It has become a tradition my GM (car) loving son must have his fix and go to the Chicago Autoshow, and we did this year together. It was the perfect father and son get-away except for the wild and annoying rednecks on the three hour bus ride. We decided not to bother visiting the other side of the show, we stayed in the GM area of the show only. No kidding the photos will clearly reveal that. So hold on here they come!

Not sure how long of a write up I'm going to do, just going to throw out some thoughts from what I remember... Volt is pretty nice inside, really looks good outside too. Think it has great potential to change the perception of GM amongst many people. It was also one of the busiest areas in the show. ZL1 is pretty "meh" to me. At the end of the day, it's still a Camaro and doesn't look that much different than an SS. Camaro convertible is pretty nice as well. I'm a little underwhelmed by the interior, however; the Mustang is nicer. Regal and LaCrosse are both quite nice (but I already knew that from before), Verano looks okay but nothing spectacular. The Nissan Armada was a dinosaur in the brand's SUV lineup and we're not talking about the size. The current model has been with us since 2004 and has changed very little. We were wondering if anything was going to happen, especially the sister car - the Infiniti QX80 - had been updated a couple years ago. We have been waiting very patiently for Nissan to give us any information on the Titan half-ton and today at the Chicago Auto Show, they did just that. In terms of design, it is hard to tell the difference between the half-ton and the XD models. Where the differences are apparent is in the chassis. The Titan's overall length measures out to 228.1-inches long, about 11.8-inches shorter than the XD's. Wheelbase and height are also shorter than the XD. Hyundai is teasing their showing for next week's Chicago Auto Show which happens to be the next Elantra GT. But we already have a good idea what it might look like. How? Subaru has revealed an updated version of their Legacy sedan that will make its official debut at the Chicago Auto Show next week. With new versions of GM and Ram Trucks' heavy-duty pickups coming around the corner, it comes as no surprise that Ford has decided to update their F-Series Super Duty trucks. GMC will not be the only truck manufacturer to offer a trick tailgate. Ram Trucks has announced a new Multifunction Tailgate as an option for the 2019 Ram 1500. Hi all, Just checked out the website for the Chicago Auto Show coming in Feb. and it looks like the Aura is set to debut there! Previous visits to this site, did not list this info, rather it only offered the Vue Green Line. So maybe someone "in the know" can verify this??? I secretly hoped to sit it there this year in full production form, as I loved the concept and if I recall correct it was to be a 2007 model? Or was it '08? Toyota has quite the showing at the Chicago Auto Show next week. First off is a refresh for the full-size Avalon sedan. We don't much about the refresh, but judging from a from teaser shot, Toyota has made some slight tweaks to front end. We'll have more information come next week.
