"In a crowded field of restyled GM products at SEMA this year, the Baldwin-Motion 540 Camaro SuperCoupe, penned by Kris Horton working with MOTION, LLC CEO, Larry Jaworske and Joel 'Mr. Motion' Rosen, literally stole the Show," said Kip Wasenko. 2. When I just read the specs on the Turbo Ecotec for the solstice it got me thinking since this motor is probally gonna take over the S/C in the High Preformance it got me wondering when will the engine take over and when what improvements will be made to the car to compensate for age and the preformance gap between a 2.4 and a 2.0 turbo. I figure the Cobalt will get this engine in 2008 then again 2007 is a possibility but I think Chevy will wait 4 years so they can give the Cobalt a refresh. Will the Ecotec line stay the same? Will the 2.2 and 2.4 ecotec still have the same power as they have now when the vehicle is refreshed. How will DI technology coming to the ecotec…

How much do we know about the 2012 Cruze and Sonic, and when will we find out any information? I'd like to see specs on the Sonic (I'd actually like to drive one, but I don't know when the SOP is) as well as changes to the Cruze. I think I'm going to end up replacing my car at the end of this year and, as much as I'd like a new Mustang, I will most likely have to settle for a less expensive car that is better on gas. These are my options.

Chevrolet dealers are saying the same thing with consumers skipping over the Eco model. "For most people, it's hard to justify the extra money based on the extra fuel economy of a combined 3 mpg more than the base model. You've got the base LS model sitting next to it that's just as nice and luxurious," said Jeff Tuckman, inventory manager at Castle Chevrolet in suburban Chicago. Did anyone else see it? There is a Tundra parked on the side of the road. A guy driving a Silverado pulls up and asks the owner if he needs a ride. Now, for a split second I was expecting and hoping that the reason for the Tundra being on the side of the road was a snapped camshaft. While it was disappointing that this was not the case, it was also AWESOME that the reason was the Tundra RAN OUT OF GAS. The commercial then went on to illustrate the same regarding the Ford F-150. FINALLY. This is the kind of advertising GM needs. Tell people why GM's trucks are better than Toyota's.

The move means that the only available powertrain for the Traverse is the 310 horsepower V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic. The 2.0T was introduced in the 2018 model year only on the RS model which had a slightly sportier flair than the regular Traverse. 56. From 2010 to 2014, the Chevrolet Camaro was undisputed sales champion of the U.S. sports cars. But since 2015, the Camaro has been falling behind the likes of the Ford Mustang. At the time, Chevrolet officials were okay with giving up some volume to boost profitability. Unlike Ford which started focusing on lower-end models, Chevrolet decided to target performance-oriented models with high price tags. But this year, the Camaro has been outsold by both the Mustang and Dodge Challenger - the latter using a platform that is over a decade old. Chevrolet is now planning to fight back by focusing on the lower-end of the market, a place where Ford and Dodge have been makin…

Our one year old 2005 Tahoe has had a broken liftgate handle for over a month now -- according to the local Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealer that I use for service on this car, apparently GM has been using a new, cheaper liftgate handle for the last year or so, and there are like 200 backorders around the country for this specific part. The car is still under warranty, so I'm not worried about any costs, but has anyone heard anything about this? It seems incredible to me that there would be so much trouble with such an item, as this part should not have changed since the 2000 model year... What's up here? On a sidenote, I just returned from a short family vacation in the m…

The cars will show up around Gainsville this season. From those I know the team had lobbied for the CTSV coupe as the aero shape was similar and there was no issues with the c pillar as there was with the Camaro. GM had wanted the Camaro as it was the car that they wanted to promote in the series. I am not sure if they got the changes in the C pillar area they wanted or not but it will be the car they plan to run. The cars have been up and running at their test track in Moorsville NC and th…

But now, they're gearing up to help build the Chevrolet Malibu, one of GM's most promising new cars. It's work that could add up to 300 jobs by next spring, local union leaders said. Workers learned this week that the sprawling factory in northern Oakland County will manufacture anywhere from 10 percent to 25 percent of the much-hyped new M…

Chevy's Camaro has consistently ranked third in sales behind the Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang ever since the 6th generation model debuted for 2016. Sales fell further in 2019 after a disastrous redesign of the front fascia on SS trim models, down 7.6% year to date. This despite the greater availability of 4-cylinder models and packages that put the V8 in easier reach. While the Camaro is down 7.6 percent, the Mustang has also fallen 10.1 percent and Challenger is down 11 percent year to date. The Ford and the …

Actually, that's just about what the Cruze Eco is. It's no secret the two cars share platforms, but nothing trains the mind on efficiency quite like creating a car that depends on a battery (at least sometimes), and many of the Volt's teensy and seemingly improbable efficiencies have reappeared on its much better-selling gasoline-only alter ego. Chevy Volt Hysteria: We’re All Going to Die! Or, An Application of Facts and Rationality to Flaming Batteries and Melting Chargers One can learn a lot from history. When gasoline-fueled motor cars began roaming streets (and their proxies) in great numbers at the beginning of the 20th century, fuel tanks were thought to be ready to burst into flames if looked at sideways, and gasoline run-off was blamed for sewer explosions. Such fear and misinformation prompted the New York Times to release a piece in 1912 entitled “Gasoline Is Not Dangerous Fluid.” Action-flick writers excepted, people today generally understand that the internal-combustion engine’s fuel doesn’t …

One of the items they have discovered is the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze will lose the six-speed manual for both the gas and diesel engines. It also looks like a CVT will become available. The drawings, which unsurprisingly are claimed to come from the European patent office, clearly show what seems to be a Buick Encore-based vehicle with some changes to the sheetmetal and wearing the familiar Chevrolet dual port grille. That also means the small Chevy CUV depicted would be the same size as the Encore, would offer all-wheel drive, and would probably share an engine or two. L’Au…
