A precious little girl walks into a pet shop and asks in the sweetest little lisp, "Excuthe me, mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?" As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees, so that he's on her level, and asks, "Do you want a widdle white wabby or a thoft and fuwwy bwack wabby or maybe one like that cute widdle bwown wabby over there?" She, in turn blushes, rocks on her heels, puts her hands on her knees, leans forward and says in a quiet voice, "I don't fink my pet python weally gives a thit.

I have been laptop hunting in addition to my Macbook which has 2GB of ram Duo Core Intel based Mac from work I want something for home in addition to my two older pc's. I have been thinking about a Lenevo Thinkpad T Series a buisness style notebook. I really don't need much stuff on it but I do want a widescreen and a high rpm hard drive. Also a Core 2 Duo is a must and would like about 2GHZ in that Core 2 Duo. In addition I have a very nice exteral HD (500 GB 1/2 Tera) where I have all my stuff so I don't need a huge hard drive 80gb or 100gb would do. Also I have an excellent dual layer DVD/CD burner that is external so I only need a DVD/CD-RW drive. I also need 2GB of r…

I spent the entire day yesterday on the beach at Assateague, near Ocean City, MD. For my trip home, I decided to come back through my old town of Easton, MD, to check out the GM dealership I worked at for 10 years before moving to PA in 2003. It went out of business and has since been sitting empty, I guess it's been about a year now. I was glad to see an area dealer group's name on the front of the building, and new Chevys and Cadillacs once again sitting for sale out front. I hope they can make a go of it, as the old owners were a local fixture for decades and the location is ideal.

So this Spring I've been working to make our yard a nicer place. The back/side yard has been, since we moved her last year, a barren expanse of mostly dirt and some weeds. That's all changing, as there is now grass growing quite well there, after some tilling, seeding, and watering. Soon it'll be time fort eh first mow. We've been using my Uncle's mower for the rest of the yard, but I want my own. When I was younger I used to fix mowers and I kinda miss doing that. A search on Craigslist lands me a Brute 22" Self-Propelled mower. Owner said he bought it last year and used it until the engine died and the manufacturer wouldn't warranty it, so he decided to get rid of it.…

I'm glad I stumbled upon this site, you guys pretty much have all the latest General Motors news. I'll introduce myself. I'm 21, I just finished college and am now working as a temp at the GM parma stamping plant. The plant had to hire temps because about half of the workers took the buyout and they needed people to replace some of them. We don't make as much as the regular employees ($18.75 an hour plus cost of living, so a total of about 21 an hour) but get no benefits, but its still a damn good wage and its enough that I can afford to pay monthly for my own health insurance. I have quite a few gm workers in my family. My dad is a supervisor at the plant, my grand…

DMT Imagine a world where nothing you know now would exsist. An alternate reality if you will. This is what most people decribe DMT as. It has been dubbed the "businessman drug" because the intense effects only last around 30min. The effects are sudden and without warning, where our reality disappears and you see things that have never exsisted. Could you handle this? Would you try it? Who else thinks this is extremely freaky, but cool at the same time? website with more info Hyperspace

Pretty solid song, except the production makes it sound kind of flat. They need some bigger sounding drums like they used to use. The chorus sounds a little too "modern rock," but the rest of it is great. Anyone notice the "Los Angeles 3:27 AM" bit at the beginning of the video. I think that was taken from the first scene of Terminator 1 when the guy is sitting in the garbage truck as the Terminator timewarps in.

I figured with everything going on, this might be a good question to ask. I know quite a few people who normally buy new cars who haved just bought used cars (and an SUV). Has thst stuff going on changed your plans on what you planned to buy? Right now, it looks to be one new/one used. I really would like to upgrade the wife into something bigger (and to carry more of Zack's stuff), so a used Nox, Torrent or Liberty look like good choices..... As for me, A Cruze, Vibe (not sure why, as the wife no longer wants one), an Astra, and Mazda 3 (the new one) are on the current short list....

Science has discovered the heaviest element yet known to man. The new element is Governmentium (Gv). It has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lefton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons or protons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction normally taking less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete. Gove…

Ok, so I dont think I've mentioned this, but a couple of months ago, my mom decided to take a job in England. She left two weeks ago (my dad is going over after she gets settled and decides if she wants to stay) and was told she was going to need a car. They told her that her Saturn would "make her a target" (it would probably be the only L300 there) and besides that, its was too big. So in the time she isn't spending at work or trying to hook me up with waitresses (I'm never going to go visit if she does that the whole time I'm there) she's been looking for a car. I talked to my dad this morning, and apparently she bought a Corsa, which …

New Samsung BLADE Phone For Sprint

This phone destroys the RAZR in every way imaginable. We knew it would happen sooner or later, and it looks like the FCC has just approved Samsung’s SCH-V740, or “Blade”, cellphone to be sold in the US as the SPH-A900. According to the FCC filing, this dual-band model will debut on the Sprint network, and will sport a swiveling camera, Bluetooth, external display with media buttons, and EVDO. As usual with these FCC docs, important info such as price and release date are unfortunately absent. http://cellphones.engadget.com/entry/1234000190064364/

