I saw a Holden Suburban today, nothing more than a rebadged Chevy Suburban they even kinda just welded the Holden badge on the front, with one odd twist. The dash is from a Chevy Blazer. I was checking through Craigslist, which is pretty addictive if you ask me, and came across this ad 1989 Camaro Yeah, I know, it's another 3rd gen Camaro. But, but, but, it's another convertible. It looks damn nice and the price is very reasonable. The only problem is that I have a full driveway already, not to mention garage. So finally my girlfriend was able to find the school bus that witnessed the accident a few weeks ago. She was able to get the info of it down (the plate, bus number and the company it belonged to). went to a classic car auction this weekend with my day and saw a few nice cars and some... well not so nice. some of the cars not seent so much and two that were down right rare. on a side note got to meet David Pearson too, very interesting fellow. first up is a 1957 pontiac safari chiefton station wagon. had three row seats and airconditioning. i must say never seen a pontiac station wagon in person, prolly wont see another in a long time. the second is a 1969 buick GS california. 350 with an automatic on the column. enjoy.

My Acadia has the power tailgate, which I love for when I have three 150+ lbs dogs on leashes and need to load them into the back. Today, I was arranging boxes of stuff in the rear cargo area with the tailgate open. My daughter had the other set of keys and thought it would be funny to close the tailgate on dear old Dad. I was listening to my iPod at the time and did not hear the audible warning that the tailgate was closing. I only realized it was closing when I felt it hit by rear end, stop, and then raise back up. Stopped by the dealer, for the first time in a LONG time (Saturn, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac) to get my first good look at an Astra. I saw them filming this over a month ago on Angeles Crest; they really do test these cars hard. And I have to agree with their verdict... minivans might be uncool, but they're unbeatable in terms of packaging and carlike handling. ...potholes. Yes, potholes ... those unsightly, menacing, treacherous holes in the roadway that absolutely love to feast on tires and suspension systems. I don't know about YOUR area, but in Chicagoland ... potholes seem to have overtaken the area roadways.
