I saw 2 new Impalas on the lot at my local dealer the other day, and I have a few questions about ordering models and options.. One of the cars was a Black SS with light grey leather interior, but it had the woodgrain dash applique instead of the Chrome-ish stuff that I thought was specific to the SS. Can you order an SS with the woodgrain dash, or one of the other models with the chrome? The other car on the lot was a dark gray "3LT" that also had the light gray leather, but it also had the 3.9 V6; I thought that the 3.9 was specific only to the LTZ... this car had LTZ wheels and stickered out at over $28K; seems to me that if you can order a "3LT&…

The Camaro convertible is off the table probably for a year as GM tries to save cash and claw its way back to profitability. Analysts predict U.S. car and light truck sales in '09 will be even worse than in '08 and the Chevy Volt and Cruze will have to succeed before GM can spend on such extravagances. Just made an inventory of some Camaro items that I have in my collection, including the actual Chevy dealer laminated display for the 2002 model year that chronicles Camaro's "hiatus". Hoping insiders can give me a bit of clarification. The current GMT201 MiniVans were supposed to be replaced by GMT962 about 2009. With all of GM's cancellations and delays I have heard GMT962 got replaced by GMT511. Can the insiders confirm or deny this and if its alive has it been delayed (to when?) i never realized that on the cobalt they had 2 different bolt paderns? a 4 bolt and 5 bolt for the rims... is it just SS models to get the 5 bolt?

as i was reading an article on how the GTO is back on the zeta platform in 2008. i cam across this.... well, i must admit....i was dissapointed when my wife said she wanted to turn the Trailblazer in on a HHR. she recently found out she was going to be transfered which will result in a 90 mile / day commute. i already have a 88 mile commute in the opposite direction. the TB got about 18mpg combined....that wasnt gonna cut it. i am 25 and we have a 7 week old and wasting $$ on gas at this times just doesnt seem wise. i get roughly 25 mpg in my MAXima.... when my wife wanted a HHR i sorta scoffed. my father in law works for GM and we do get the employee discount, so that of course would be nice, but a HHR? well.........i love it. i have been looking for a G35, TL, L…

GMT161 had been progressing for quit few yrs as a Mini SUV on Theta below the Equnox & VUE for Chevy, GMC and Saturn but I have heard rumors it is another victim of the budget axe. since we all know that the Colorado/Canyon and especially the Hummer H3 could really use a V6 engine, would it be possible to offer the 3.9L V6 thats used in the impala/Monte carlo in these?? of course it would have to be mounted diffrently, but if they are planning on bringing back the camaro it would probably use the 3.9L as its base engine, so they would need to engineer it for rwd anyways..

Don't know if anyone has seen these, but I thought I'd post them. Here's one of the front that looks like it's from relatively early on: I think I like the headlights here better. So we have a couple of vehicles over here that are not avalible in the united states. first of, i'll start with the zeta impala, i wish i had pictures to show you, but it looks confused between a current impala (rear looks the same as current gen including tail lights.) and the front doesnt really know whats going on, has the same side profile almost as the g8, and front lights look like bug eyes, not so pleasent. didnt really get a chance to look it over as i was driving by on a bus. the lumina, looks to be on the epsilon, looks kinda similar to the 08 malibu, but it looks like it wasnt given the same refinement as the malibu, although the tail lights might be a go…

If you have your heart set on getting a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette, you'll be waiting a bit for the chance. General Motors announced today that it has issued two stop-sale notices that cover 2,800 2015 model year Corvettes. About 2,000 Corvettes have a potential problem with the driver's side airbag which may have been not properly attached and could separate in a crash. Another 800 Corvettes sitting on dealer lots may have only have one parking brake cable attached and not two. This causes the parking brake not to be as effective as it should be. I have a question about the previous gen Malibu. Was it a Gm pairing with Toyota that shared a platform? And if so which one and which was the Malibu based off of. Im having a debate with somone on another forum and I need a quick answer lol.

About 20 years ago, GM decided to "shelve" the GM80 program. This program was to spawn a front wheel drive, plastic body, V6 Camaro and Firebird. Its a significant turning point in Camaro History. Who here likes it? who doesn't? what was the best part about it? what would you have changed? General Opinions on the thing. I for one like the styling, the idea of the thing, but they failed in the execution, Basing it on the trailblazer(not that they had much an alternative) and releasing it underpowered in its first year with the auto only combination didn't help The later years LS2 with the 6sp manual was really cool, but they are still stratospherically expensive even today.e

The Silverado/Sierra appears to be going towards a more upright and boxy look than the previous model. The front end looks to be more evolutionary than revolutionary, continuing with the large, square headlights and wide grille.
