One of my coworkers has been looking to buy an SUV and instead of a Toyota, I convinced him that a Chevy TrailBlazer was a bargain and a good choice instead of a Highlander or 4Runner... After checking Consumer Reports, etc and test driving a few, he bought a used '05 with 12k miles for $20k. Well, I'm on a job site (I work for the contracting company my father works for now, by the way. No more fueling planes) and I parked in a space reserved for BAY MONT BANK CUSTOMERS ONLY. OK, I feel a bit odd making this post here, but you guys have been my friends for so long now that I had to let you know what's up. Later this year, I will be publishing a collection of my writings from about 1979 to the present. For a while now, I have been sifting through old notebooks, and boxes of papers to extract this stuff. The book will be composed of prose, poetry and song lyrics that have needed a mission for a very long time. I'll update you later as things progress.

Our house was "vandalized" at around 3 this morning. When my dad left for work he noticed that one of the gates to our backyard was wide open and some kid was riding his bike down the street. Well, as it turns out we were the victims of the world's lamest idea of vandalism: -The lid of our grill was taken off and the tin grease trap was thrown into the pool. -A small tray of golf balls we had sitting outside was also thrown into the pool. -A potted plant was moved off a table and set in the lawn. -The hose was turned on. -A dog brush was stolen. Well, the wife called about 45 minutes ago to let me know that the AURA was struck by ice flying off a tractor-trailer on her way into work this morning on I-295 North. She wasn't able to swerve into a different lane, but was able to brake without being rear-ended. The damage? The front bumper is heavily damaged, as it took the brunt of the force. She drove over the ice, so I'm hoping nothing underneath is damaged. She didn't stop and check the car out, rather she drove the rest of the way to work, said nothing seemed wrong with the car. Then on the less obvious side is the new Tacoma. Nissan Titan XD and Continental. The new Titan with a Cummins 5.0..That thing has potential to really shake up the half ton segment. A friend of mine owns a NASCAR store in Brantford, Ontario which is closing and trying to sell all their merch. It's called Checkered Flag Racing. They have tons of jackets, die casts (including non-NASCAR), unique metal work of drivers, hats, etc... One thing I thought people here might be interested in was a GTO keychain. So, I needed to rent a car last min. and almost EVERYBODY in Fresno was sold out. So Hertz had cars (and have earned my future business) but... I ended up with 3 TOYOTA keys that all led me to a graphite gray Camary. It has a 4 banger in it. I CANNOT find a comfortable seating position in it at all. The seat is retarded and the steering wheel when it is pulled all the way out and put in the highest position is still not high enough or far enough out. First of the odds and ends is my '71 Ford Mustang. It had a good strong 302 with an automatic. It wasn't really much of a looker, but it was in pretty good shape. I replaced the painted rear bumper with a new chrome one and added the Mustang letters to the trunk after these pics were taken. When I got it the chrome trim at the leading edge of the hood and fenders as well as both bumpers were painted body color. I replaced them all with new chrome pieces.