New spyware could prevent drivers from speeding CTV.ca News Staff Many motorists would balk at the idea of an electronic back-seat driver that forcefully prevents them from speeding. But a new device being road-tested by Transport Canada could mean breaking the speed limit will no longer be an option. Using global positioning satellite technology and a digital speed-limit map, the device makes it difficult for drivers to press down on the accelerator once they go above a certain speed limit. The idea is sure to appeal to many road-safety experts, but the researcher in charge of the project admits some drivers will not welcome the idea of a machine that forces…

Yokohama working on tires designed to move the air Tire design is typically focused on how the rubber interacts with the road, but what about the atmosphere? Yokohama has been developing a new concept tire that can improve both a car’s efficiency and handling by redirecting the air around it. The design involves small fin-like protuberances built into the outside of the tire near its shoulder, where the sidewall meets the tread. (Yokohama) Mounted at alternating angles, when they reach the top of the tire’s rotation they help to reduce aerodynamic drag, which improves high speed fuel economy and, potentially, the top speed of the vehicle. At the bottom,…

Already got a '19 Ram for a Daily (I'll upload the pics in a bit), so I don't need my A4, as while it's lighter and more nimble, I've had it for almost 6 years and short of a Big Turbo and center/rear diff's, that's basically it. But the parking lot is full to capacity, with 4 or 5 cars blocking the aisles, following people to their cars so they can grab their spots. It's this way every January since I joined there a few years ago. By next month, I predict all will be normal again, and the couch potatoes will plant themselves once more. Sigh.

MYFOXNY.COM - Some New York City chefs and restaurant owners are taking aim at a bill introduced in the New York Legislature that, if passed, would ban the use of salt in restaurant cooking. "No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food for consumption by customers of such restaurant, including food prepared to be consumed on the premises of such restaurant or off of such premises," the bill, A. 10129 , states in part. The legislation, which Assemblyman Felix Ortiz , D-Brooklyn, introduced on March 5, would fine restaurants $1,000 for each violation. "The consumer needs to make their own health choices. J…

So I went on record a few months ago as saying I probably will not buy too many post 1979 Vehicles in the future. Now this obviously excludes stuff like a 5th gen. Camaro, so long as it is a true hardtop. But every once in a while I'm tempted. Right now my will is bending. Here at the Cadillac/Chevrolet dealer I work at we have a few nice modern rides, a 2004 Cadillac CTS (3.6) & 2002 Escalade EXT have both tempted me to fill out a credit app. But the car that really holds my interest, a white 2001 BMW 325Ci. Yes, I'm calling attention to this because it's becoming almost comical reading some of these reviews. If you've followed auto reviews long enough, you know that GM is chasing a moving target. Reviewers used to dash domestic vehicles for having less quality, then it was durability, then it was fuel economy, then it was noise and vibration, and then it was fit-and-finish/panel gaps. It then moved onto quality of interior materials and the latest sticking point appears to be number of forward gears. So, let's get it on record: what's everyone's opinion on the next great domestic "deficiency" for the auto-reviewers to harp on? I've already seen reviews bashing a GM ve…

Finding a donor Cherokee for that would be easy and cheap enough. Here's also a runner up: http://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/2464101824.html

This is finally final. Vehicle located, switched to a V6 for a slight bit more, available next week. One last step left is insurance. Time to say goodbye to Cavalier

Yes, it's frigid out. But that doesn't mean we have to endure a shrinkage of cool car spottings. What have you seen out there? Post it!

This is my idea for the next S2000 (about as good as any of those japanese "scoop" magazines anyhow). For my final project in my 3D design class I was supposed to make like a desk or something with some tools on it. It's a beginner's class after all. I decided to try my hand at a car, and figured I'd do a roadster (this is my first car model). It's incomplete but close enough (final was yesterday so I had to turn it in). I present to you, the 2010 Honda S2000! * Lighter-weight than outgoing model. * Retractable soft-top folds into forward trunk area. * Offered in three trim levels: base, Type R, and Type RR trim. * RWD X-frame chassis refine…

This is the revised "Bumblebee" Camaro for the next (horrifically underwhelming) installment of Michael Bay's Transformers franchise. Notice the revised front fascia and lack of rear side glass. Hmmm ...

With the second pick, the Detroit Lions select Calvin Johnson, wide receiver from Georgia Tech. Those poor Lions are so predictable, I dont care that they're not going to pick for an hour and a half, thats what they're going to do.

LEINART FALLS. Vikes don't move up to get him at 8. Then they blow it again when Denver moves to 11 to get some stiff named Jay Cutler. DENNYBALL is alive and well in Arizona. LIONS blow it again. another high draft choice. Great pick, if his head doesn't get pounded into mush within 5-6 games, ending his career. VINCE YOUNG goes to the Titans. WOW, they've got BUSH in New Orleans. HOW DUMB ARE THE TEXANS?!?!?!

