Just Saw this Clip on Jay Leno's Website about his 1967 Imperial Crown Hardtop and how he came about owning it... Figured I'd share it with you guys in case anybody hasn't seen it. I think the video really captures why I like these 1960s Imperials better than the Cadillacs and even Lincolns of their day. Do any of you look forward to CES this next month? I always look at the mobile audio stuff, mainly headunits, pioneer. the TV stuff will prolly be good I am excited about AMD releasing the Phenom II and the AM3 platform. there are reports/data that shows the 920's hitting just under 4Ghz OC'd on air on the 790GX chipped mobo's. the 940's are BE running at 3ghz stock, the 920's are supposedly 2.8ghz stock. i don't expect to see any SED tv's this year, but might be surprised...? you looking forward to anything?

This is a great documovie and it makes me miss when the guys ran real cars or had some sort of personality that was different from corporate smiles. If there was emotion and personality in NASCAR it would be better today in my opinion.

So we had a pretty major winter storm here in New England last night. It's been crazy weather. Last weekend the temps were in the 10's and 20's, earlier this week they were almost 60 with one storm. Temps dropped back down with this storm that just passed over us, giving a good chunk of New England one of the worst Ice Storms in recent history. Apparently much of the area is without power, although we're lucky and still have it. Here's some photos from this morning. I'll say this: ice is dangerous but it sure looks pretty.

Wrapping Christmas presents sucks. I'm terrible at it, everything looks bad, but I really dont care since its going to end up all over my living room floor anyways. My brilliant plan (which was rejected) was to put everyone's gifts in their own pile, put a blanket or tarp or something over each pile then let everyone pull the cover off to reveal all their gifts at once. But no, everything has to be wrapped individually. Buckets of Lincoln Logs and sleeping bags are really hard to wrap.

Reading FOG's thread quiet praise for the Cavi and how well it did it's job, got me thinking: What are some good cars/trucks out there that most people may not think so highly of? You know I have been thinking about a F-Body 2000-2002 with a V6 Coupe/T-Tops, I really would like a Firebird but found this Camaro at a only 6 grand with 59K! Today, six were laid off from our firm of about 65 people. Nobody saw it coming and we were all in shock for most of the day. What air freshener device do you use, if any? And what unusual ones have you seen marketed? I saw a 'pine tree' with leather scent. Growing up, I remember our car usually had this little hanging wicker basket with a point at the bottom and a tassel. When you opened the lid, you would find lavender seeds inside. Last night, I was driving home and saw some nice gas prices. I found, at a Safeway filling station, in Northern California (though not coastal), gas for $ 2.52.9 and that was prior to the 3 cent Safeway club card discount. That puts it at a hair under $2.50. C&G has been my home on the net for a few years now and it's good to be back. In early October my trusty Toshiba laptop took a fall and died a horrible death, and as such I've been without a computer since then. But my misery of being without a keyboard at my finger tips and C&G before my eyes has come to an end, today I bought a brand new HP Pavilion. Today I wanted to scream, our family was getting ready to go to a family function about 45 min away, ma and pa wanted to pick up the papers, and I was in the shower. I'm thinking its because I've been listening to an insane amount of Bjork lately, but I'd like to visit Iceland. And would even consider moving there, if I felt the need to leave the country. I realize its pretty much the last place on earth anybody would ever go, but has anyone ever been? And on a completely different subject, why cant I find a cruise that boards in New York or Miami, then goes around the friggen world? Circumnavigating the globe on a cruise ship would be sweet. Time consuming, but sweet.

Awesome, it will be a 3-day work week...with everyone most likely being "on demerol" the second half of the day on Wednesday, if not leaving early. I'm heading up to the PNW. It'll be a brunch with my Mom on TG Day. I'm seriously thinking of going up to Canada (Vancouver) for the remaining 3 days, seeing that gas is under $2 a gallon. What will you folks be doing? I really want Gran Turismo 4, but they never release the GT series for the PC so scratch that. I was looking around for some PC racing game that have some semblence of realism like the GT series, and came across GTR Evolution and Need for Speed Pro Street. GTR looks like a decent game, but I'm more interested in muscle and production car racing and GTR is basically about high-end exotics and racers. I will miss the QE2. So will millions of others. I sailed on her out of NY going transatlantic once. If we can do "haircut," I can do "pizza." I was just munching on some Spanish olives, thinking about how good they'd go on a pizza.
