After numerous teasers and various leaks coming out, Toyota rolled the Mk.5 Supra this morning in Detroit. Bringing the Supra to life required Toyota to bring in a partner. In this case, that happened to be BMW. That begins under the hood as there is a 3.0 twin-scroll turbocharged inline-six with 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. Has it really been eight years since Hyundai revealed the Veloster? According to our calculations, the answer is yes. So today at the Detroit Auto Show, Hyundai debut not one, but two Velosters. We'll begin with the regular Veloster. The basic shape hasn't really changed, it has only been refined. The cowl and A-Pillar have moved slightly back to make way for a longer front end. The new grille that made its debut on the Sonata is present here on the Veloster. The dual door layout on the passenger side is present as is the center-mounted exhaust. The Toyota Camry isn't what you would call exciting. Bland and boring, yes. But the Japanese automaker hopes to change that perception with the introduction of the 2018 Camry. Toyota allowed their designers to go somewhat crazy with the Camry and it shows. There is a bit of Prius and C-HR in the design of the new Camry with a more aggressive nose, lower hood and beltline; and a very short rear deck.