Well, the NFL really starts today, forget that Thursday opener crap. I was planning on sitting around watching football today, then I turned my TV on to ESPN and Chris f'n Berman was on and reminded me of why I hate humanity, so I'm going lot hopping instead. Die Berman, just f@#king die you irritating bastard. Might as well make a Super Bowl pick, so I'll say Indy over Dallas because that would be an awesome game to watch.

CONCORD — It's official: No matter what the Massachusetts Supreme Court decides, New Hampshire won't be collecting sales taxes from Bay Staters who stray over the border to do their shopping. Yesterday, New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch applauded the final passage of a bill protecting New Hampshire businesses from having to collect sales and use taxes on behalf of Massachusetts and other states. The bill, sponsored by Seabrook's Sen. Maggie Wood Hassan, D-Exeter, received final approval by the Senate during its Wednesday session and now goes to Lynch, who will surely sign it. When the issues first arose, Lynch called the attempted tax grab by Massachusetts "outrageous." …

I just asked myself this question dealing with a client today. ARRRGGGHHH. I once posted a thread about rude customers. (I had one contractor/client go for my jugular last spring because of a few things I didn't pick up on a floor plan after our firm went through a mutiny - 15 % of the staff walked out in 1 day - and a lot of us were scrambling to keep everything in check). I would have gone off on him but I kept cool thinking: braces to be paid for with cafeteria plan - check, vesting schedule for 401 K is higher in April - check...you get the idea. Today, I would tell him to 'eff off. This is a different client I'm talking about now. Our projects with this clie…

Tonight, I went to Barnes and Noble's cafe' where I study. Yeah, I know, I'm boring. I know the girls who work there and when I was in Montreal for 1 week and came back to town, they asked me "Where have you been?" They told me they notice it when "the regulars" aren't around for a while. At any rate, we started talking about who "the regulars" were and they told me as such. They also told me "the regulars" all have nicknames ...and that we all have quirks! I asked them what mine was. They told me it was "Tea Guy" because I always order tea and it has to be in a mug, not paper. I busted up. Then they told me some other nicknames for other patrons...some were NO…

You'd be surprised that, even in coat and tie settings or in politics, people have always coined nickames for each other...be they good or bad. Some of the mumu ladies at the company I worked for in Atlanta called me the "crumb chaser" because I would "drop by" a buffet another department was holding...I was 5'10"/high 160s at the time, so they had room to talk (???) Some are geographic: "Santa Barbara" (G) - a spoiled, not a care in the world guy I work with who went to UCSB "West Texas" (NG) - a dollied-up co-worker who looks like a beauty contest entry from a small West Texas town for whom that would be the high point of her life "Reno" - (G) a lady with a hus…

* Since late April when we first learned my sister is pregnant with their 2nd child, my nephew has been adamant that he is having a little sister. When asked if a baby brother was OK, he simply replied, "I'm having a little sister!" Last week, my nephew's wishes were confirmed ... my little sister is having a girl! My niece should arrive in late November. My nephew is THRILLED! Being an uncle the last 3+ years has been awesome. I originally honed my "corrupting skills" for friends' kids, but I've perfected them with my nephew. When I was in the hospital last week, he brought the "Monte Carlo" bear (that I bought him) to help me get out of the hospital quicker.... …

Recently I have come into posession of a Nintendo Entertainment System circa 1985. I've wanted one for a while, but couldn't justify the $60+s&h for one on eBay. I found a used game place that had one so I traded my N64 (hasn't been used regularly in years) and some games for it. I've got Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3 as well as Duck Hunt. OH MY GOD THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME! (Sorry, I just went reg on you guys) I didn't have one when I was younger (went straight into the Sega Genesis) so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with the NES back in the day and am making up for it now. My one problem (other than sucking at the games) is the fact that I cannot find Zelda a…

Nissan Motor,Japan's third-biggest automaker,is preparing to produce fuel effcient small vehicles for Chrysler, taking a different route to enhance its presence in the American market despite concern about a slowdown. The two auto firms are in the final stages of negotiation on a deal for Nissan to supply Chrysler with small cars models with an engine displacement of around 1.8 liters,Japanese broadcaster NHK reported on Thursday. The pact is expected to boost Nissan's sales in the U.S market, and to help Chrysler make a turnaround from its recent weakness, attributed in part to an overdependence on light truck sales, the report said.A Nissan spokeswoman confirmed the …

Citing inside sources,Bloomberg reports that Chrysler and Nissan are in talks to develop Cars,Trucks and Engines together.Chrysler and Nissan, however, are reportedly not considering acquiring any type of ownership in each other. The co-development would be limited to truck development for Nissan, small car development for Chrysler and joint development of new engines. Nissan is likely hoping that taping into a U.S automaker's expertise on full-size trucks will lead to changes that make its Titan pickup more competitive. Chrysler, meanwhile,is still without a car small than the Caliber and could benefit from Nissan's experience selling cars in Japan and Europe.More at the li…
