  1. This morning at about 8am I was on I29 heading south between the Canadian border and Grand Forks heading back to Fargo. Just north of Grand Forks I noticed a Charger, a 300, and too matching Aspens heading toward Canada. I thought it just could have been a coincidence but not a half mile later I saw two matching camo'd SUVs tagged by a 4 door Wrangler. Both these vehicles were a little smaller than a Durango it seemed...I'm guessing they were Journeys, but I don't know. They were under light camo, just the front fascia and the back hatch seemed to be covered. About a mile later I saw a Caravan, followed by what was unmistakably a Challenger under complete camo fol…

The 3rd annual Keeneland carshow was today. Featured make was the Corvette, all makes and trims welcome for the Corvette, so there were supposedly over 200 Vettes at the show. I took pictures of the classic ones, since any of us can usually walk outside and see a C4/C5/C6. Strangely, there were no C6 Z06's, which struck me as odd. Also at the show were 5 Corvette Concepts on loan from the GM Heritage Museum: Mako Shark, Mako Shark 2, Aerovette, Sting Ray 2 and Sting Ray 3. BEAUTIFUL cars. Here are my pictures!

"I'm not afraid things won't get better, but it feels like this has gone on forever" __ Toad The Wet Sprocket __ 'Good Intentions' Cars & music = time machines that just keep playing! Life is like cars & music; it runs, grooves & stays alive in surprising ways. Stopping in to say "hello" & share some highlights (pics below); perhaps I can't say "goodbye" completely.... * For the last week or so, I haven't slept or eaten much. It may just be stress, but I have an appointment w/my PCP this Thursday to make sure. I'd hate to think the pneumonia has returned or an issue has developed w/my pig or cow valves.... * I probably will start writing again, part…

Have you seen the new Orville Redenbacher microwavable popcorn commerical? If not, check it out here first: It's creepy! This guy has been dead since 1995, yet the company decided to resurect him for their new ad??? He looks fake - I watched E!'s "Talk Soup" show yesterday and they said it was a combination of live action, Orville's head & lots of CG effects. But I think it's creepy. Especially in the beginning of the commercial, I think all the people in it think it's creepy to see a dead guy boppin' to an MP3 player and making popcorn- just look at their faces (especially the white guy with glasses)! And best of all, at the end of the commercial he says…

More and more, the blur of the holidays is imposed upon us by merchants everywhere. Let Tom the Turkey have his day. St. Nicholas has plenty of time to cast his spell over your heart... and your wallet.

from supra forums Sad that just sliding off the road would do that - but understandable, considering the speeds that were probably involved. For those of you cryin' - I warned you.

  75. This car looks exactly like our old Concorde before the transformation. Camino, I don't know how much you will like this but I love it. The C pillar and window setup looks like the Holdens. This car is nice, minus the ugly rims, oddly placed Buick portholes on a Chrysler, and what I think is a hood scoop. Anyways you have your opinion. But if I still had our old Concorde, I would be taking a Chopsaw to it as well. I love it. Here is the link for the pics. El Concorde

This "iffyness" on Zeta is making me want to give up on new cars. My whole life I have watched cars I like get cancelled and replaced by soulless FWD blobs. Then, GM comes-up with Zeta and all is well. Then, Zeta is put on hold. Then on hold again. I'm tired of freakin' waiting! At least old cars can bring a smile to my face. Maybe I'll just disappear into the barn and concentrate on my projects. Call me when the real cars are ready.

Now that gas prices are down, the number one, two, and three wealth creates, F150, Ram, and Silverado are propping up the American auto industry and by extension propping up Opel in Europe which is a 20 billion dollar black hole. What honestly happens when the price of gas goes back up to $148 a barrel?

Yep...happened again...same car too. So we've had the Prizm back for about 2 weeks now, I've been meaning to post about it but haven't got any good pics to show yet so I haven't done so. Anyway, I was working yesterday, coming back from my first delivery, I pulled onto the street beside work and parked on the side. There was a red Silverado in front of me and some other car in front of him. I backed up a bit to give him some extra room to pull out, so he had 5 feet or so plus the space between him and the other car. I lock up and start to walk to the shop. I notice he backing up and for some reason I felt compelled to watch...only to find the f@#king retard backing into …

  83. I'm sure you all have read O. C.'s thread "So my boyfriend is moving in ..." many of you gave great insight to his plight. So my question is this, How many of you that have committed to another person, has ever cheated on that person? By cheating I mean had sexual relations, with another person, that wasn't the one you committed to? If you have, did you own up to it, or will you take that secret to the grave? I will say this for me, before I got married, I was the biggest male whore on the planet, after I got married I have not cheated "done the dirty deed as it were with someone other than my wife", doesn't mean I have not thought about it, talk about it, or even dre…

Happy Holidays to all this 2017! We have all had our take on the auto industry and much more this year, it has been one for the history books and it now looks to be the start of an industry changing year as the success of the Chevy Bolt, start of rough production for Tesla 3 and so many new options as the industry moves from cars to CUVs and an exciting Detroit auto show ahead of us. Just wanted to take a few minutes to say thank you to all that have made Cheers and Gears such an entertaining and awesome place to talk about the auto industry. Way too many people to thank each one individually but want to say; Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you all!

Haven't seen much memorable in the last week. Looking forward to Spring, this winter weather is hanging around too long...33 and flurries today. Saw a gold Chevy Express panel van with the license plate 'I DO HVAC'...clever call out to their occupation, presumably. Also saw a late model silver Subaru Impreza with lot of surface rust on the hood...odd.

I'm "angered/frustrated/saddened by domestic violence" is what I posted as a status on Facebook a day or so after I was told by a good friend of mine that another friend had been killed by her husband. I've known Amy for ~12 years. She had a heart of gold, and the world has lost a wonderful person. This is yet another "senseless act" ... and, to me, another reminder of how fragile life is, how much we need to "stick together", and how much violence doesn't particularly solve anything, but just adds more pain to the situation.... http://www.indystar.com/article/20100325/NEWS02/3250494/Two-die-after-Grant-Co.-standoff Cort | 36swm.IL | "Mr Monte Carlo"."Mr Road Trip"…

When you've just completed your bouncing-off-the-rev-limiter, lame-ass drift in your riced (or is that sauerkrauted) BMW, no matter how many extra points you think the judges may award you for it or how cool you think it looks, it is usually a really bad idea to get out of your car while the back tires are still spinning. not for the overly sensitive
