Subaru finally has a configurator page up on their site for the 2012 Impreza. If you're bored or the least bit curious, have at it. Two-tone is available on the Sport Premium 5-door, just like the Outback Sport of yore. That's the one I configured, in dark gray monochrome with upgraded Kicker speakers, all-weather floor mats and auto-dim mirror with compass... $21,900+. Not too bad.

My current automotive obsession is the Subaru Crosstrek. Last time I was close to one was in 2013 before I bought my VW Beetle TDi. I test drove one. At that point, it was mostly the interior that turned me off, with a huge percentage of hard, black plastic that conveyed a dismally cheap, drab feeling. Since then, improvements have been made inside the vehicle, along with a minor freshening on the outside... plus I swear I'd call this new color Petty Blue. It looks really good on this little CUV. Subaru calls it Hyper Blue.

Trying to haul some scrap materials to my cousin and would tow it with https://www.subarupartspros.com/sku/l101sxc004.html. Any ascent owners who tried towing? Would extending until 2,500 be okay? Not sure if that hitch is okay to use or what other tow kit I should use. I think this would be helpful when just carrying some equipment here in our house.

Spied: Japan-Spec Refreshed Subaru Legacy The 2007 Legacy for Japan is the 2008 Legacy for us. The Legacy has still been spared from the horror that is the Alfaesque grille that adorns the Tribeca and Impreza (which, if you're using the Tribeca as a comparison point, is a good thing). I'm not quite sure what to think of this one. Subaru seems a little lost as far as their styling is concerned lately. I don't think it's as bad as the current Impreza sedan, but it's not the winner I was hoping they would come out with either. I have a feeling that Subaru will continue to be a bit player in the auto market based on this car; maybe they actually prefer it that way. I would like to see them make a bigger impact in the market because I have always viewed them as a somewhat quirky underdog. This product doesn't appear to have the goods to do the job. Subaru has announced pricing for the upcoming 2017 Impreza sedan and hatchback. The sedan kicks off at $19,215 and the hatchback starts at $19,715 (prices include an $820 destination charge). Subaru hasn't forgotten about their performance models if two new special editions are anything to go by. Today, Subaru unveiled the 2018 BRZ tS and WRX STI RA that will go on sale early next year. The BRZ tS (tuned by STI) is said to deliver "the highest level of “fun to drive” and “pure handling delight” through greater flexibility, better control and stability." If you were hoping this would include more power, then we have some bad news for you as the tS doesn't see any increase in power. The Outback has been one of Subaru's legendary vehicles since it became a trim line on the Subaru Legacy Wagon in 1994 and a model in its own right in 1999. Motor Trend has found out from a Subaru spokesperson the next WRX will use a 2.0L turbo variant of the FA20 engine found in the new BRZ. AutoGuide recently found patent filing in Japan for a possible hardcore version of the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota GT86. The filing features renderings of a coupe with a new front end, large rear wing, and a new set of wheels. New York - Subaru unveiled the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker to a packed crowd as the New York International Auto Show this morning. The Trailseeker is Subaru's first fully in-house electric vehicle and Subaru promises another electric SUV, likely based on this same platform, later this year. The Trailseeker come standard with Subaru's legendary Symetrical All-Wheel Drive system with dual motors placed at the front and rear of axles. With around 375 horsepower available, the Trailseeker is rated to tow 3,500 lbs. Last month, Subaru moved 9,366 Foresters, representing a 65.3% increase when compared to last year. However, Subaru is worried they might not have enough stock of Foresters to keep up with the demand. Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, CEO of Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru's parent company) tells the Wall Street Journal the company originally targeted 8,000 monthly sales, but the SUV could eclipse 10,000 this month. "If this situation persists, we'll face a supply shortage," said Yoshinaga. At the moment, Subaru dealers currently have a 16 day supply of Foresters. …

Ford's announcement of dropping most of their lineup of traditional cars likely caused a number of automakers to consider doing something similar. One automaker that will not be doing this is Subaru. Subaru will be launching their first plug-in hybrid for the U.S. later this year and plans on offering a full electric vehicle in 2021. But to pull both of these off, Subaru is enlisting various automakers to help.
