I've heard the rumors of a 280-300hp V6, but is it just speculation? Being "good enough" is typical GM thought and I'm fearing that they are going to seriously drop the ball and stick with the same 255hp engine they have now. A ~300hp V6 would greatly step on the [underperforming] 4.6l Northstar's toes with just 320hp. I suppose this just emphasizes the need for the Northstar to be revamped. They didn't feel it was necessary to upgrade the GMT900's small block/4speed combo which is the same crime.

Does anyone have a link to this Cadillac commercial from 2002? It was the one that had a very surreal feel to it that showed some of Cadillac's classics in black and white along with period personalities like Ali. This was all before the Led Zep "Breakthrough" stuff. I think it was actually called "Dreams," but I'm not certain. Probably the best Cadillac commercial in recent years.

Hey all. This is part getting things off my chest, part asking for advice and opinions from Cadillac owners. Nowhere better (ok, maybe Cadillac Forums) then here. My story is my lease is coming up in less then 6 weeks on my factory ordered 2004 Z71 Avalanche. The buyout is significantly more then what I could pick a similar one for off a lot tomorrow, so I am going to walk away from it. Well I must say I have been a skeptic of the new 07 suvs coming out. I am also sad to say I work at GM and I have not seen a actual model until the past few weeks. So my buddy pulls into my driveway yesterday with a new V8 STS. Looks like a bluish/grey color. Car was pretty stunning to look at. I get in...BAM. Man what a bland interior. On top of that, is there almost no rear leg room???. So this is what 55K gets ya? Overall not bad but average at best on the inside. I did not take a drive but I'm sure there is plenty of power and he said handling was pretty good. lWhats next for this model

In reading the August C&D, there was a short take article on the new 08 STS with the newly offered Sport Pkg for V-6 models. C&D said great things about the car and never complained about the cheapness of the cabin. They just said that the controls for the radio/HVAC were difficult to decipher. question: going to order new slade. Dealer can't help (none on lot). If I order the nav system with Rear DVD, is there three slots? can I do navigation at the same time passengers in back are veiwing DVD. I was on a bit of a roadtrip yesterday with a friend, covering 500 kilometers in 8 hours. We visited some of the surrounding lakes and towns to the east of Toronto. On the way back, I dropped in on Oshawa, and to no surprise they had some hot cars by the factory. My camera battery was almost dead, and after these pics it shut of, so they came out looking crappy. Just wondering if anyone else is having - or has heard of this issue. My 2008 CTS - Direct Injection RWD - with the ultraview sunroof is making terrible creaking and groaning noises every time it is driven over any type of change in road elevations, bumps, driveways etc. It is quite the cacophony of noises and is making me irrate every time I drive the thing. My joy of ownership has turned to not wanting to even look at the thing. I know a trip to the dealer should solve this but it is inconvenient. OK, the Jaguar XF 5.0 Supercharged got into an accident and I got an ATS 2.5 from Hertz as a loaner until it gets fixed. Here's my impression after a couple of days with it. THE GOOD Cabin appointments are better than the SRX or the Gen II CTS. Tight, nice textures, sharp (HD) displays, very good seat comfort and even the base car's BOSE stereo is very decent. And, for the first time they are not cutting corners and under tucked that headliner between it's edge and the screen!
