing up the phone for the last two days. This after proclaiming to me that she is "taken" and is "loyal" to her new man. Pfffft on that I say. I'm a firm believer that a monomigous relationship no longer exists in this world. Last night she wanted to head to the bar, blah blah but this guy is laying off of the "scene" for awhile. The kicker came y…

17 terrorists were arrested today. They had 3 tonnes of Ammonium nitrate which is 3 times the amount of the Oklahoma City bombing. The police said they won't release the targets. They also had a cellphone detonator it looked like. They were all form Canada and someone apparently worked for Atomic Energy Canada.

For those who don't know: '98 Camaro 3.8L auto with cam (pushrods/valvesprings too), headers, 3.73/limited slip, intake/exhaust, tune. Well, tonight was the first time I floored the Camaro now that she has over 350 miles on the rebuild (starting the night, I'd say about 300). So, I start toolin' around to feel the extra power by myself without trying to race anybody. Well, needless to say, my buddy's Neon totally got whomped on even when he tried and he was speechless by how much faster my car got since the rearend, cam, headers, and tune. So then there's a really loud Fox Body Mustang who keeps looking over at me while hitting it. Well, everytime he hits it, his whol…

Okay, yesteraday after giving the Dakota a good exterior cleaning at the car wash, I notice some pretty nasty areas on the roof and hood of the truck. Here. Take a look for yourself. The hood: The roof: Another part of the roof: Okay, yeah, I guess it could be much worse, but this still requires new paint on the roof and hood. I mean, just look at the roof. It's stripped down to the primer in one spot. I guess what I need to ask is, what will it cost to get the roof and hood repainted?

We know who you hate on C&G (sort of) so who do you hate outside of C&G? I would stab the following people in the face*: Bryan Adams John Basedow John Stamos Chris Berman Dick Cheney Thats all I can think of right now. *I do not condone violence towards anyone, but these people really annoy me and I make an effort to avoid them.

I guess now would be the perfect time to admit that I am only a 15 yr. old boy and the breeze and saturn are my parent's cars, but I have a great deal of care for them.... Anyway, my dad was driving home from work(its raining) and he went to turn off of sunrise highway at our exit and some guy in a little toyota ramed the breeze in the rear passenger side door....the whole door is caved in(luckily no interior damage or window damage) but the panit is all scraped up and I cant even call it a dent it is so big...Thank god for insurance! The police said that the accident was the other guys fault. *pics coming soon*

There is a club holding an event at the St.Thomas racetrack for Cavaliers and GM compact cars. The article from CanadianDriver states that GM will show off vehicles there including the SATURN AURA. I think I know where I'm going on Saturday. it is not to far from St.Thomas, Ontario which is fairly close to Buffalo and even Michigan if you dont mind the drive. It is probably a 2 1/2 drive from Detroit. Read the article to see where it is and it gives a link to the track's website. This would be great even for a little C&G meet if people show up. Here is the link. Gm Compact Car Show Details

This is the Official Chat Thread. Here, we should be able to plan Chat Nights and such or let fellow members when you are or will be in the Chat Room. I figure this would be a good idea to hopefully bring some life to the usually boring Chat Room. Also to maybe bring the time that which everyone shows up down a bit. Staying up past midnight because that's when it's most active is getting old. Anyways, sticky please? I assume this is more important than the index of Camino's old rides... Oh and BTW, get in the Chat Room now! I'm in there... now! It's time to chat... now! NOW!

When I was unsure about my sexuality... well, more or less unwilling to admit that I was gay, I had my fair share of girlfriends. Well, as I looked in the local Newspaper, I notice one that I probably would have ended up going out with again if I had turned out to be straight. It was for the upcoming Laurel Queen Pageant for Brookville's annual Laurel Festival. My jaw dropped as I saw her pic and read about her... My, how I have ignored what a talented and beautiful woman she has grown into. But, I'm gay... and I'd have it no other way. Still... for the breeders... "Mekka D, is the 16 year old daughter of Scott and Honey D (rest edited out) of Brookville. She is a jun…

So today around 2pm I gave XP a ride to work after he put the Cutlass on my front lawn with a for sale sign. We notice that there's a '97/'98 Honda Accord in the parking lot at Dounkin Donuts in Drum Hill Chelmsford with what looks like a broken tie-rod, I pulled in to investigate and this is what I saw. I laughed and took the photos as I asked the kid WTF happened, he says "it just let go as I turned the wheel... the axle slipped right out & the suspension just snapped" As I walked away I said lound enough for him to hear... "Gotta love those Hondas, next time go for RWD." Then I got inside my RWD Q45 and drove away laughing my @$$ off as I told …

It's me! Cory! I'm back! For the time that I was away I really got to realize a few things. First of all, I'd like to apologize to everyone. Since being on medication I've been... like my old self in ways that I'm not proud. It's like I... de-matured with this stuff. I had worked hard to change myself a while ago and it seems after all that, I'm going back to how I was before. So... I've realized this and am going to try to get back to where I worked to get myself. I've also realized I love Chris... what would I ever do without him and the book he gave me? Also that I'm in love, get C&G-sick instead of home-sick, and that I lust for so many things... I really want …

Seems like everyone around me lately seems to be picking up some kind of Neon. I'm not sure why though. It started with a coworker picking up a 95. Then my neighbor around the corner picked up a 99. Now a good friend of mine just picked up a 98 Neon with 75k for 900 bucks (not bad, I say) for a beater. Now he wants me to get one to replace the aged cav wagon.... THough it did get me thinking... The wife had a 95, which had issues to last the least..(head gasket (twice), elec. issues, ate batteries.... Aside from the issues though, it was fun to drive (and even more fun to abuse toward the end) and it got kick butt milage...even while putting 2-3 quar…

Okay, I'm working my ASS off today at work and check my phone to see what time it is... Well it shows that I have a text, so I read it and it says this: The police are looking 4 a suspect described as sexy, funny & great in bed. Your ugly ass is safe but where should i hide? And I just died laughing. Imagine getting that exact message when you're in the middle of working harder at work than you have in the last 4+ months! :rotflmao:
