Yep...happened again...same car too. So we've had the Prizm back for about 2 weeks now, I've been meaning to post about it but haven't got any good pics to show yet so I haven't done so. Anyway, I was working yesterday, coming back from my first delivery, I pulled onto the street beside work and parked on the side. There was a red Silverado in front of me and some other car in front of him. I backed up a bit to give him some extra room to pull out, so he had 5 feet or so plus the space between him and the other car. I lock up and start to walk to the shop. I notice he backing up and for some reason I felt compelled to watch...only to find the f@#king retard backing into …

As I'm quite bored (there's nothing like pouring rain on a car lot to make things very slow and boring), I thought I'd pose a question. If you could resurrect one, and only one, now defunct car brand, which would you choose, why, and how would you do it? I've been thinking about this and it's a tough call. Part of me wants to say Pontiac, because I would love to see GM work harder on performance models, but my heart says Mercury. My first car was a 1982 Mercury Cougar station wagon, to me Cougar has always brought a feeling of excitement to mind (even in that wagon, at least a little bit, I'm not sure why, but that is how I thought of them as a kid and it never lef…

I don't consider myself handy but... this was pretty easy actually. I just put in a window mount air conditioner. I had to take out a fixed pane of glass to do it. I just ripped out some sheilding and pushed on the window, and it came off the caulking and popped right out. I was worried I was going to break it putting it in. The only problem is that I can't find my caulking, or my duct tape, so right now all the air leaks are sealed with scotch tape. Yes, its actually strong enough - 3M makes some good scotch tape, apparently. So, what else around the house is surprisingly easy? Has anyone else fixed something or installed something that they can give tips on? While …

  13. Sometimes I don't feel right talking general automotive discussion in The Lounge. Does it go in the kinda general part of The Other Guys? Is the general car discussion intended to be here? Or is it likely we should start a new sub-forum for general car discussion (topics that aren't specific to one brand or otherwise don't fit other forums, but don't fit the tone of the Lounge)? To me The Lounge seems more for social topics than anything automotive. Mods, Admins, other regular posters, what say you?

I didn't get a very good look at it, but I knew how to get to it for when I could take a longer look. Today, I'm in the neighborhood and I swing by to see if I can talk to the owner and get a better idea of the car's condition. To keep things short, here's the data: It's a '72 Camaro - the typical early '70s dark brown with black stripes. My guess is, it's not a Z/28 or SS, but it has the split bumper Looks to be …

  67. So, there was discussion on how GM didn't have a coupe ready for launch. Which makes me think. When was the last time GM launched a car with multiple body styles AT THE SAME TIME?

This really is a WTF moment for Canadians... Harper is a Conservative, and not a very personable guy. This would be like Bush Sr. getting up on stage out of nowhere and singing.

The last car (and my only new car) I bought is my 1992 Regal. I still have it, as most of you know (** as you scream Cheapskate! **) The MSRP sticker was $ 18,736 and I got it for $ 16,900 without even saying a word. I went in there with a typed list of all the codes and MSRPs...I guess they don't see that often. So, on 5-16-92, right after getting back to Portland from Champaign IL (bleh!), I took delivery of the car. Now, the MSRPs on the sleds I am currently looking at are in the $ 23,500 to $ 24,500 range. Some have incentives of $ 1,000 or $ 1,500, for example. In your mind, that means that you should be able to get the initial deal (the dealer's "issue" - …

Okay, guys. Start making a list of what you think the one or two top vehicles per brand will be (or are) that will bring each brand back into the spotlight for GM, as a whole, to prosper like it once did. I'll start: Buick: A Zeta sedan.. Right now, nothing's happening at Buick except talk. The Enclave might draw its own crowd, too, but it might not get enough talk. Cadillac: A&S v1 did it essentially, but the '08 CTS will really get them going Chevrolet: Camaro and Impala. Two pre-existing vehicles on a brand new platform with much better quality, design, and technology. Chevy Trucks/GMC: The Avalanche and rest of the 900 fleet look amazing; this'll do it. Give t…

I have been driving a 95 Buick Regal since I totaled my 01 Sunfire about a year ago. Today, I (with MAJOR help from my parents) traded it in on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo! It wasn't my first choice, but I am really stoked...It is EXTREMELY clean. It's white with the black interior and "aluminum" trim. Anyways...when I get a chance I will take some pictures and hopefully someone here can help me post them!

So I was supposed to get a '08 Malibu LTZ with the 2.4L to review yesterday....only....when the guy dropping it off was about 5 miles from my house, a hose blew. Coolant hose I think judging from the smoke and sweet smell the guy mentioned. How the hell does that happen on ANY car with only 6400 miles on it??

Just me and my good ol' 12 pack Keith's. My roommates all went home, to London and the rest all of a sudden all went down to NYC, in the middle of nowhere. I don't know how they're going to get there, because they were talking about taking Greyhound, but then AFAIK you need to book that. They also mentioned about getting a rental car, but again, rental companies are probably closed by now. Sounds wierd, but I don't care! I have the house now!

Oh man, I've become absolutely hooked on YouTube clips of the British television show, Hollyoaks, and the story of two of its protagonists, John Paul and Craig. Their story has captivated me. So far, I've watched 38 clips, approximately 10 minutes each, over the last two days. And there are many more to go. What's your latest television obsession? Tell us.

For only thirty-nine nine ninety-nine. Bad plus good, equals better for everyone." Meanwhile, they're slamming it into cars, people are breaking the windows... I got a chuckle. 89. WASHINGTON - Alan Greenspan says the country can't afford tax cuts of the magnitude proposed by Republican presidential contender John McCain — at least not without a corresponding reduction in government spending. "Unless we cut spending, no," the former Federal Reserve chairman said Friday when asked McCain's proposed tax cuts, pegged in some estimates at $3.3 trillion. "I'm not in favor of financing tax cuts with borrowed money," Greenspan said during an interview with Bloomberg Television. "I always have tied tax cuts to spending." McCain has said that he would offset his proposed cuts — including reducing the corporate tax rate and eliminating the Alternative M…

But, should we at least f*cking wait until the courts determine if he is indeed guilty for sure, first? I'd like to see what kind of illegal $h! these hypocritical folks have in their closets that they want vick gone before its really proven exactly what he did. JOEY HARRINGTON!

Here's something to try, if you're looking for something a bit different in a weekend breakfast: Preheat oven to 375 Peel, core and slice two apples, your choice of variety (I used gala apples this a.m.) Place apple pieces in a baking dish Very lightly dust with flour (thickens the resulting juice so it clings to the apples to enhance flavor) Add a couple small pats of butter to stave off scorching and soften the sauce Sparingly sprinkle with brown sugar or honey (the apples are plenty sweet, just a little bit will be enough) Sprinkle with powdered ginger and cinnamon to taste Top it all off with a couple of tablespoons of real bacon bits …

The thing is, though, everything is different so I need to give myself a crash course in California landscaping befoe I can even determine if it is doable.
