I was walking to class at 9:50 this morning when this little pug dog with a collar ran by me. On my right side was the Memorial Union building, and on the left across the street was a slope down to Lake LaVerne. The lake was mostly ice covered, but there were sections where the ice had melted. I kept walking but had a bad feeling in my gut because once the dog disappeared beyond the crest of the hill, I didn't see him pop out again further up by the sidewalk. I backtracked across the street and saw a little object splashing in the water about 10 feet from the shore. It was the little dog. So I start hurrying over there to the shore. I get out my phone to try to ca…

  7. I'm still keyed up on adrenalin as I type this. Around 2:30 this morning I heard a commotion outside my house. Next thing I know, I hear a couple of bangs and the sound of a sliding door opening. I stayed quiet, got out of bed and peered out my bedroom door. Some old dude was IN MY HOUSE! I don't know if he was drunk or what, but I watched him try to stash some boxes under my tree. I figure he must have stolen them from somewhere. It was dark, but I could tell he was overweight, unshaven and wearing red and white pajamas. As quiet as I could so as not to be detected, I grabbed a nearby machete, flung on the light switch, and started swinging that machete like a he…

Your new job requires a lot of travel and the need to impress people once you get there. Your current car is looking a bit dilapidated and isn't up to the task. Since the company is willing to pay the cost of a chauffeur, you decide a large four door luxury car is what you need. Today I had some good views, we will start off with a car I loved, but did not fit in very well. Cadillac Station Wagon, especially loved them in V edition. Start off with seeing an old GMC pickup that some members will love, forgot as I do not think I have seen the GMC person post in a while who loved all things GMC. Saw my first in the wild Ioniq 5, love the layout, dash and it looks very roomy inside, the center arm rest is bigger than in my SS.

Today, I was stuck in traffic, like the kind where you can shut your car off, I think there was a person killed in an accident. Thats not the point though. I was bored so I started to read the Owners Manual and I found this Quote " If steam or smoke is coming out of your hood DO NOT touch any thing because it could cause injury or severe burns". No shit Scherlock. Also that "Do not install any Electronic Devices as they may cause your Chevrolet to malfunction and cause a acciedent which can result in injury and or Death." Listen Ricers that aftermarket light bulb can cause your car to malfunction!! Do you find anything that is so retarted o…

Yes, I am bored again so I will show some screen shots from GT4. Of course... it has this fun photography thing where you can take scenic pics and pics during a replay. Super fun. All of this talk of replacing the GA inspired me to play it for the first time in months. Ya know... drove some of my Hondas. :D *hides in corner*

... a 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero. Blue with tan leather, 5speed, great condition with some cool accessories (better wheels and performance exhaust). It should be sitting pretty in my driveway tomorrow! Expect pics in the Reader's Ride section, and a lot of stalling from me. Here are some pics from the cars.com listing:

Hey guys, I'm thrilled to present you with C&G's very own 1st Annual Member's Rides Calendar. Because of the large amount of photo submissions, we have decided to offer you a choice of two different calendars. Here's a preview of what you can expect with your order. OPTION 1 OPTION 2 This is a pretty good representation of the reverse of the final product. Photos may be slightly edited or cropped to preserve the best quality in the final print. The order is (upper left to lower right) January through December. The calendar itself will be painted on satin or matte finish paper that is durable and high-quality yet easy to write on. Open dimensions are 8.5"x14";…

  91. The day has finally arrived... tomorrow, Saturday May 19 is the infamous skyroadster.com (and sister Solstice site) Mecca Tour to the Wilmington, Delaware Kappa plant. Believe it or not, it was posted on skyroadster.com today that this will be the first tour EVER in the Wilmington plant. Approximately 200 lucky SKY, Solstice, RL and GXP owners and their guests will be given the opportunity to get a one and a half hour tour of the plant, lunch in the employee cafeteria (courtesy of GM), give-aways from Pontiac & Saturn, a small car show by the Kappa owners on property, display trucks by both Pontiac & Saturn, and the chance to bid on some unique GM items to raise…

  92. This week, I wasn't able to attend the memorial service of an elderly woman I've known since 1978 ... when my grandparents moved to Batavia IL so my grandfather could pastor a church there. And, in a way, I'm glad I didn't go. Back in 1987, when my then best friend died, I was all about the memorial service. I felt the need to BE there ... and, I was. It was awesome hearing people talk about him ... and hearing stories about him that, sadly, I didn't know. I even found out that he didn't want me to know how bad his asthma was ... because of my own health issues. But, since then ... and especially in the last few years ... I've grown to dislike and not want to attend…

IDK Someone might think this funny, or maybe not. You just have to take into context this story is from days gone by. Just heard this story recently, thought I'd share. Story Subject One - Grandfather, kind to his grandchildren, strict with his eleven children - and don't mess with him type of owner in his paint & body shop. Subject Two - Disgruntled customer looking over the body & paint work - saying they don't like the job, and not going to pay. Result Subject One - Grandfather pulls out a tire ratchet, smashes car and asks how they like it now? Subject Two - Disgruntled customer takes his insurance job to another shop. You wou…

It's almost that time of year again! Whose getting excited for it? I know I am. Who do we think is gonna take the overall win? I think Porsche have a pretty good chance at taking a win. Toyota they just don't seem to be able to match the pace, and it's anyones guess as to how the Nissan entry is going to go. No prizes for guessing who the favorites are to win though.

Just got back from a relocation research trip to Atlanta and Florida (no, not Miami). I lived in Atlanta for 2 years, slightly after college. As a product of LA, I was surprised to find that I loved it. It has a special place in my heart because, fairly soon after college, I was able to buy my first house there because of the huge price differences from Cali....that I drive by it every time I go to the ATL. Atlanta is NOT the South. Georgia and Atlanta almost don't belong in the same sentence. Atlanta is one of this country's great metropolitan areas and probably the "engine" for that quadrant of the country. I'm considering going back, so help me out. Pluses: - …

  98. I'll cut to the chase here, and go straight to the rules- 1) Maximum of 5 choices. 2) Production cars only. 3) MUST be 2017 model year. (doesn't have to be on sale yet) 4) Cars from any market are allowed. 5) These are your only vehicles. 6) Cars/trucks/SUV's only; no bikes, trikes, RV's, etc. Enjoy.

  99. What's your favorite piece of crap car? I've always liked certain iterations of the GM W-Bodies. The Cutlass Supreme Coupe with the 3.4 DOHC V-6 (available with a 5-speed Getrag). The supercharged Grand Prix Coupes. The Lacrosse with the 5.3 liter V8. They were always labors of love, but they were great in their own way.

That time of year again, opening day is tomorrow. Well, the real opening day, those two games in Tokyo dont count. Hopefully this season ends a little better for my Cubbies, the 3-game sweep out of the playoffs sucked. A World Series title would be great, a pennant would be ok. It will be nice watching the Cards lose. Predictions: AL East - Red Sox AL Central - Indians AL West - Mariners AL Wild Card - Tigers NL East - Mets NL Central - Cubs NL West - Rockies NL Wild Card - Phillies World Series - Cubs over Indians
