Hey y'all. I just got out of the theater after seeing Ghost Rider. I have to say that the movie was definitely worth the money I laid down for it. Followed the comic series quite well and really was cast pretty well. I can't really go into the whole story of the Ghost Rider without giving away parts of the movie. All I have to say is that its worth it and really good. I enjoyed the world out of it (then again, that might have also been becuase it was just ME that went to the theater, no family attached). There were also the previews for Fantastic 4 II: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Spidey 3, both of which looked pretty good indeed. Anyway, has anyone else seen it…

Dallas police ticketed 39 drivers in 3 years for not speaking English By SCOTT GOLDSTEIN / The Dallas Morning News [email protected] Dallas police wrongly ticketed at least 39 drivers for not speaking English over the last three years, Police Chief David Kunkle announced Friday while promising to investigate all officers involved in the cases for dereliction of duty. Pending cases will be dismissed, and those who paid the $204 fine for the charge, which does not exist in the city, will be reimbursed, Kunkle said. We have also looked at possibly just giving my brother my mom's Trailblazer and using the money from the Maxx to buy her a new car; we went test driving quite a few cars yesterday. Anyone have any ideas here? He doesn't want a truck or SUV unless he's forced to take the Trailblazer.

  65. Those of you located in central New Jersey, Perrine Buick-Pontiac-GMC on Route 130 North in Cranbury (Mercer County), they're celebrating their 80th Anniversary with a "Hummer Happening and Classic <GM> Car Show" on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00AM - 4:00PM rain or shine. The Hummer H3T concept truck and the Pontiac G8 sedan are highlighted on their flyer and newspaper ads. maybe I'll take the SKY there and show it off!

My mom is way over due for a newish car. She loves her current car (a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo) to death, but the thing is starting to fall apart. To the point where it would make more finantial sense to buy a newer car. So we went dealer hopping today. She really didn't say she liked anything in particular. Just walked around and was like "hmm" every so once an a while. She isn't picky about brands (mostly because she is clueless when it comes to cars), although my dad is another story. He has a strong distaste for Korean cars, and American cars. I try to tell him that they we're DiamlerChryslers that we owned (1993 Voyager and 2001 Dakota) but he doesn't listen. Wh…

  68. Hey, I had this friend going back to the mid-90s. She's actually a licensed architect, but she is ROUGH around the edges...more of a construction trailer lady than an architect in an office. I only befriended her because we had work things in common..and our paths would have never crossed had it not been for that. Even though she is ROUGH, she is married, but her marriage is very screwed up from what I can see. It's like a roommate marriage. Here's the basic problem: when she heads for lower ground, I tend to straighten her out (if she asks me advice or tells about her ridiculous predicaments). That is, I told her to take her stupid licensing exam, to fight for t…

I'm kinda wondering if my Playstation 2 is about the kick the bucket or something.... I have one of the old playstation 2 (the nice big ones), and it is starting to have issues. I'm currently playing NHL 2007, and it seems like the game is getting "stuck". I'll be playing, score a goal, and there will be like a 5 second delay before the horn sounds... The game itself is fine, and I tried a Nascar game too, and it will do the same thing after a while... Though I have noticed if I play hard for while (and does this with te Nascar game), it almost makes a clicking or disk jumping sound.... It has been just fine up till the last few days.... I've heard issues of d…

Hmmmmm, I got pulled over today. I was behind some old 1995 or so Jeep Cherokee going 40 mph in a 55 mph zone. So I decide to pull around him since it was a 4 lane highway. I blow by him in my Grand Prix going about 65, as I get ahead of him I hear a siren, I think, what an A$$hole trying to pretend he's a cop. So in my mind I think, hmmmm let me show you what I can do. I step on the gas and in a second I'm up to 90 mph. I hear that siren again and I think won't that AHole give it up. I look in my rearview and I see he has the hidden police lights in the grille on. I think, ain't this a b*tch, so I pull over. The cop that was driving the Jeep is in full uniform, his partn…

So... what's on BV's mind this time, you ask? Well... I found out a new view in which I love about my Grand Am. I just love how it looks when you're looking at the front, not straight on, but slightly 3/4 where the mirror seems equal to end of the rear passenger window. Especially at night where the the body blacks out and the small amount of light hits the shiny innards of the lights. And with the hood up... sitting along side some road... in the cold... trying to get back home... while suffering from overheating... because I wanted to try my luck once again... since I was sick of staying home, not having a car, and to have my parent's continuously go out and leave me …

I've been looking at Google maps' Street View the last hour or two... this is INSANE! You can go to Australia, Spain, etc and see streets and everything! If you're lost... go to Google Maps, then think of somewhere to go (type in Detroit or something). Look at the regular map, then on the left (on top of the zoom scroller) is a little man you can click and drag to the street. Then the world is yours and you can look at many, many places. It's nuts!

After about 8 years, I resigned my position with Brenda Priddy & Co. early last week to start my own business. About 2 months ago I thought staying on part-time at BP & Co, while doing flight school, would work. More recently, however, it became apparent that the best choice for me would be going on my own. Certainly not an easy choice to make, but with the big cost of flight school, I've got to look at everything from a business standpoint now. http://www.facebook.com/ChrisDoaneAuto

It seems that people like to makea big deal out of navigation being available (or not available) on various cars. Put your feelings on what a car in a certain class "should" have aside and answer the question: Do you want a navigation system in your next car? And a bonus question: If you had navigation, would you use it?

The gesture by Thomas Debrowski, Mattel's executive vice-president for worldwide operations, came in a meeting with Chinese product safety chief Li Changjiang, at which Li upbraided the company for maintaining weak safety controls. With the Caddy having no warranty, I'm definitely interested in getting some protection for the car, especially since it will be my daily-driver starting in November and want to protect my family when we're on the road. Should I look into an extended warranty plan, and if yes, with what company? Should I look into AAA coverage too? Since this is the first vehicle I have without any owner protection (I've been leasing my vehicles for 10 years now, so I've never paid attention to any services due to the manufactur…
