This is the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept and the automaker says it previews "a future production sports sedan," most likely the next Maxima. The Sport Sedan Concept is the third concept to show what Nissan has in mind for the designs in the future; the first two being the Resonance crossover concept and Friend-Me concept. The long road to Volkswagen's crossover for the U.S. has taken another turn with the introduction of the Cross Coupe GTE Concept. The concept falls in between the seven-seat CrossBlue concept shown at Detroit last year and the and the CrossBlue Coupe shown at Shanghai. The concept carries such details as a two-bar grille, narrow headlights, and flared-wheel arches. As a whole, the concept reminds us of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, especially in the back. After having an early reveal yesterday, Volvo decided to spill the beans on the new XC Coupe Concept that will debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week. Buick will be unveiling the 2016 Buick Envision on Sunday at a preview event before the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. One piece of information we dug up is on the drive configuration. According to the VIN card for 2017, the U.S. market Envision will only be available in All-Wheel Drive while we already know that Chinese market vehicles can be configured with just front-wheel drive. Acura dropped both a teaser photo and video of the 2019 Acura RDX Prototype. The RDX is an important vehicle for Acura as its the second-best selling model for the brand - the larger MDX is the best selling model. Ahead of the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Jeep released images of the refreshed 2019 Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Today Kia released some teaser renderings of the 2019 Kia Forte ahead of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Funny thing happened while me and my fiance were setting in the Saturn Vue Redline. We were in the vehicle with the doors closed (windows were down) and she made a comment about no cup holders (the plastic insert was removed) and that there was only one DC outlet. Nobody standing near would have heard us talk at a lower voice leve. On the spectrum of concept vehicles, we have models that are wildly out there and have no chance of going into production. Then we have models that are thinly disguised production vehicles. It's late and I'm tired so I'm going to make this breif.... Although I saw pretty much everything I'm going to focus on the big 3 Dodge (Chrysler) - SRT vehicles looked pretty cool on the exteriors. Dodges interiors overall (all vehicles), to bluntly put it, sucked. Not at all impressed with the company that turned around the big 3 in design in the mid 90's when it comes to this area.
