  4. OK, which state has the most degreed population? Probably not a surpise. It's Massachusetts. 35.8 % of the adult population holds at least a bachelor's degree. (Heck, they have Harvard and MIT across the street from each other). In general, the most degreed areas are the Northeastern states. In the list are three outliers, somewhat Western, probably because of their progressive nature or yuppie appeal...these are Colorado, Washington and Minnesota. The least educated state is West Virginia, with 17 % of the adult population holding a degree. That's where Clarice from "Silence of the Lambs" is from. That's less than half that of Massachusetts. ocn's vacation, day 1: So, one or two of you may recall a thread on my first service visit with my Fiesta. It was to get a second key programmed for the car. That key was incorrectly cut by someone at Ford, so round two was necessary. This morning was round two. I got to the dealership at 7:50 for my 8:00 appointment for something that should take about 3 minutes. At about 8:40 I started doing the bad customer thing... I started walking around outside the shop, looking for my car. Found it. Tech was in his bay, at a desk on a laptop, looking up info on how to do the programming. He was stumped. I walked in and introduced myself as the car owner. He said the key…

I'd really like to get some more, and the catalog is SO enticing. Pyro-Impact, Big Bomb Jumbo Cracker, Red, White & Boom... sigh! Don't get me wrong. Not that I couldn't see the pics and now I'm posting this. Could the pics be leaked intentionally by GM? From a marketing point of view, it's very clever indeed. Leak the picks, then taking them down immediately, bluffing legal action. Gets people thinking, speculating, etc, etc. Just think of all the hype it's getting now. At least it got everybody and a lot of forum talking and stuff. Also serves the effect of a marketing survey. GM gets the valuable information that people DO want a Camaro. I could be wrong though.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/4796264.stm Long story short: the gas pedal gets stuck, the car acelerates to 135mph, driver fries the brakes trying to stop, and the "gears were jammed", preventing him from shifting into neutral. Yeah. Right. Once they check out the car (a 3-series BMW BTW)and find there was nothing wrong, he's got some 'splaining to do.

I got out of my house this morning to discover my car was hit and run. The driver's side of the car was sideswiped from behind, leaving a gash along the rear door, quarter panel, rear bumper, and rear wheel. More worryingly, though, is that the alignment is off; the poor thing now veers right. The Passat has a twist-beam rear axle, and I'm guessing the beam is bent. There really aren't any rear alignment settings for it (I just had the car aligned a few weeks ago, along with new rear shocks). Anyone know if a rear beam can be knocked back to spec, or am I looking at a new axle? I don't have collision insurance coverage on it.

TORONTO - Lets just call it the Miracle on the 403. “I thought it was a fatal for sure,” said freelance photographer Andrew Collins. “The transport truck had flipped right on top of a Mazda SUV and flattened it right at the ramp at the 403 and Dundas at the Mississauga-Oakville border.” The veteran Collins said it was not just the horrific sight that seemed ominous but the way the first responders were carrying themselves. http://www.torontosu...-of-expert-work “It was a miraculous recovery,” he said. “She was flown to St. Mikes, treated for minor bruises and scrapes and then released."

http://www.skyroadster.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11057 When visiting with Fly, Camino, Oldsmoboi, Ocnblu, and BlackandBlueLandscaper and showing off the SKY, they couldn't tell that my car had been damaged in an accident. I told them that quite a few of the Kappa cars have been involved in accidents over the last two years and many were able to be repaired, although others met their unfortunate fate too early. The link above is from the skyroadster.com fourm; while the first page goes back to January of this year, there are some collages of accident pictures. But a recent addition on page 2 shows what a Solstice looks like when it flips completely over. I figured I…

  98. They did sometimes ahve good articles...but Sport Compact car is dead. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/21/source-...laying-off-115/ I think the whole Japanese tuner thing is seeming to die down, at least outside of southern Cali. This may indeed point that direction. Chris

Road & Track pen'd a story about eight non-supercars with more power than a McLaren F1. Given the fact that many pay crazy amounts of money for a limited production run auto that seems to have a limited HP in relation to OEM production runs of normal models, one must ask: Is a Supercar that Super anymore? Here is the list of the 8 cars R&T have listed that they think is way better than a McLaren F1. Listed Low to High in the HP rating. Bentley Continental GT 633HP Chevy Corvette ZR1 638HP Cadillac CTS-V 640HP …
